Family Reunion

Great host. Our 15 grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed the recreation inside and outside. Lack of AC was a bit of an issue with the hot August weather, but still a great experience.

Our family had a great get together at this peaceful property. The accomodations were comfortable and welcoming. If you are looking for a place for a large (20) group with kids, this is the one! There were plenty of activities for yhe kids and the open main floor made for a great gathering spot for the adults jn the group.

Amazing house and location!

This was our 3rd stay here and look forward to returning. The house has everything a large group needs. And the setting - with the perfect view of Pike's Peak - has a unique mountain feel, even though you are miles away. We love this place!

Beautiful location for a large family reunion!

The house is perfect for a large family get together! As there are bedrooms on 3 different levels of the house it is easier to divide groups up to meet different needs (families with kids on lower level where there are games, 2 rooms on main level for anyone with accessibility issues, plus several rooms upstairs for more quiet and privacy. Wonderful porches for enjoying the outdoor scenery, hot tub for relaxing at the end of the day. Plenty of kitchen equipment for large group meals. There is also a lot of outdoor games for kids, incl. a basketball net, a kiddie playground, and a fire pit for making s’mores.We had a wonderful time!

Our 2024 Monument, CO Stay

We had a wonderful vacation in the Colorado Springs area, with the spacious home being ideal for our large family ranging from ages 12 to 75. Chris and Bob were quick to remedy a few small issues, and were good to work with. The location was great, and we thoroughly enjoyed the Garden of the Gods, ride up the cograil to the top of Pikes Peak, the Olympic museum and the training facilities, the Cave of the Winds, hiking trails in the area, and other attractions.

The Wedding Lodge

Our stay at this property was for a destination wedding and we had family from several states come together. The house was absolutely wonderful with more space than ever imagined The interaction with the property owners was cordial and requests handled promptly. Was above expectations and we have memories for a lifetime.

Perfect for a family retreat

The house is large enough to allow for small gatherings of family for discussions but also space for all of us to have group dinners. The kitchen had all appliances needed. The views are amazing from all sides of the house. We loved our time there!

"Monument"-al Reunion

The property was terrific! It was clean and very well-kept. Close to the grocery store and gas. Only about 30 minutes from multiple attractions in Colorado Springs. We had 24 people on site for our first reunion in 8 years, and could not have picked a better place. We were visited at the fence line by some cattle from next door. We also saw several stoats, and a 6-point buck with his antlers still in velvet! There was plenty of room for all of us, we never felt crammed in or cramped. The large gathering areas were perfect if you wanted to play pool/ping-pong, hang out in the kitchen, or spend some time in a slightly quieter space in the great room. There is even a volleyball/badminton court in the yard. The patio areas to cool off in the later afternoons and the view of Pike's Peak were also great! We were there during a heat advisory - very unusual - but the fans/coolers in the upstairs bedrooms helped the bedrooms cool down nicely overnight. We cooked on the property every night. The 2 refrigerators and 2 kitchens plus the 2 large ovens and microwave were very much appreciated. The owners were responsive to any questions before and during our stay. We had people ranging in age from 19 to 66, and all of us had a good time. I recommend the property without reservation.

Family Favorite

This was our second stay at this property. It is absolutely our favorite. The house is amazing with a beautiful view of Pikes Peak. This is a very spacious home with room for everyone. The lower level game room has pool, ping pong, game tables and a second kitchen. Outside they have horse shoes, tree house and volleyball. The kids and parents spent hours playing. It’s located within easy driving distance to Colorado Springs and Denver. It took us an hour and 15 minutes to Idaho Springs for white water rafting and some famous Beau Jo’s pizza! Home is as described if not better. We plan on booking again. You will not be disappointed.

Great place for big family

The house was perfect for a large family group. The view of the mountains was beautiful! We loved having a big kitchen and lots of table seating. There was even plenty of seating on the deck. The owners were quickly responsive on any questions or issues. The house did warm up in the afternoon and evening but we were pleased with how much it cooled off after sunset.

Great family retreat!

We came in for our Son's Graduation from USAFA, and had a wonderful time with the all the activities of this wonderful property. Hosts were great and the whole family enjoyed the tranquility and space of the property!

Great for extended family while in town for wedding

We stayed here along with several of our adult children and their families so we could attend our son's wedding. We had a total of 12 adults and 10 children. After the wedding we stayed a few extra days to explore a number of nearby places: Garden of the gods, Pike's Peak, Cave of the Winds, Manitou Cliff Dwellings, Glen Eyrie, and North Cheyenne Cañon Park.

Great family vacation!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the property. A couple of days were a bit warm but we did not feel uncomfortable in a house with no air conditioning. The view of the mountains is amazing from the deck. The size of the house was perfect for 22 family members. Only downfall was the basement refrigerator was not working properly but we only needed the one in the kitchen. One of the toilets leaked a little but we had 6 other toilets that worked. We would definitely recommend this property to others.

Yearly family vacation

The home easily accommodated 20 people in a beautiful setting. The listing did not indicate there was not air conditioning. The home did not seem to have been professionally cleaned. The property and the listing was cheapened by the fact that there were not suffice and updated housekeeping items, such as dish towels, dish cloths, trash bags, etc. We did not appreciate the unannounced visit from the property owner. Their check list for things to be done when leaving (quite extensive), should also equal a “check-in” list of items a client would expect.

Reunion 2023

This big house was even better in person than the pictures online! The views all around the secluded property were absolutely beautiful! We had 20 people stay for a week and the house had so much space that you didn’t feel on top of each other. Our host Christine and Eric the property manager were quick to respond to any needs that we had. We had the best reunion and highly recommend this property!

Great Experience

First time my family has traveled to Colorado and this was was great to accommodate a large group of people. There were plenty of sitting areas, bedrooms, bathrooms and activities entertain kids. You have easy access to both Denver and Colorado Springs with a short drive. Overall we had an awesome time.
