"The hotel is in a beautiful setting. On arrival James and Felix gave us a lovely welcome & explained where everything could be found, we received a room upgrade with a sea view & balcony as they are completing works / upgrades to the restaurant & rooms. The works took place from 8am onwards, it didn't effect us. Its great to see the money being invested. Our upgraded room was beautiful with a wonderful sea view. "No parking available so we parked at the mall adjacent to the hotel. Our flights are at 9am so we checked out at 5.30am but door to mall car park is locked by mall staff. Walked up car ramps to car park from outside but could not leave as payment must be made inside the mall which open at 10am. There are also no security personnel at mall to help us. "Our state was very nice. No problems. Just to be aware that this is not the touristy part of town. With no offense meant, we were the only white couple. We saw the whole time in this area. Everyone was smiling and friendly. No problem whatsoever with the locals they were very welcoming!"

"Great place with nice rooms and beautiful view (both to Mt Kinabalu and Kota Kinabalu). Standard Malaysian breakfast and decent lunch and dinner menu. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room (104) was very good although there are a few ants around (so make sure not to leave food around). Bed, shower and toilet were nice and clean. Internet worked quite well (not guaranteed in this area). Our best place in Sabah so far (out of 6 good hotels)."

"We were a group of nature lovers who were using this as a three night stay to get used to the temperature and time change upon arrival in Borneo. Loved the grounds and snorkeling right from the beach. Fantastic nature center staffed by several biologists. The food options were a bit pricey but we were expecting that. The grounds were very birdy and we found two Borean Pit Vipers. The mangrove tour was fantastic. Room is very good quality for the price."
