An absolute must!!
First of all they really deserved a 10 star rating! The owners are two of the nicest, caring and accommodating people I have met when booking a VRBO! We have a blended family, and a very large one at that! The ages were 10 months old to 76 years old. I booked it for a 4 night, five day stay. My only complaint, was that I didn't have it booked for a much longer stay. From the absolute stunningly beautiful cabin, with ALL the amenities that one could hope for, to the beautiful views, wildlife and abundance of activities, you'll never want to leave!! Thank you Todd and Rhonda for allowing our family to enjoy your cabin as our own. It allowed for some unforgettable memories!!!

Beautiful lake home with loads of amenities
Our family (13 people ranging from ages 4 to 73) had a great time here. The house is beautiful with a massive kitchen, great front porch and a basement theater room. We were able to enjoy all the home had to offer and spend some quality time on the lake. Peaceful and quiet area in a beautiful and secluded part of Colorado.

Snowmobile Trip
Property is awesome. Had 7 guys from IA playing in the snow for 5 days. Plenty of parking for 3 truck and trailers. Ungroomed trail approximately 1/8 mile away. Definitely a must if you are playing in the Grand Mesa area.

House is perfect Ride in Ride out for trails.
We love staying here and acces to the snowmobile trails is great. The house is large with several areas people can set visit and relax. The grandson loved playing with the blocks and trying to snowshoe.

True Log Cabin in Western Colorado Mountains
We had a family vacation with our Adult Children and 9 year Granddaughter. It felt like we were staying in a resort all to ourselves. We had a group of 10 and had plenty of room to spread out. Some of us skied at Powderhorn while the rest of us relaxed by the fire in the grand living area. The next day we all rented snow mobiles on the top of the Grand Mesa and had an awesome time. We are already planning our next trip and will definitely book this cabin again.

Great place!
Todd and Rhonda are excellent hosts! Great communications, it is always spotless clean and well stocked. It was a little cold inside this time. But the fireplace is easy enough to work and does a good job adding warmth. Thanks for the use of your beautiful home!

Cabin on Vega Lake
Big and roomy for our family and guests....beds and furniture were all very good, kitchen was good. All added up to a great place for our needs. Our daughters wedding and getting together to meet grooms family. Wedding was 11-11-2022 at 8200 ft altitude.....so was pretty cold and a little windy but the place had floor radiant heat and all stayed comfortable (we did use fireplace a few times and it was excellent to give just a little more heat) It is a place I would recommend to all but people with walking disabilities. The stairs could be a problem for some. Beautiful place, with many extras. Dennis Plummer

Lovely home and location
We had a church leaders retreat, and it was great. There is plenty of room to spread out and relax, play games etc! The theater room was perfect for meetings and sessions of discussion. The beds were comfortable. It was very clean. The owners are very good communicators and they were a pleasure to rent from.

Everything you need for a wonderful time!
This cabin will not disappoint. The pictures are accurate and the description online. The rooms are spacious and plenty of room to have a large group. We enjoyed all the amenities at the cabin and what Vega State Park and Grand Mesa had to offer. Cheers!

Very pretty place
All and all we enjoyed our stay. We were under the impression that we could drive or atv’s from the property which was not the case. The land scape around the fire pit was very over grown so we didn’t feel comfortable using it. Also thought the would be a better view from the beautiful deck neighbors are very close! We had a wonderful time playing cornhole every night! The weather wasn’t great so we didn’t get to take advantage of the lake! It was a great time thank you for sharing you home!

Very roomy
This property is just what you need for a large group. Our family had the most amazing time!!!! We all had plenty of space to hang out and enjoy our time together. The home has everything needed for a great family getaway, and the area has plenty of things to do. We really got a lot of use out of the corn hole game and great selection of movies. And the deck is perfect for everyone to hang out on. The home is clean and kitchen is well equipped with everything you will need to whip up food for and army!!!! Up to date Appliances and Furnishings. The check in and out was super easy. Would recommend this property and stay again.

70th Birthday
We had a group of 11 with ages ranging from 1 year old-70 years old...everyone had a great time. There were plenty of outdoor games/equipment provided and the canoes made fishing that much better. The kitchen has anything you'll need to prepare a gourmet meal. I would definitely recommend staying in this cabin and the hosts were helpful and responded quickly to any questions/concerns.

Perfect for Large Groups
Todd and Rhonda were great with excellent communication all the way from pre-arrival to post-checkout. The property is simply awesome for large groups. I was the trip leader for a group of 11 boys from the ages of 16-18 and a few adult leaders. There was plenty of space for sleeping and the common areas were great for dining, relaxing and devotionals. Vega Reservoir was extremely peaceful with very few boats on the lake. Perfect for paddleboarding, canoeing and fishing. The uncrowded nature of the lake and property are likely the result of it being a good drive from the main sites of Grand Mesa, but worth the 50 minute drive to Powderhorn to have the quiet of the cabin. I look forward to finding another opportunity to either come with family, friends or another youth group.

Great Lodge for a family gathering
We enjoyed this beautiful 'lodge' with our 4 daughters and their families. We all live out of state except one daughter. We were surprised with the windy long road at the final stage of the trip. We were so glad to have information for grocery stores to stop at before we arrived. The two refrigerators held all our food. Each family picks a night to cook! We took walks and used the canoes and played lots of games indoor. We also so deer and fawns walking thru the area!

Good weekend with friends
Beautiful area. Hosts were great to work with! They even responded right away when a smoke detector battery needed to be replaced and we couldn’t find a tall enough ladder to reach the ceiling. The kitchen amenities were awesome. The lighting was pretty dark (this was our only real complaint) and you most definitely had to drive to the lake to fish, canoe, etc. It was close, but not walking distance. The front deck was our favorite part. There was a small sulfur smell from the water but we expected it and the water was still drinkable. We loved the secluded area. A good, positive experience overall.

Awesome Vacation!
We all had a wonderful time and we were there the beginning of June; the temperature was very pleasant in the mid 70's and the water level was great. The cabin is stunning with lots of room for family members of all ages. The teens loved the entertainment room and they especially enjoyed the foosball table. The location of the cabin is great with lots of things to do in the surrounding area. Enjoyed catching fish, having a campfire and it was great that Conoe's were provided although it was a bit to breezy to use them while we were there. Had it been calm it would certainly have been a highlight. The day we left the water was like glass and oh how we all wished we could take those conoe's out to the lake again. The hosts did an exceptional job of providing everything a person could want or need while there. The whole garage is full of equipment to use including bikes, camping chairs for the lake and sticks to roast marshmellows among many other things. Only thing you might want to bring along is some paper towels and some aloe vera gel for sunburns. We were not able to find the daypacks for hiking so I am not sure if they still provide those or not so you might want to inquire about those or where they are kept at. Loved everything about this place and the hosts made the whole process exceptionally pleasant and easy! Would love to come back someday!!

Very nice cabin. Very clean with a ton of usable kitchen utensils. And a basement theater room stocked with a ton of great movies. Snowy during the trip but was able to hang out on patio because it was covered. Definitely recommend this place.

Quilters retreat
This cabin worked great for a group of 14 Quilters! Hauling our machines and supplies up and down the stairs of the house was a chore. We were thankful for a few younger stronger quilters to help. We would request the owners put in an elevator!!! The owners allowed us to move furniture around (as long as we promised to put it back where it was) in order to make room for our tables and sewing machines. We had plenty of space for tables, cutting area and ironing. The lack of bright lighting was the only drawback. Next time we will bring more lamps. Kitchen is well stocked for a big group. Easy for many cooks to be in the kitchen at one time! Sitting at the bar worked well for our meals. The fall colors were beautiful. Very quiet this time of year. Early mornings we could hear the elk bugling, the cattle mooing, and the cranes and geese. The deck was a great place to have lunch, sit and work on hand sewing, read, or just relax. Taking walks was beautiful and relaxing too as long as you're adjusted to the elevation. Couple of the bedrooms have a wide open space near the ceiling that allowed light and noise into the rooms from downstairs so we had to be mindful of early morning and late evening conversations and lights. The bedrooms were adequate including the loft area. Even though we only had two showers it worked out for all of us. Overall great place for our retreat! We would come again.

Nice log cabin with multiple beds. Large open area with living room, well-equipped kitchen and dining area, which works well for a large group. Nice deck. Be sure to look at the stars on a clear night - truly amazing!

Unfortunately I was not able to make it. I woke up sick the morning we were leaving and I didn't want to get my friends sick. To say the least I was very disappointed that I could not attend. I have not spoken to my friends about their stay.

Excellent Property, great stay
We reserved their property for a 3 night stay with a group of our friends. The property was well maintained and away from everything. The lake is quite low but it didn't detract from our stay. The owners responded to my questions quickly and were great hosts.

I rented this beautiful cabin for my husband's celebration of life at Vega lake. We were all in awe of the beauty of the cabin and felt very comfortable and at home with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. They really did think of everything and put a lot of effort in making this a special place. Everytime you turn around, you see something else beautiful.

Really wonderful
We had a wonderful time. The cabin is beautiful and they have all of the necessities that you need to have a great time. The canoes and life jackets were a great touch. The entertainment room was awesome for the kids when they got tired of the outdoors. The internet is a bit slow (3MbS), but that’s to be expected when out in a cabin so far from any urban area. All in all, it was a truly wonderful stay and we were really lucky to have found this cabin!!!

Christmas Present
We love to create memories, This was a gift for the family. It provided time to play games, and run around - Wonderful time to re-connect with loved ones. Seeing the Deer and wild Turkeys was Awesome! The only thing I wished - was the Lake to be fuller, however that was in Gods hand, and nothing to do with the property, or the owners.

Incredible place to stay! Beautifully built cabin. Accommodates large groups extremely comfortably.
