    The Space:

    Discover the breathtaking beauty of western North Carolina at this massive estate with 10,000 square feet of upscale living space and panoramic mountain views. Located 32 miles west of Asheville, this luxe manor has two gourmet kitchens, a vintage diner, and an outdoor entertaining space over 2,500 square feet across three stories. This estate seamlessly combines indoor/outdoor living with covered patios, a screened deck, and two upper decks with jaw-dropping mountain views. Sip beverages on comfy lounge furniture. Make use of the gas grill. Tables on both the upper and lower decks offer alfresco dining. The home is uniquely positioned just minutes from the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway and bordering Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Nearby attractions include the Biltmore Estate, Cataloochee Ski Resort, and the Appalachian Trail. Spend sunny days at Lake Junaluska, then sample local flavor at an array of cideries and breweries. The grand living area features impressive high ceilings, a double-sided fireplace, and incredible views from soaring windows. Plush sofas and armchairs offer plenty of comfortable seating. A second living area has a sofa, armchairs, a TV, and a gas fireplace. Play games at a card table or billiards at a pool table. Adjacent, a vintage diner has a bar and seating at booths and high-top tables. Curl up with a book on a sofa or armchair in a third living area. Two game rooms offer foosball, Ping-Pong, and a big-screen TV area. Marble countertops and stainless steel appliances, including two ovens, outfit the gourmet kitchen. Perch at the island, dine at a large table or savor meals in the formal dining room. A second kitchen features a gas range and a table. The main bedroom boasts an electric fireplace, a private balcony, and two walk-in closets. The en suite has a walk-in shower, double vanity, and jetted tub. Five guest bedrooms have en suite bathrooms, including one with another loft space with fun chairs, and all the bedrooms have TVs. Complimentary WiFi and a private washer/dryer are provided.

  • All guests shall abide by our good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity.

  • All properties comes with a starter kit to assist you on your first day before having to go out and purchase additional items. This home is warm and beautiful!! The view!!! I just can’t say enough about the view and location. The home is spacious and has absolutely everything you could possibly need. There were a few issues with door handles and the master shower and balcony door got stuck. Of course, these were small issues compared to the overall experience. We would definitely come back again!

Annual Motorcycle Trip

Love the size of the house, the place is so big you can get lost. It’s perfect for my group, everyone has plenty of space. Love the roads in the area, it’s close to Deals Gap and other great roads.

Wonderful Getaway

We had a large group with ages ranging from 1 year to mid-70’s. The property itself is gorgeous. The check-in/check-out process very smooth and the company even called to check on us during our stay. This would be perfect for a church group or (like in our case) families sharing a stay. We skied at

Family Vacation 2024 four generations 19 people

In years of vacations, this is the only place we have liked so well we came back for a second year. Great place. Isolation house with miles of wonderful views. Recommend it to anyone who wants a high quality, large space house.

Great Easter Weekend

The room was nice and spacious and overall the house will sleep 20 people no problem and easy access off the road will recommend and stay here again. We had at least 20 people and everyone enjoy their stay.

great family getaway

The property is beautiful and the home has plenty of space. We travel together frequently and this is the only house that has had adequate seating in common areas to accommodate everyone getting a comfortable seat. Only suggestion would be adding more cookwawade.

Great place for a large group

The views were amazing. Loved sitting outside watching the the horses and sheep in the valley and just looking at the mountain ranges. The “50’s” room downstairs was so cute and a fun hang out spot. It was just a perfect place for a girls trip

Amazing Ladies Trip

We were here for a Ladies Conference at Lake Junaluska. We all had such a wonderful time. The host was very accommodating and very quick to assist or answer any questions. It is an absolutely beautiful place to stay. The house, scenery and views were all just spectacular!! Definitely would love to stay here again.

King Lodge is absolutely stunning! The views are breathtaking and serene.

We were well accommodated, we had a total of 16 adults and one infant. More than enough room for everyone and then some. The lodge was very clean and peaceful. We plan to book the King Lodge again.

We had the pleasure of staying this beautiful property for a long overdue and first Girl’s Trip! We could not have chosen a more beautiful, spacious home. It was perfect for the 8 of us and there was still more than enough room. The views were OUTSTANDING! We can’t wait to book this property again!

Our church enjoyed a marriage retreat for seven young married couples at the King Lodge. The house well exceeded our expectations. It was very clean and well maintained. We highly recommend the King Lodge.

We recently stayed at this magnificent manor as a group of seven families and the experience was truly memorable. The property excels in scale and entertainment, offering sheer spaciousness that prevented crowding, ample games like Pool, Foosball, and Poker for adults, and countless activities for all age groups of kids; the vintage diner was a major highlight, happily converted into our private bar and lounge. The most important feature was the spectacular, mind-blowing view from the mountaintop location, allowing us to wake up to dense fog that magically cleared to reveal the valley below, and the rooms and bathrooms were clean, providing a comfortable base, with the uphill walk to the entrance gate serving as unexpected cardio. While we highly recommend the manor and would happily return, a few minor improvements would make it perfect: the outdoor grill was far too small for cooking for seven families; we were unable to use the patio Hot Tub area because it was surrounded by a significant amount of brown, itchy worms; we wished there was a dedicated, level greenspace for the kids to run and play freely; and the outdoor fireplace lid was difficult to open, suggesting an actual wood campfire pit would be preferred.

Beautiful home wife h gorgeous view!!

Our ladies ministry group of 24 visited King Lodge and had a wonderful time!! The scenery was absolutely beautiful! The house was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed!! We had plenty of room to eat and relax. I highly recommend this property and we plan to return next year!!

Motorcycle Trip to Maggie Valley NC

We have a large group and it's difficult to find a property that can accommodate 15 guys. This house list 14 beds but there are additional sleeping areas. The location is great right off of Route 209 a great motorcycle road. The house is so big I kept getting lost at first. What a view in every direction! Would definitely rent again.

Graduation, Mother’s Day and Birthday

The property was perfect for my family get together of 16. It was wonderful to all be together and also have the ability to be alone if needed. Perfect sleeping arrangements. The kitchen needs an updated stove and more cereal bowls. We also had a realtor show up to show the house. She was very surprised it was occupied. All and all we had a great time.

Family Vacation

The property was nice and fit our needs for 14 adults for a family reunion. However, we were told right before checkin that the cleaners were still there and needed an extra 1.5 hours after our checkin time to finish up. The house was ok as cleaned, but needs a deep cleaning and some repairs. Couldn't get fireplace to work, many missing wands from window blinds and some don't work, carpet needs cleaning, one of the sinks in master bathroom has no water, only hot water in one of the showers on 2nd floor, ceiling fan in one bedroom does not work, ice maker doesn't dispense ice, no vent fan in bathroom near garage and must leave door open as bathroom gets very cold. We rented a different house from Vacasa in February only to be notified in June that the house wouldn't be available. Had to find another home, and again booked with Vacasa. Asked for one hour more for checkout since we were delayed 1.5 hours on checkin, but they denied our request. Very disappointed. Will not rent through Vacasa again.
