AMAZING PLACE!
We were blown away by the location to everything in Woodland Park, as well as the ease with which we could get everywhere else nearby! The place was clean and well-stocked, the instructions for the hot tub, fire pit, and other amenities were very clear and easy to understand, and it was a GREAT view of Pikes Peak! Thank you for providing such a private place that’s not a hotel, and for providing board games and books to entertain ourselves! It was a very relaxing weekend, and it was nice to not have to worry about anything while we stayed there.

Great for a getaway!
We loved our stay here! Woodland Springs is a cute little town and the house is walkable to many things, including a great restaurant down the street. We liked being out of Colorado Springs but still having easy access to a lot of different areas. The kitchen was great and well-stocked. We loved using the grill and fireplace every day! We’ve already recommended it to people and hope to come back ourselves!

Perfect Weekend Getaway

Cabin with mountain view
The cabin waa easy to get to and had a great view of the moutains. The cabin was perfect for us to relax at in the evenings after heing on the go all day. Plenty of seating for all of us, extras that the hosts had available and a hottub. Would definitely stay here again.

Great getaway
This place was extremely nice! It was a little closer to the other houses and town than I was expecting from looking at the pictures but the town isn’t very large and was nice to walk around. The views from the house were great and you could see it from the hot tub or the fire. The inside was extremely cozy and well set up for everyone to be comfortable no matter the weather conditions.

Amazing
We absolutely loved this place, it was clean, and fully stocked with everything you would need. We had an amazing experience with the deer coming into the yard, there were several of them and it was an amazing experience, we sat in the hot tub with the amazing view and fed the deer! The only thing I wasn’t prepared for was the pet deposit and the added charges for an extra guest. Maybe I overlooked the pet fee and it was my fault, I had also only intended for there to be 2 of us upon booking but that changed to an extra person before leaving. So there was an added fee for the extra guest. No big deal. I just wasn’t aware of it prior. Again, it’s probably something I overlooked, but this place is wonderful, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, just wanted to note the added fees in case the next guy overlooks it as well

So glad you enjoyed your stay. We do charge for pets and guests have to select they want to bring a pet in the reservation page as well as select the proper number of guests and then there is no surprises. Thank you and come again!

We loved it!
We had a great time at Jim and Julie’s place! The location was perfect, easy to get in and out of in the snow and is a central location to any other sightseeing you would want to do. The house was cozy and had everything one could need. We cooked 75% of our meals and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to be successful. Our only complaint was the king size bed (definitely needs a new mattress) but the hot tub helped and was awesome. Overall, great hosts, great stay, we will definitely be back.

Thank you for staying and you were great guests! A mattress that fits all guests comfort is always tricky. Guests comment on how comfortable it is as we had recent guests who wanted to know where we purchased it last year to buy one as it was comfortable to them.

Home away from home!
We couldn’t be more pleased with our stay here! It was in a great location, very clean, so cozy. Exactly as advertised. Mrs. Julie was so sweet and helpful for anything you might need! Mr. James came and plowed the driveway for us when we had snow. We felt so at home and had everything we needed. Be sure and feed the sweet doe that comes right up to the porch to hang out! Thank you to the Gretz family for a wonderful getaway. We can’t wait to come back!

Thanksgiving fun

Very comfortable cabin with a great view & hot tub!
We stayed a few nights at this lovely cabin. It was very comfortable, clean and convenient to town. The view of Pikes Peak from the slider and patio was great! The patio has a great fire pit and hot tub that we enjoyed. The kitchen had every thing that we needed. The beds and the living room furniture were also very comfortable. We loved the gas fireplace! I think it should be noted that the owner lives directly next door with a view right into the yard/patio area. So privacy is not happening, but they were both welcoming & kind. I think it is always good to know that the rental is owner occupied. So I will mention it here for others considering the rental. Woodland Park has some nice restaurants within walking distance and it is convenient to the highway to get to local sites like the Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak Highway and the Cave tours. Highly recommend!!

Thank you for staying. We do live next door but we do value our guests privacy and may greet them but by no means watch guests. We typically exit from the front and although our renters in our downstairs exit the side of the house, they are not hanging around. As any in town home, you will have neighbors coming and going.

Very cute and cozy, updated cabin style
Visit was for a wedding up the hill, so we did not have much time to spend on-site, but we did make time to relax in the hottub and enjoy the beautiful fall weather. Kitchen was very efficient and well-stocked. The king bed was super comfy. Every detail is well-considered and addressed with a note for clarity. Enjoyed meeting the owners to hear a bit of the history. Would definitely stay again!

Lovely home and owners but wasn’t quite right for us
Overall the home was very lovely and had all the amenities as described. Owners seemed pleasant and there were deer roaming the yard our entire stay! Now here’s where things might not bother you but did for us. The beds and pillows were incredibly hard to the point grandma had to go sleep on the couch. The owners have a ring doorbell on their house that faced into the patio and yard, they also had a camera facing the patio and hot tub. It might be coincidence but when we first used the fire pit the owner showed up outside. And when we got in the hot tub they came outside. They had a welcome binder being very specific about not touching certain buttons so maybe they were checking up on us? Maybe not ,but it sure felt that way. We wanted a getaway to let the kids run around without the feeling of being watched. Also they had instructions that we needed to remove all bedding, towels, wash all dishes and empty the trash. I don’t mind tossing the trash and throwing a load in the dishwasher but bedding is where I draw the line. We pay a cleaning fee and are on vacation so I’m not thrilled with having to take bedding off. On our departure day we didn’t make the family breakfast because we were too worried about leaving any sort of mess behind and being charged. All of this can be a total misunderstanding and I understand the need of cameras but just don’t have it facing the clients high usage areas. Thank you though for the hospitality and opening your home to guests!

It is unfortunate you felt that you were watched but this was certainly not the case. We had out of state friends coming in and I saw a notice and went out to make sure they knew where to come in. We Never watch guests but as a neighbor someone may be going in and out of the door. We were not watching you in the hot tub. Our friends did step to the edge of our deck to see the deer and you happened to be in the hot tub but no one intentionally stepped out to watch anyone. I’m not sure what you mean by not allowing you to push buttons that could be a sign of something nefarious. The only buttons we say not to push are certain hot tub buttons and fireplace remote buttons . We never asked you to wash laundry only to the run the dishwasher. Sheets and towels were asked to be put by the washer. This is a common practice of all rentals we have stayed at and not a big demand. The kitchen stove looked like breakfast was cooked as grease was splattered all over stove top and a pan of grease was on the stove. I am not quite sure why you made so many assumptions but we can assure people privacy is important for us and our guests and have 5 star reviews as a result.

Amazing!
This home is absolutely perfect for a mountain getaway. The hot tub was just right! The sunrise on Pike Peak was gorgeous. The beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen was just right for making a home cooked meal for our visit with our son during parents weekend at USAFA.

Great stay in Woodland Park
We enjoyed our stay here! Cozy cabin, the kitchen was well stocked, plenty of room to relax. The hot tub was a great way to end the day after hiking. The last morning we were so happy and surprised to have the deer visit!

Perfect Get Away
My husband and I took our two toddlers to this property for a week. It was a wonderful escape from reality. We are used to being in a country setting, but even with this property being in town it does not feel in town. It is away from traffic, has a yard, and allows you to feel secluded.

Simply wonderful
We recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful VRBO property in Woodland Park, Colorado, and had an amazing experience. The views of Pikes Peak from the property were simply breathtaking. The hot tub was a real highlight of our trip and we enjoyed soaking in it under the starry sky. It was so peaceful and relaxing and the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. The fire pit added to the cozy and relaxing atmosphere. The property itself was very cozy and inviting, with comfortable furnishings and all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was well-equipped, and we appreciated the little touches such as the books and board games that were provided for us. The owners of this property, Jim and Julie Gretz, were fantastic hosts. They were friendly, accommodating, and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed for a memorable stay. Jim and Julie have clearly put a lot of love and care into their property, and it shows in every detail. We can't thank them enough for their hospitality and for sharing their piece of paradise with us. If you're considering a trip to Woodland Park, we highly recommend booking this VRBO property owned by Jim and Julie Gretz. It truly was a vacation we will never forget.

Superb
The view alone made this property worth it. It is in town, but it wasn’t noisy, and felt overall pretty secluded and away from the street with the fencing. Loved sipping my coffee outside with my dog while we watched the deer. My dog stayed by the sliding door almost the entire time when we weren’t out hiking because she loved the views and wildlife. They had a lot of spices and things in the kitchen that most places I’ve stayed in don’t have, so that was really nice! It was also very clean. The owners live next door, but they did not bother us at all. We had no issues during our stay. If we ever come back for more hiking we will definitely stay again!

Wonderful time in a wonderful home
We stayed here in March of 2023 (very recently as of writing this) and it was fantasic in every respect. Location was perfect. The mountain view of Pikes Peak from the porch is astounding, yet it's a quick drive to all the major spots. So it feels tucked away, but close to where you wanna visit. Plus, the city of Woodland Park is a delight in and of itself. The owner, Julie, was helpful and responsive. Loved the hot tub, and fireplace. Super clean, beds where comfy--would could not have asked for more! We will be back!!

Great Staycation
Husband and I came up for a long weekend, from Denver. House was super clean and cozy. Check in/check out procedures were clear and easy to follow. Our dog loved watching deer come and go in the yard. We will definitely be back!
