"Hidden Gem is amazing. We stayed for 4 days to enjoy the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games. The house was perfect for a mix of adults and young children. Super clear and easy booking, communication, check-in and check-out. We already have ideas on coming back. Highly recommend."

"We enjoyed our stay. However, because of mobility concerns, we will probably not be back. The cabin was very clean but….the stairs and showers were a concern for us as we are in our 70s. The road up to the cabin was longer than expected and had so many hairpin turns! But the cabin and view were lovely! Even our pups enjoyed the deck!"

"There was no cooktop or AC in bedroom. The shared deck didn’t look like pictures and when a whole family was in the next unit, there was no privacy on it. Could only stream on TV. Location was OK but couldn’t walk to Blowing Rick."

"This is a fabulous mountain getaway! My husband and I went for a few days to celebrate a milestone birthday and wanted to rent someplace really special. This property is beyond special! It is so unique, well designed, well built and is in the most spectacular setting! Every feature of every room was clearly well thought out with extraordinary taste in decor, fixtures and amenities. The drive to the cabin on the partly paved, partly gravel road leads to an amazing, secluded, and peaceful...

"The property is located in Springmaid Mountain. Cell service is very spotty, and you cannot be guaranteed a signal. This made it difficult to access Vrbo for check-in instructions. There was an email with access to a website where you could click on a Check-in button where you would think would give you a code. But since we were not given the key code in advance there were a few minutes of confusion and stress as the property office was closed. Once we were able to get a phone signal we...

"A cozy cabin in a beautiful area. It was clean, comfortable, and suited our family well. I was glad to be able to use the kitchen that was nicely stocked with the basics, including stainless steel pots and utensils (we try to avoid plastic and Teflon), so that was a pleasant surprise! The kids enjoyed the adjacent campground's arcade room (about a five minute drive or 20 minute walk) from the cabin. Overall, a pleasant stay!"

"Renting from this host has been a 100 percent positive experience for me! The home fit all our needs, as well as being quiet and well outfitted, the hot tub was a plus on many evenings. This was my first long term rental and I was pleasantly surprised at how well it was managed by our host. He was quick to respond to questions, moved quickly on a small repair that was necessary, and generally made us feel welcome. Would definitely rent again! Barbara"

"What a great property! Directions were on point. We booked for a girls" trip for four of us and we each had our separate spaces to decompress and be in the moment of this lovely place. Each bedroom was an en-suite, had separate WFH areas if needed also. Very clean and beds were so comfy ! Decor was beautiful. Easy drives to Boone, Blowing Rock and Banner Elk. Communication with the host was great. Looking to book again here !"
