Time for recharging
The house was perfect for our needs. There appears to be a mild odor when first entering the house after having been closed up for awhile. The kitchen had many condiments and other supplies. However, in the description it indicated there was a crockpot, I did not find it. A dutch oven would be a nice addition. The bathrooms were also very well supplied. A recommendation from us would be a rubber bathmat for the tubs or a grab bar. The hot tub was wonderful! The view was lovely. All in all we would definitely stay here again. Thank you for sharing your house!

Beautiful mountain cabin!
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this lovely cabin! It was clean and far enough away to be a retreat, but close enough to local activities that we got to enjoy that too.

Repair dispare
Property is great space and location but we spent a good amount of time fixing minor maintenance issues. But, the last we the kitchen was in disarray due to water leak. Repair never took place in our last five days. We stayed 3 weeks and it was obvious management company is not prepared for last no stays. We asked for toilet paper at beginning of second week and never received it. For a short stay I think you would really enjoy it.

We really enjoyed the house. Our only complaint is when you walk in the door there is some kind of smell. Not sure what it was but only smelled it in the kitchen area. The location was amazing!!! We would definitely rent this house again.

Nice but dirty and no fireplace as promoted.
Property marketing indicates a fireplace & was informed to bring my own. NO FIREPLACE, hauled wood 400 miles. Vents are filthy, pull out bed had cheerios and debris under cushions, windows haven't been washed for years. Kitchen tools cheap and very trim. Great setting but needs a thorough cleaning.

Stunning viewing and comfort
This cabin offered everything we wanted for our first trip to Colorado. It was very spacious. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen and bathrooms were well equipped. We enjoyed the hot tub treat each morning. Our very top favorite part of the place was the stunning view of the mountains and starlights from the deck! We love this cabin and the location. You feel like you’ve really gotten away from it all and yet there really are lots of great things to do nearby. This is a family favorite spot and we’ve been here three years in a row. We love it!

Amazing Views!!
It was our first time in Colorado, and staying in this cabin made our experience 500 times better! The views were amazing, the rooms were perfect size, the grill was ready for us to use..... the hottub was the cherry on top. I loved that that the cabin has its own privacy, and that it was away from from the city, but close enough to where we were able to go without hesitating the drive. We will definitely keep this cabin in mind, for our future stays in colorado.

Really enjoyed the stay and the ambiance. Tried to call the property manager, left a message we were having some toilet issues! Was never responded to and made do with the other toilet. Last night we were there came in and the TV would not power up, left a note for the cleaning staff!

Even better than the pics
The view was amazing. Loved the hot tub at all times of the day. The night sky was beautiful and completely quiet. So relaxing. Very clean. Had everything we needed. Kitchen was stocked well. Vacationed with husband, 7 year old daughter and 13 year old twins boys. All had a great time. We stayed 5 days and only left twice: once to visit Garden of the God’s and the other time to drive up pikes peak. Both were short drives. Also tons of hiking trails very close by.

Beautiful cabin!
We had a great time at the cabin. It's beautiful and well-maintained, and it was easy to get in touch with the owners. The hot tub was great, and we had a lovely view from the deck. We visited in December and the cabin was decorated with lights on a timer, and the Christmas tree was lit and waiting when we arrived. I would definitely love to go back.

A Perfect Cabin Retreat
This a great place for a mountain vacation. It’s both close enough and far enough away from things to do. You feel like you’re out, but have all the comforts of home and a hot tub!A great part of the state to explore. My family loves it here.

The accuracy of the description for cabin and property was 100% . Beautiful cabin beautiful secluded very comfortable and clean. We were visiting in late August the first night was pretty uncomfortable just because of the heat. Even with the windows open and ceiling fans on it was to warm to sleep comfortable . The following nights however were cool and perfect. ,so I doubt that no air conditioning is usually a problem. All in All the place is wonderful. Close to many attractions if you want to drive 30 minutes or so. If not you have all you need. Don’t hesitate on choosing this one.

The views
The property was amazing!! The owners really went out of their way to ensure everything and anything was available to make our stay comfortable. My wife and I stayed for a week to get away from it all. It was just the seclusion we were looking for! Coming back to the beautiful cabin felt like home after a long day of adventuring on 4x4 OHV trails in Pikes National Forest with a Jeep. It rained twice during our stay, but on one occasion after it had cleared up we saw an astonishing double rainbow from the front deck of the cabin. On the note of the front deck- I must say that we anticipated wonderful views based off the photos that are shown on the listing. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the photos listed do absolutely no justice to the truly breathtaking views of the neighboring mountains while standing on the front deck. In general any photo of a mountain never captures the true awesomeness, so this was not to say they were poor quality photos!! We needed to get away just the two of us, but without a doubt would say it would be a wonderful family vacation property. We will definitely be returning with ours in the future! If you have read this far in the review- seriously look no further and book it! You will not be disappointed!

This place was amazing! It was an hour or less to all places we wanted to visit.
Quiet, gorgeous scenery, wildlife surprises every day included deer, chipmunks, squirrels, and even a bear one day. Wi-fi was a great add on since we didn’t have phone signal. Lots of great extras in the kitchen included condiments and in the bathrooms included shampoo, body wash, and conditioner. Tons of extra blankets and pillows available. Lots of games and DVDs. Hot tub was super relaxing during cooler evenings. Messages and questions were responded to very quickly.

Not that the cabin wasn't nice. Just wasn't the best cabin on the home away's app . The shower curtains smelt sour and the comforter was dirty. At the end of our stay we had to all pull sheets from beds. In my opinion in the price for a cabin i shouldn't have to strip my own bed . Also there are A LOT of rules to follow like; *shower befor you get in the hot tub, *no shoes allowed in the house, *no outside trash can (had to pile a weeks worth of trash bags inside), *very strict thermostat rules. All in all our stay was mediocre at best ... and if you dont have 4x4 your parking in the street. NO WIFI AND NO CELL SERVICE

Hi there, We appreciate the honest feedback of this cabin. This cabin actually has just been sold, and I believe that you will find some of these kinks to have been worked out. The driveway is a bit steep, but has been recently been graded since your stay. Wi-Fi has been installed, so the home now has the internet and cell phones will work with wi-fi calling. Thanks to your input, we have gone through the posted rules and streamlined our literature. For example, the requirement to strip the beds was from the previous manager, and not something that we require. We have taken care of these discrepancies, and are extremely sorry that this led to any inconvenience during your stay. We do hope that you'll come stay with us again under the new ownership, and enjoy 15% discount. Thank you again for taking the time to share your concerns!

Great value
My family and I had a lovely time, but I was worried because there was no cell reception and no land line. If there had been an emergency, we would have had to drive to get assistance. It looks like there used to be a land line installed and I would recommend that the owners put one in, as in their instructions they frequently mention to call 911 in case of emergency.

A very nice cabin tucked deep in the woods. It was ideal for a quiet getaway.
The cabin was equipped with everything necessary and was surface clean. The deck was a great place to sit and it had a hot tub we did not use. The king sized bed was very comfortable. We have Verizon cell phones and there was no service at the cabin which does not have WiFi.

The view from deck is fabulous and cabin was very clean! We were very disappointed to learn after we arrived that we were not allowed to use the wood stove ( owners use only said sign). The temperature was high forties at night and we were looking forward to a fire. The pull chain for ceiling light in master bedroom has been broken so the light could not be turned on. There were no lamps on night stands so had to take one from living room to have a light in the room. The second bedroom closet was locked for owners use only, so no where to hang your clothes. It was stated that a hairdryer was furnished, but was not there. A wine opener was also not there as stated in inventory list. We didn’t use the hot tub, so can not review it. It was difficult to get up the dirt driveway after several days of rain before we arrived. The paved road in subdivision ends about a mile before getting to cabin and is dirt based. County equipment graded it the day after we arrived, but left a ditch that we had to cross before we could get to driveway up to the cabin. We left cabin very clean as had all meals but one in town, but have not had our cleaning deposit returned as stated on list in cabin. The last four years we have used this company to rent a vacation home for a week, and have had wonderful experiences. I feel the homeowner misrepresented the cabin to the company, and since there are so many cabins in the area, choose another one. Other guests left disappointed reviews in house guest book. ( The Johnsons, we stayed 3rd. Week of August )

We appreciate your review of this home! This cabin is now under new ownership, and we believe that you will find many of the items that you mentioned to have been remedied. Wi-Fi has been installed, so the home now has the internet and cell phones will work with wi-fi calling. The old pellet stove has been replaced with a gas fireplace, so is now available for all of our guests to use. Our records do not indicate that a security deposit was taken out on your reservation. If your records indicate otherwise, please let us know via e-mail asap, so we can get that taken care of. We do hope that you'll be able to stay with us again in the future and enjoy the improvements!
