"Booked as we had an early flight from East Midlands airport. Owner met us soon after we arrived. Nice room, great comfy bed, very good shower. Advised there was a good restaurant just down the road (15 min walk) which we visited and had a very tasty meal. Left in the morning too early for breakfast, but not host’s fault. Very good nights sleep. Plenty of parking. Road to airport a bit narrow and windy, but we made it in plenty of time. Would recommend."

"This was a 3 night stay, with 11 other golfers, in the heart of Wantage, It is an old property in the town square. Rooms were small but adequate. Bathroom was well maintained and clean. (Nice towels).
We dined there once and breakfasted three times. Food was good. Service was very professional and friendly. The bar was well stocked and lively whilst we were there.
Only criticism was the hotel seemed very warm especially in the room. I had a fan and could open the window etc but it did not...

"I booked a proper double bedroom, but on arrival I was given a tiny twin room with two single beds. When I raised the issue, the hotel simply said that it was in the same category and available at the same price. That does not change the fact that I had specifically booked a double room and was given a different type of room."
