Wanted to stay longer! We stayed for a weekend as a delayed Christmas celebration with our family. Sledding Hill was wonderful for the kids. Kitchen layout was not ideal for many cooks in the kitchen, and the dining room felt tight. There could've been a few more plastic plates and glasses - for kid friendly dining. Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms, and overall a wonderful stay!

Property was great for our extended family of 12 plus one wiener dog! The hot tub, fire pit, and pool table were a huge hit! The fenced in area for the dog was a wonderful surprise :)

Very nice house. Overall most everything was great. Small minor considerations would be fixing a jamming ice maker on the fridge. Complimentary wine was a nice touch, elevating would be cross promotion with local vineyards. Some minor wear on furniture, but nothing that detracted from our stay.House had presetup christmas tree, top marks. House was warm when we arrived. Working with the hosts was very easy on any of our questions.

The property was nice for our family reunion. Rooms were good for a large group. Plenty of seating. The only thing we’d noticed was the cleanliness was a little sub-par. I think it should have been cleaner. Other than that it is a nice place.

Beautiful home that accomodated 14 of us easily. Spacious rooms for gathering. The kids caught and released fish and snapping turtles. Would recommend this property for large groups. A complaint is the garbage and recycle bins were full and on the street the four days we were there. With 14 people, there was a lot of garbage and recycle and had to be bagged and left in the garage. The hot tub worked well but sand covered the bottom. Overall, the family was happy with the place and a good time was had by all.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we all agreed that we would come back. My only recommendations for the future would be: the entire house needs a good, deep clean and that the hot tub needed chlorine or refilled. It didn't smell the best and we didn't use it. If you are reading this review, don't let those two things stop you from booking. It is a HUGE home and we were all comfortable. It is 20 mins from South Haven and Silver Beach.

All around nice facility with plenty of activities

It was a real nice stay. We had alot of fun.No complaints but a couple of improvement opportunities. We shoveled the entire driveway to improve parking, the top step coming up from the laundryroom is taller than others trip hazard, Bunk bed ladder needs secured.

Great property!

This was a wonderful property with a lot of unique features. The outdoor spaces are wonderful and offer a wide variety of activities. Inside, we had everything we needed, and the instructions were easy to follow. The checkout list was not burdensome and made the end of the trip a breeze.

Beautiful property

The place was beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay. It felt very excluded but was only a few minutes from anything you need. We were celebrating my parents 50th anniversary. Everyone had a great time! If you want actual beds for everyone I would say 11 maybe 12 people max. There was aan issue wiith it actually being wheelchair accessible as advertised. Once I communicated woth the owner they purchased a ramp quickly. We purchased a bedside comode so my mom would have access to part of the house. That fixed the problem. We were appeciative of the fix. Overall a great staysay 11 peole

Fantastic place for a family reunion

The house and property were great for our multigenerational family. The house had ample space for our group of 9. The grounds are really beautiful, with 2 ponds, some trails in the woods, and surrounded by trees. The location isn't the best- it's an oasis in the middle of a lot of farms and a shooting range, and 15 minutes away from Benton Harbor, the nearest town. Really ideal for us and we highly recommend it.

Great 5 days together with family

This house was perfect for our family of 15. Check in and communications was very easy. Convenient location to everything one would want to experience. Kids loved fishing in the pond. And adults loved the family time around the camp fire.

Our second year staying at this property it is a great fit for multi-generational family plenty of space to spread out . We enjoyed sitting around the fire pit in the evening with plenty of room for everyone around the fire. The host is easy to reach and responds quickly. Kitchen set up is ideal for feeding many people and it became a meeting place for everyone to eat and chat .

Family fun weekend

Property and home very inviting upon arrival. There were 7 adults and 2 babies (ages 1 month and 12 months). More than enough space for all of us. 2 bedrooms were not utilized. Lots of sitting areas inside and out. We enjoyed fires every night, played volleyball, kayaked, used the paddle boat, fished, and played some pool in the basement. We enjoyed the grill one night and the hot tub all 3 nights. The kitchen had nearly everything we needed with some items I wasn’t expecting and brought myself. The towels were very nice as were the showers. Those little things are a nice added touch. TP, paper towel, dish soap, and hand soap all provided. Only a few suggestions; 1 would be to have more storage containers with lids as we made all of our own meals with plenty of leftovers. Another would be to offer baby gates for the 3 sets of stairs as the 12 month old is very mobile and curious. Also have available if not already in place outlet covers for the plugs that are within a child’s reach. Overall she was able to explore in the very large open areas safely and she is never unattended but just an added safety feature. The patio umbrella was not working and that would have been nice to offer shade for the babies as well. Overall we had an amazing time. Lots of bonding and downtime. Large gathering areas that met all of our needs as well as enough space if anyone wanted alone time. Loves the house and would definitely come back!

Really nice but….

It’s a lovely property that’s need to be deep cleaned inside and out on the grounds. We pick a cabin every year and wouldn’t mind going back but just asking for the upkeep to be better.

Overall the house was just as expected based on the description in the listing. Would definitely rent again. Some pointers to make it even better: There are multiple thermostats in the house so we were a bit chilly before we found and adjusted all of them; volleyball court was a bit overgrown so we had to cut some tree branches that extended onto the sand; could've used some more towels

Beautiful Property-Fun

The location and description of the property were accurate. My family of eleven had a fun time with all that was available. The children enjoyed the paddle boat and fishing activities. Also, the beaches in St. Joseph were great. I know that I am a "neat freak," and the cabin was basically clean, but it could use a deep cleaning including the windows. Also, the bench at the fishing pond needs to be reinforced or replace. Overall, it was a good long weekend.

Fun family getaway

We had a great family vacation! Our family is very active and the paddle boat and kayaks, hot tub, volleyball court, ping pong table and great outdoor space were well used. We even had a family Olympics! We love to cook and with 15 of us and small children, eating out wasn’t an option. Our biggest wish was for more cooking/baking pans, bowls and large serving pieces. The owner was very responsive and had let us know that there weren’t a lot ahead of time. There were lots of dishes, wine glasses and silverware. Overall it was a wonderful getaway and the accommodations were comfortable and spacious.
