"Peaceful, quiet. no cars, airplanes. Just the birds, sheep, sound of the wind, and the surf of the Ocean. I went for hikes and slept fantastically each night. This is a place to relax and get away from the crowds. Enjoyed every minute of it."

"What a great cottage! Alix was very accommodating and helpful while we got settled in. We were able to sample the cupboard cakes and they are highly recommended. We started every morning in the sun room with coffee and met several of the pea hens who were pretty entertaining. Great walk to the beach which we had all to ourselves. Our only complaint is that we didn't stay longer! Thank you again Alix!"

"Beautiful location, sunrises & views were breathtaking. Lucky enough to watch a dolphin & calf playing in the bay one day as well as lots of sea birds including the Gannets diving for their catch. Could be absolutely perfect but was slightly let down by cleanliness of the property & no double bed in any of the bedrooms. Despite that would definitely recommend & would stay again if holidaying in the area."

"We have just spent two days in this fabulous cottage to explore the NC500 without the stress of bringing our motorhomes up this far. (The A roads can be a bit challenging up here as some parts are single track) The cottage was spotlessly clean, spacious and cosy and also dog friendly. There were 4 adults and 2 dogs in our party. "Zuerst waren wir etwas von der abseitige Lage des Hauses und der Siedlung in Rispond. Nach Betreten der Ferienwohnung waren wir aber sehr angenehm überrascht. Leider kamen wir fast nie ins Netz, um Kontakt mit zu Hause in Deutschland aufzunehmen. Der Gastgeber, der uns persönlich begrüßte war sehr freundlich und erklärte uns alles. Wer Natur und Ruhe schätzt, der ist hier richtig. Zudem ist man in wenigen Minuten in Durness."
