New Years
Wonderful cabin not to far from home but in the mountains with great views. Enjoyed our family holiday hanging out on the deck and building a campfire to ring in the New Year with local firework show. Hope to revisit in future.

Such a beautiful place to stay
Beautiful house on a hill, lovely fall colors, incredible views and access to the lake. House had plenty of space, kitchen was well stocked. Everything was awesome!

Amazing Stay!
My friends and i rented this place for their wedding, and we had a blast. Property was absolutely beautiful, clean, and cozy. Views from the jacuzzi were breathtaking. Spacious rooms, game room, and host was quickly responsive. Would highly recommend!!

Family time
This was a very accommodating home! Has everything you can imagine! Plenty of bedding for all our guests! Beautiful deck to enjoy your morning coffee or evening sunset with a glass of wine! Was very peaceful! Host was amazing! Quick yo answer any questions you might have! Highly recommend this getaway!

Fabulous views
There were Fabulous views from porch, great time viewing night sky and seeing an awesome shooting star! Sadly, while we were there, the hot tub was unusable because of algae and unclean. We tried contacting property owner, but we were unable to get it rectified during visit. Spacious accommodation, but kitchen could be better accessorized. Thank you for letting us stay.

Great getaway spot
Be warned, while Colbran is only 20 or so miles away it is a lot of roads with slow speed limits, so it does take a while to drive to town. That said, this is a gorgeous location! The house is nice and had plenty of towels and blankets for everyone. Lots of cows nearby, and this trip had the most wildlife I'd ever seen. Deer, mountain goats, rabbits, and foxes! With the wildflower fields nearby, I could not have imagined a better place to elope.

Wedding celebration
Oversea friendships developed online during the pandemic met to celebrate a wedding. This place offered the space indoor and out for celebration, wedding ceremony and gorgeous views. Kitchen well stocked for a lot of cooking. Appreciated the availability of all the extra sleeping space.

Great lake home
We were visiting Vega for a family wedding and also celebrating our wedding anniversary. The directions to get to the property were easy to follow (dont trust Google maps to get you to the reservoir though - it wanted to route us the very scenic back way). The location of the home is perfect - away from any other homes and noises with great views out every window. The beds were comfortable and we both slept well. Our only complaint was the cleanliness of the home. When we arrived, there were giant chunks of hair and dust all over the floors, which i had to vacuum up before we even got unpacked. The fridge and microwave did not appear to have been cleaned in quite a long time and the kitchen counters and sink had crumbs scattered all around. The house just seemed like it could use a very thorough deep clean as the window sills and furniture were very dusty with dead bugs around. The property manager was very quick to answer our calls and questions and offered to rectify the cleanliness complaint, however we declined and just tried to clean what we could to make us more comfortable. Overall we had a great stay and will likely stay here again next time we are in the area.

Great Location and Size
Very nice property with room to expand for larger groups. The location and facilities were nice. The only downside to our specific visit was that it didn't seem like the house had been sweept/vacuumed/dusted in a while. We visited in the fall and there were a lot of dead bugs/flies along edges and in fixtures, along windows, etc. Also, there was a nice dart board, with no darts.

Beautiful Location
My new wife and I chose this location the get married and boy oh boy was it amazing! The property was absolutely beautiful!!! The house had plenty of room to hold all of our wedding party and get ready. The owners were quick to help us when we ran out of water. There were quite a few dead flies in the window sills and in the cabin but that was the only downside of the entire weekend and not the easiest thing to control. We appreciate you guys so much and are so happy glad we had an amazing place to have the most important day of our lives. We are so happy that we have a place to come back to on our anniversary’s and really just to come back with our friends.

If Heaven on Earth Exists-- THIS IS IT!!
We were absolutely thrilled with the property and the owners/management. The view was awesome from every single spot on the property. A lake to the west, surruounded by mountains and lush green hills. Not a sound but the cows and birds in the background. No traffic. Other people. Nothing. Just the beauty of nature on a place that was comfortable, easy to access, clean and simply WONDERFUL. My adult kids are already planning to rent this again next year! It's that awesome! Also the property manager was so helpful and checked in on us a few times during our week stay. Kaleb the owner was on vacation when I'd called prior to visiting and he answered his phone while on vacation in another country! If that's not excellent customer service, I don't know what is! The house was so clean and amazingly efficient in all we needed for a week with 10+ people! Thank you so much for giving us a place to make such beautiful memories!

This property is wonderful with lots of space. The communication is fantastic, it was clean, beautiful views, everything as you would expect it plus some added benefits. I would highly recommend the spot and would like to go back even. Just book it.

Off the beaten path
It is a little difficult to get to but worth it for sure. The views are spectacular. We were inconvenienced by the wind and couldn't enjoy all of the amenities but still had a good time. Don't get in a hurry coming or going and you'll be fine.

Awesome family winter escape
This was a beautiful cabin with amazing views, great access to lots of fun, and just about anything you could need to accommodate your larger group. We had a group of 10 and there was room for more in the main cabin. Beautiful sunset views while soaking in the hot tub, while kids went sledding down the hill nearby, and others roasted marshmallows over the fire. Couldn't have asked for better.

Great family get away
My adult children, their partners and I went away for a long weekend family vacation. This is a beautiful property. Views from every window, remote, quiet and peaceful! We enjoyed snowshoeing, sledding and hot tubing under the stars. We were cozy inside when the temperatures dipped down to 4 degrees outside. We had everything we needed and enjoyed our family time.

Collbran Thanksgiving
20 of us stayed at this beautiful Vega lake retreat for Thanksgiving and we cannot say enough about what a great time we had! There was the perfect amount of space, beds were super cozy, impeccably clean, well decorated and spectacular 360 views. We were so happy to get away from the craziness of the city and enjoy the fresh mountain air. The weather was so nice we were even able to enjoy our dinner on the deck! We will definitely be back!

Beautiful Mountain Views & Friendly Owners
My husband and I knew as soon as we got engaged that we wanted a small wedding in the mountains. We looked at venues all over Western Colorado, but none of them spoke to me. Plus the price tag was hard to swallow. Then we started looking at VRBO properties to do our own wedding thing just to find that 98% of the VRBO properties do not allow events, let alone weddings. Then we found this property! We could not be happier. When we checked in 2 days before the ceremony, it was clean and ready to go. We were able to make the space our own and the views were unbeatable. September in Colorado makes for gorgeous colors - this property has unmatched views of the lake and the mountains. All our wedding visitors loved the views too. I love that my hubby and I can revisit the place where we got married. Kaleb was wonderful to work with, as was Amy.

So beautiful!
This house was clean and comfortable. The views were amazing, the stars at night were fabulous and the hot tub was a plus! Even though the lake was too low for us to enjoy there was plenty to do and enjoy for the whole family!

We had a really nice time at this property. Kaleb was always very prompt in his responses, and the house had enough amenities that staying home was a fun time. It is about an hour and 20 min. Away from a grocery store, so prepare for that!!

We had a wonderful stay here with our friends. Beautiful views. Kids enjoyed the game boards at the home. Wifi worked great as well. King size bed very comfortable. The property manager was easy to work with and quickly took care of the couple things that needed taken care of. Our favorite part was hanging by the fire pit making s’mores. There is a nice lady that lives in the property at the small 2 car garage home about 20 yards from the house. Didn’t notice her at all other then the time she came by to take care of a couple things for us. Very nice lady. We did karaoke outside the house, we were loud and had a lot fun and she never came over to tell us anything. Truly a great relaxing private get away with beautiful views.

Family getaway
We had 16 people stay at the house. We brought our four wheelers for a weekend of fishing and four wheeling! The house was incredible. The hot tub and deck were an added bonus! We enjoyed our time very much and never wanted to leave! For a side note…. You will need to trailer your ohvs from the house to the trail head because they are not allowed in the state park. We found out the hard way! Other than that…. I loved this place and we will be back!!

The views were amazing. The privacy of this property is excellent. I enjoyed my stay so much I extended it 2 more days. We had a group of 12 and this property accommodated all of us comfortably. By far the best experience with a vacation rental I have ever had.

Awesome getaway
The views are of sorts you only see in movies. The house and surrounding area was clean when arrived. The house is great for families with plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. Outside was amazing with a big deck that lead to the hot tub and fire pit. Will definitely be returning as it was a family favorite.
