When we arrived at The Avenue, we were transported back in time to a mansion built in 1866 but with modern comfort, steps away from quaint Manitou Avenue shops and restaurants, near the Manitou Incline, Garden of the Gods, and Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. The majestic Pike’s Peak was visible from multiple locations during our stay.
Our family gathered for Easter in this beautiful home, our first gathering since COVID, and our time together was wonderful.
The home is so huge that we asked each other, “What floor are you on?”. We joked that we should play “Marco Polo” or “hide and seek”.
