1 mile to Lake Michigan beaches. 15 minutes to St. Joseph and South Haven, 90 minutes from downtown Chicago 2.5 hours from Detroit. About the lake: the private lake is rustic, mostly used for nature & wildlife viewing. Some guests feel comfortable fishing & taking the canoes out; it is a no-frills experience and at your own risk. One day we hope to renovate the skoolie for additional guests.

Great private location with easy access to main roads. Amenities were not all there. No usable grill, unable to use the lake due to heavy algae growth, and fans needed to help circulate cool air upstairs. But otherwise, great property and quick responding host.

Host did a fantastic job communicating in a timely manner! The place was very interesting and close to a small and intimate beach. The hot tub was having issues but the host was understanding! They had baby gates which was very helpful for the stairs!

Very easy process from start to finish with this rental. So many lovely perks in this home. Perfect location. Easy access to the highway as well. Outside could use a little TLC but overall a fantastic home and the hot tub was perfectly private. Highly recommend.

This lovely log cabin was exactly what my friends and I were looking for - 6 of us fit comfortably and yet were quite cozy for our board game get-away weekend. We particularly enjoyed the roomy, recently re-done lower floor with a convenient bathroom and extra sleeping options. The hot tub was a real treat also! The property was easy to get too, yet felt very tucked away. Kelly was an excellent host, responding to a few of the questions we had extremely quickly and helpfully. I fully recommend this spot for anyone looking for a conveniently located Michigan Cabin getaway!

Nice place but no air control, host would not respond quickly to any temperature request. Cabin was hot all the time, no screens but on two windows for ventilation.

Great place to stay.

Was a nice get away for a long weekend with family. Would be nice if there was a larger area inside for seating with family after a long day of hiking. Overall was a great stay. Property was beautiful.
