"This was a wonderful experience, very friendly staff who were always ready to help, offering glasses of chilled water in the spacious and well-furnished public rooms and alcohol in the evenings. We stayed in the large Shakespeare room, often used as a Bridal Suite. The spa is great, with a good sized pool, a jacuzzi and unusual sauna.
Really good breakfasts served in bedrooms and at the nearby sister-hotel Milsoms. The fine dining at the main restaurant on the nearby River Stour was sublime,...

"My experience at this hotel was disappointing. I chose it for one specific reason: the pool and spa, so I could enjoy some time with my 3-year-old son. But when we went to the area, we were told that children are not allowed. This crucial restriction, which should be clearly stated at the time of booking, completely undermined the purpose of our stay.
The rooms are basic and dated. The mattress was so soft it affected the quality of sleep, and the overall condition of the accommodation feels...

"Our room was first class as was the staff we met.
We just had a small breakfast but that was also top class. Only one thing spoiled it and that was Experia charging £38 more than the actual cost of the room if we had booked a hotel room directly. We won’t be using Experia again lesson learned (book direct)."
