Loved behind the yellow door!
We just enjoyed a week at this very welcoming home in a quiet neighborhood close to downtown COS. We loved the house! It checked all of the boxes- safe, clean, great location for area activities/dining and very comfortable. It is a charming neighborhood with very friendly neighbors out walking their dogs. Although we did not take advantage of the hot tub, we did enjoy the scenic morning walk down the street with a beautiful mountain view, we sat out on the front deck some evenings, we enjoyed morning coffee in the sun room and after horseback riding we were happy to have a washer/dryer. Before and during our stay Caren provided excellent and timely communications. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend to others. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Amazing place to stay in Colorado Springs
My family rented this property for our family vacation. This property has everything you need and more. Most importantly you cannot beat the location. We hiked, did horseback riding, zip-lining, went to a rodeo, did the Manitou Incline, shopping in Manitou Springs, Garden of the Gods, 7 Falls, and of course went up to Pikes Peak. Caren is an amazing host and was always available to answer our questions….100% recommend staying at her beautiful home.

Great location, accurate listing, beds were super comfortable, kitchen was nicely stocked with necessary utensils/plates/cups/etc. would definitely stay here again if I was in the area. Host was super responsive, and checked in on us while we were there.

Great Location!
We stayed at this property and loved all the different floors and spaces available, the check in and out process as a little behind as i would suggest to update it with more technology but other than that loved it!

Thank you so much for the feedback. Just to be clear, the arrival door in the driveway does have a keyless entry keypad. The keys are only for those guests who would like to use the door locks.

Perfect Getaway
We loved staying here! My family and I were out west for a big family wedding and decided to take a long weekend to recover, and we’re so glad we chose this house! It was in a charming neighborhood but close to all the things we wanted to do in Colorado Springs. The house itself had we needed and tons of personality. We especially loved the vinyl collection! All 7 of us were very comfortable. Thanks again!!

Fabulous home in great location
We loved our stay in Colorado Springs. The house itself was adorable, decorated nicely, plenty of towels, basics and very clean. Our only complaint was the initial day trying to access the property. After a long day of traveling with several adults, we had ordered groceries and were looking forward to getting in and getting unpacked. However, the door was locked! While the keypad worked with the code, the bottom lock was locked. There were no "extra keys" as the access listing had said. Caren took an hour and a half to get back to us about locating an extra key. We thought we had been shammed and even called VRBO to try to remediate the situation. After we were in, the stay was amazing but we were all quite frustrated on our first day.

Absolutely true. Again I am so sorry. That was the first time that has ever happened and an mistake/oversight by a cleaner. I was in a meeting with my phone turned off. To be fair though, I did call to make sure everything was ok before I turned it off, and you did not answer. I expected you to be in the house early as requested. And the extra keys are inside the house for your use as told in the manual, not outside. I was glad we spoke soon after and got you in. Also happy the rest of your stay was fantastic.

Wonderful home in a quaint neighborhood. Efficient lay out - 4 bedrooms and 2 baths. Hot tub. Within 1-2 miles of lots of restaurants. Highly recommend!

Comfortable and Convenient
We enjoyed our three-stay at Cedar house. Communication with the property owner was prompt, the home was very clean, and there were nice extra touches (shelves of books and games) that we appreciated. Also, the wifi is good! We had no problems with Zoom meetings for work. We were traveling with parents in their 80s and 90s to visit family in the area, and aside from one step between the ground floor master (king bed, big tv, step in shower - Yeah!) and kitchen/living area, which we knew about it from advance communication with the owner, it was easy for them to navigate and a comfortable home away from home. It's hard to find a VRBO with an accessible ground floor master bedroom, and this one worked well for us. The house is a 3-5 minute drive from the restaurants and businesses on Tehon, and about a 20 minute walk to a nice multi-use path that runs for miles along a river/creek. Great for morning sunrise walks with views of the mountains. Easy proximity to other Colorado Springs hiking sites, and super close to the Olympic and Paralympic museum. The neighborhood is quiet, and parking is easy for one or more cars.

Welcoming stay!
This was our first trip to Colorado Springs and it did not disappoint. Caren was a wonderful host. Anytime we had a question or needed help, she was on top of it. This house is so cute! We loved the bedrooms and appreciated the amenities. The robes were an excellent added surprise when we used the hot tub. The house was very clean and comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet and we felt quite safe. We enjoyed having our coffee outside on the lovely chairs. It was near all of the sites (Pike's Peak, Garden of the Gods, Manitou Springs) that we had planned to do. We were even able to walk downtown for breakfast. Thank you for providing us with an enjoyable experience.

We loved this sweet updated house! More than enough room for my husband and 3 kids (Ages 26-11). Great location close to everything and quiet neighborhood. We didn’t get a chance to use the hot tub because it was hot out, but I’m sure it’s nice too!

Great house!
We loved our stay in Colorado Springs. This house is located in a quiet neighborhood which we really appreciated. It was also centrally located so it was just a short drive to any excursions we decided to do during the day. It is the cutest house on the block. It was very nicely decorated and refreshingly clean. There was plenty of space for our large family. I do wish the livingroom area was larger for gathering after dinner but we were all able to fit…..it was just cozy. Carin checked on us several times to make sure we had everything we needed. I even messaged her about places to eat and souvenir shops and she gave us some great recommendations. We would definitely stay again if we are going to be in that area.

We loved our stay at this house. It’s an older house that has been redone so nicely! Lots of character and room to spread out. My kids loved the loft area and the park within walking distance. It is close to Garden of the Gods and we also explored nearby shops and restaurants. I would recommend this house and would stay there again.

The home is set up perfect with just enough separation for adults. The location was amazing for our family as well close to so much and great neighborhood. I felt safe going on a morning run! Very clean with plenty of kitchen appliances etc to feel like you are at home! Great communication with owner as well.

Adorable Home
Super clean, charming home near Garden of the Gods, Manitou Springs and Pike’s Peak, and downtown Colorado Springs. Kitchen and bathrooms are small but all other areas provide plenty of room for comfort. Would stay again!

A lovely family vacation in Colorado Springs
I enjoyed the house it was beautiful. Caren had most of the things we needed. It was a couple of things that could've been better the wifi didn't really work, the garbage disposal stopped working. Besides that the house was lovely...Caren is super friendly and helpful. The location is peaceful and quiet. The hot tub was wonderful!! Colorado Springs is hug and its plenty of stores nearby. Fyi: Be careful at night there are large candleflies that fly in if you have the door open to long lol.

This place was amazing. It was so clean, and big and all the rooms were so cute. It is the perfect vacation home, I loved everything about it, and the record player and the records, that was so cool. Cottage Perfection!
Everything about our stay was excellent! The layout and details of the home is so well thought out. Beautiful design, comfy beds, awesome location. We spent one day downtown walking around the shops and enjoying the local food. At night, we played games in the dining room and enjoyed having a kitchen for dinner. Plenty of room for us six girls! Thank you, for a lovely girl trip and much needed rest and relaxation. Your home is the sweetest!!

Comfy beds, unique home with lots of charm!
Our family loved our stay & wish we could have had this home for our whole vacation (we visited multiple cities). The home was perfect for allowing us to enjoy time together or spread out. The main points the fam wanted me to rave about in this review: *Beds were awesome! Some of us slept better than we do at home. *Watching the deer from the hot tub was cool. It was comfortable & clean. *Robes were a nice touch! *We liked the games. *The decor was beautiful, lots of character put into the home. Even my boys mentioned this, ha! *Nice neighborhood, friendly people. *Caren was friendly & was an amazing host, home had more than we even needed. We will definitely stay here again if we have the chance.

We arrived later on the afternoon of Aug 12, 2019 to find a very neat, clean, and inviting home for our stay. The home is located in a very good part of Colorado Springs, and met our needs to provide us with a great experience for our visit to the area. Amazing House
Caren's house was perfect for our stay in Colorado Springs! It was warm, inviting and provided plenty of space for our group of 7. The front patio was great and we were pleasantly greeted by a calmed buck one morning as we were enjoying cool weather and coffee. The kitchen was stocked with appliances for us to cook breakfast and dinner. And the beds were dreamy!! Everything about the house is wonderful. Thanks Caren for sharing your beautiful house!!

Hot little house
Located in a quiet, clean neighborhood this little home has a lot to offer. My family of 6 adults had plenty of room to stretch and relax after spending the days taking in the sights. My only recommendation is pull the cover off the hot tub an hour before using it. Too hot!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS ADORBLE HOUSE
I just had the pleasure of being the first person to stay at Caren's latest masterpiece. This house is awesome! It is so close to downtown, Colorado College, the Olympic Training Center and Memorial Hospital. The central location and cute historic neighborhood are great. The house itself is unbelievable. Everything is brand new and decorated beyond belief. I love the mid century furnishing and vibe. The house felt cozy and it was stocked with every item we could have needed. The furniture, beds and linens were so comfortable and inviting. Everything felt so fresh and clean, it was hard for us to leave the house! Great view of Pikes Peak from the front deck and a sweet hot tub out back. We really felt like we were on a luxury vacation. My family cannot wait to stay here again. Thank you Caren for being the best hostess.
