Lovely home

We had a lovely stay in the Beach House on Boundary. Updated, very clean house with lots of thought put into what a vacationer will need. Short walk to the beach, cute shops, and fun restaurants. Quiet community. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect for a multigenerational stay

We had a lovely time staying in this house at Colonial Beach. It had everything we needed for all ages (infant through seniors) and was a perfect location. Easy access to the beach, restaurants, and the public dock to use our kayaks.

Great location for triathalon

We stayed at Diana’s beach house for the Colonial Beach triathalon. It was walkable to everything and comfy for a group of 8. The place is very well organized and homey.

Great getaway

The house was perfectly able to accommodate us, with plenty of room to spread out. Very easy walk to the beach and to restaurants, a short drive to anything you could need.

Great getaway

This was an annual getaway for our group. We loved Colonial Beach. Even though VRBO originally led us to believe the house was near VA Beach, that turned out to be a non-issue.

Clean and spacious!

The beach house was perfect for our weekend getaway. We appreciated the amount of space to spread out and items left for us to use. Our family enjoyed playing tennis down the street with the rackets and balls Diane provided and had fun playing the board games. We will definitely stay here again if we are ever back in the area!

Colonial Beach getaway

The property was exactly as advertised and a lovely home. It was a very convenient short walk to the beach. Also, the home was within a short walking distance to a Mexican restaurant and brew pub. The four teenagers in our group enjoyed playing the games available in the house. It was a relaxing stay.

Perfect Accommodation! Clean house!

Clean beautiful home. Very spacious. Close to everything including the beach. You will not find a more helpful or more organized host! Excellent communication. We could not be more pleased. Great trip! Just stay here. You won’t regret it!

Great location, nice house

You can’t get a better location in Colonial beach. The house is clean, well organized, equipped and can comfortably sleep a lot of people. Use of the beach cart, chairs, and toys was a luxury and meant we didn’t have to haul our own. It’s a newer house that is nicely decorated and thoughtfully laid out, we spent a lot of time on the screened porch.

Spring getaway

My college aged son and i stayed a few days during spring break. It was cold outside, but the home was cozy and warm. We played cards, baked a cake and talked late into the night about the future. We explored the area and visited the beach and enjoyed some karaoke at the Icehouse! The house felt like home and was extremely clean! It was in a fantastic location and well stocked.

Quiet & Retro Town

Diana was wonderful to work with, the home & her description was very detailed. Everything you would need was there! The only thing we had to pack was our personal clothes, beach towels and food! The town and area where the house is located was very quiet, short walk to the beach and bay. The house was perfect for our family of 5 adults and 3 children. This was our first time in VA and we had a blast, the river is awesome for young kids to swim in. Would highly recommend this home!

Spectacular

Beautiful house! Met our every expectation! Six of us girlfriends met from 3 states! We had plenty of room, well stocked, fab kitchen, 3 bathrooms (dreamy), screened in second floor front porch, the Monroe bay just a block right out the door, and the beach at the Potomac 2blocks the other way!!!! Lots to do; restaurants, ice cream, bars, breakfast, fun little stores! Golf cart town, too! Seems like everyone has one! Rent one and see the town! A church for everyone…extra special is St Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church (almost) on the beach, has a daily Mass! Colonial Beach is a pretty special place! Highly recommend this rental and the host, Diana!

Beautiful home

Diane has a beautiful home, very clean and well set up. We enjoyed relaxing on the porches and my pooch loved the fenced yard. Unfortunately the neighborhood was not for middle age people. We enjoyed renting golf carts and touring the quaint little town but the food choices and entertainment locally were very limited. As we picked this home for the beach locality it was kind of a let down with mucky brown water and a lot of jelly fish. On the other hand the beach was not overcrowded. We did drive out to Washington to the Arlington which is a must see for everyone! Thanks Diane for your hospitality and quick responses, it was a pleasure renting your home.

Wonderful place to rest and recharge!

My daughter (age 21) and myself stayed at this home for the past few days. We had such a lovely time! The house is beautiful and Diana has thought of everything to make you feel welcome. The house has a wonderful layout and a comforting vibe. Out of all the vacations we have taken, we were the saddest to leave this place lol and we are already making our next plans to come back! I loved the little goodies Diana has for sale around the house that makes it convenient and also goes to a wonderful cause. I loved the balcony off of the upstairs bedroom to have coffee and read. The bay is close and we enjoyed Los Hermanos Cantina, which is just a short walk away. The beach was super close as well! Thank you Diana, for sharing your beautiful home and for the sweet memories we now have from staying there! ❤️

Great relaxation

We were a group of moms and our children. The house was great! Very comfortable and clean. We would have found this place to be quite a gem if it weren’t for the jellyfish. I was unaware that they would even be a problem but every one of the kids got stung. The littlest ones were beside themselves over it. I know it’s not necessarily something that you would “sell” a vacation stay with, but if I had known I would have researched what time of year the jellyfish come through and planned accordingly. But the house was great. Probably not quite equipped for cooking for a crowd but otherwise, really nice! Master bedroom needs a new mattress. Just by the way. 😉

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay

From check-in through check-out, I have no complaints about the Beach House. The house is exactly as described and in a fantastic location. It is near plenty of restaurants and shops, and we were able to walk everywhere, including the beach. The road is a bit busier than others, but the enclosed backyard gave us a safe outdoor space. The accommodations were ideal for our family of 5 and 2 small dogs. Each room was spacious, well-appointed, and comfortable. Even the smaller bedroom didn't feel cramped. The only drawback is that the bedrooms upstairs do not have drawers, so you have to hang everything in the closets or use your luggage. My favorite part was the screened-in porch off the master bedroom. It is a nice place to people-watch, read, or just enjoy the salty air. There are plenty of linens, kitchen supplies, and other items to make your stay more pleasant. Diana, our host, was communicative and provided so much information upfront that we didn't need to reach out to her during our stay. I would definitely stay at the Beach House again if we are ever in Colonial Beach. Thank you for an amazing week!
