Located by many attractions.
We had not been to many of the more popular attractions in the Colorado Springs area. This property is centrally located close to many of them with short drives. The host recommended other areas to visit as well as where to do any shopping. Worked out great!

Peaceful mountain lodging
Two night stay, well-located for exploring Pikes Peak and the surrounding area. Two bedrooms and a "bonus room" with twin trundle off the living room offered plenty of space for our party of four. Full kitchen and dining room would be very useful for longer stays.

Pleasant stay! We were six members ( 2 toddlers, parents, and grandparents) there was ample space for all. Sitting outside for some BBQ during the sunset was refreshing for the soul, we all loved watching the forest lights at night, and my husband was happy to play the piano after the long walks :). Everything was very clean and they had lots of things to keep the kids entertained, they did not miss home, and that for us was a plus; therefore, if we visit Colorado Springs in the future and there is availability, this place will be our first option.

Great location with beautiful views.
A cozy rental located in a quiet area just minutes from area attractions. The furnishings are eclectic, but comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils. Outside decks are great for enjoying the views and fresh mountain air. Best of all the hosts were wonderful and very helpful!

Awesome place
We stayed with Bernice and Mike last week of June. We had an awesome time. The rental was very clean. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed. The hosts are very accommodating and knowledgeable about the area. Loved the enchanting forest!

Mountain View Dreams
The view and location of this place was just what we were looking for in a rental. We wanted to be high up with gorgeous Mountain View’s. We also wanted ease of access to the city and nearby places. The owners live upstairs and are wealth of information. The are the perfect hostesses. They were they to welcome us in person. We actually got snowed in while we were there! Everything they recommended we enjoyed.

Little Piece of Pikes Peak
We loved our stay with Mike and Bernice. They were very helpful and kind! The view of the sun rise makes it worth it 900000%! So much to do so close yet out of city! We’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

The best experience in Colorado lodging
Extremely unique and amazing experience like no other, both Mike and B are extremely friendly and down to earth, they were very helpful and yet they give you your space, The home was extremely comfortable and had a cozy feeling plus the views are absolutely amazing! Thank you so much and we will see you next year for sure. I would get more than five stars if I could definitely recommend this place.

Absolutely worth the price!
My family and I had quite an enjoyable time during our visit to Colorado in no small part to the awesome stay at our VRBO. The hosts were very accommodating and personable and let us have our space without any interference. I can't recommend this property enough! If you have the opportunity to stay here, do so!

Awesome place away from the hubbub of CO Springs
This lovely apartment is in a quiet and beautiful part of Colorado, with excellent views of the mountains. The property is also surrounded by trees, providing the feel of a secluded cabin. As a side note, it also happens to be adjacent to North Pole park, a highlight for young children looking for fast, spinning rides that will make most adults turn green.

Perfect get-away!
The hosts were exemplary…unbelievably down-to-earth and so, so gracious, hospitable, and kind. The property was clean and so comfortable. The view outside was phenomenal. We will be back! Book your stay here for a restful and rejuvenating get-away.

Great location and excellent hosts!
This is a lovely mountain cabin with a nice view and an excellent location for Colorado Springs attractions. The hosts are very nice and had suggestions for things to do. Cannabis friendly. They had even set up a little Christmas tree for us - it really made us feel at home over the holidays.

Great Cabin
This cabin was great. My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights on the tail end of our 3 week road trip. For us we wanted to see Pikes Peak and spend some relaxing time before we headed back home. The location was beautiful. We enjoyed sitting in the warm cozy living room with our coffee in the mornings looking out at the deer on the mountains. If your looking for things to do there is plenty around to keep you busy. If your looking for relaxing with a great view, this cabin definitely has that. Stocked with all the amenities and great owners who are on site and very friendly and helpful. We will definitely go back to this cabin when traveling to Colorado.

Wonderful Location! Super Hosts!
We had such a great stay! The views from the deck are beautiful and Mike and Bernice are top notch people and great hosts. Super friendly! Close enough to major sites and cozy enough to stay in for the day and watch it snow. Very well kept and very clean. We will be back!

All the comforts of home
We enjoyed this “off the path” bungalow!!! It would be perfect & spacious to bring our whole family, but we also enjoyed it as a couple getaway! All the things to cook, grill, relax & get your walking done! Bed was very comfortable & it was so clean! Mike & Bernice were so chill! Very welcoming!

Perfect Getaway!
The online pictures do not do this place justice. It was much larger than we expected, the views are beautiful and Mike and Bernice are the best hosts we have ever encountered. Mike answered every question and suggested things to do. We got to meet their two dogs and their beautiful cat, Aggie, made an appearance too. You cannot go wrong staying here...we WILL be going back :) Thanks Mike and Bernice!

Great location - easy to get to Pikes Peak Highway
Very clean and roomy cabin. Only three of us, so plenty of room to spread out. Beds were very comfortable. Large bath area so multiple people could get ready at the same time. Excellent location for accessing Pikes Peak, Manitou Springs, Colorado Springs, Garden of the Gods, etc. Host (Michael) was very helpful in giving ideas of places to eat.

Great location! Sooooo clean! This was the perfect escape for our family during Covid. House had everything we needed! We just brought a pack n play for our 1 year old. Bed were very comfy and the house is quiet. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Place
We visited for a short vacation with two of our adult kids and had a fantastic time. The house was very clean and offers all the amenities you need. It is located right above the entry of the Pikes Peak Highway, and there are some little stores within walking distance, including Wines of Colorado, where we had a nice wine tasting and dinner. There is a nice patio with views of the Ormes Peak range, which we used for home cooked dinners. Mike and Bernice, the owners, are very nice and welcoming, and we had some nice conversations. We are definitely looking forward to returning, as our stay was not long enough to cover all the things to do in the area.

This is a great little place! We traveled as 2 adult couples. The Hosts were great people. Very gracious. Beds were comfortable, and the space is well furnished. Ample room on the deck/patio for grilling and chilling after a day of sight seeing and great views of the mountains. We would stay here again

Perfect for family get away in the Mountains
The property was very clean and the owners were great. Mike and Bernice were very helpful and willing to share their knowledge of the location and things to do. The location was located within 10 to 15 minutes of all the attractions we were possibly going to visit. Colorado Springs is only 15 to 20 minutes from the house as well. We will definately look into staying again if we go back to that area.

Review
Plenty of space inside and small porches outside. It was hot, but we stayed nice and cool on the lower level. Friendly and knowledgeable hosts. Dated 1980s interior, but no big deal. Some residual peppermint cleaner smell, but didn’t really bother us. 420 friendly outside. Steep driveway, but manageable. Overall a good experience.

Thanks for your review, we have grills on the outside decks and a brand new glass table for dining outside, room for 6-8 to sit outside and enjoy the cool early evening temperatures.our guests that are here now had to turn on the furnace, very cool last couple of days.This VRBO is very enjoyable for Bernice and myself ,we like meeting all the new folks from all over and all professions.Thanks again.Black Bear Hideout.

Awesome location
On Pikes Peak, close to most major attractions. Stop by the pickle shop at the bottom of the hill too.Mike and Betrice were awesome host. Cozy but enough room for 8 to 10.....2 green, pull out sofa, couch, full bunk with single top. Watch for the bears though....jk we didnt see any.

Dave and family and friends are Great down home folks wish they could have stayed longer but they were missing their dogs. We know how that is when you take a trip. They went skiing and boarding on Monarch ski mountain wish I could have been there.also they went up pike’s Peak and stayed busy at all the local attractions .Thanks for staying with us Mike and Bernice.

Wonderful
The property is extremely nice. It is newly renovated and very clean. The bathroom is large and has two separate user areas. It is almost like having two bathrooms. The views are lovely. The hosts are very friendly and made many helpful recommendations.
