Supremely relaxing location

Lovely property. Beautiful garden and pool. Perfectly enclosed for a dog. Quiet, peaceful location. Helpful friendly host, easy check-in. A very enjoyable week.

We had the most wonderful week at Aline and Max’s gite. The photographs do not do the place justice; it is a really beautiful house and the grounds are so pretty, with hydrangeas in bloom and views of the chateau’s outbuildings. The swimming pool is fabulous, we all loved spending time in the pool and on the loungers in the walled garden. The children in our party loved building dens in the bamboo forest too. We enjoyed many evenings cooking a bbq and eating at the large table in the shade of the bamboo. The large kitchen provided everything we needed. The bedrooms were beautifully decorated in a typically French style and provided ample space for 12. The bathrooms were very nice too. We really appreciated the downstairs en-suite bedroom for my parents. Walks down to the river from the gite were lovely and provided many wildlife-spotting opportunities. The area around the gite is great too- so close to supermarkets and pretty towns and villages. We will be returning for sure! Many thanks to Aline for her hospitality.

Le Rêve !!!

Endroit incroyable dans les bois, maison chaleureuse et spacieuse. Un vrai havre de paix pour nos retrouvailles en famille en pleine nature avec des jolis chants d'oiseaux et un hibou qui prend le relais. Site chargé d'histoire et magnifiquement restauré. Nous remercions à nouveau Aline et Max pour leur accueil chaleureux, leur gentillesse leur disponibilité. Je reste admirative de leur passion et de leur labeur à redonner vie et à entretenir ce lieu exceptionnel qui une offre une occasion unique de se ressourcer dans un cadre verdoyant avec tout le confort.

Lovely break

We had a fantastic week and Aline was very friendly and accomodating. The house was perfect for our family and the kids loved the pool which is all enclosed for safety. The house had plenty of room for large groups like ours and the supermarket was 5 mins drive up the road which was really handy. There is a great patisere in the local town well worth a visit for some lovely fresh cakes.

Cottage in the middle of nature

We had a lovely stay with Aline in her very pretty cottage. There was a lot of room for everyone both inside and out. It was glorious weather so the garden and pool were ideal to relax in and the cottage was cool. We went for several walks in the woods when the weather was a little cooler so it was great to have it on our doorstep. We mostly liked the visits in the garden from the wild rabbits, the red squirrels and the woodpecker, not to mention the owls and bats at night time. Very peaceful break and having the Intermarche very close by was another bonus! Many thanks for a lovely stay with a lovely host!

What a wonderful trip!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Aline’s beautiful property. The photos don’t even do justice to the gorgeous house and grounds that suited our 2 families (including 5 children!) perfectly. The surrounding area is idyllic and a supermarket is very close by which made things very easy. Aline was a wonderful host and even went out of her way to help me when I needed to arrange a doctor apt for my little girl while we were there. We very much look forward to returning.

Havre de paix

Séjour de retrouvailles familiales de rêve dans un gite de caractère spacieux , coquet et confortable. Pour les amoureux de nature vous serez conquis. Prestations de qualité, bon rapport qualité/prix. Madame Aline De Pibrac ( propriétaire) est une hôte accueillante, réactive , discrète et arrangeante. Un seule bémol, le passage d un train qui passe de temps en temps à proximité ( non noté dans le descriptif) ce qui ne nous a pas vraiment dérangé, d ailleurs nous avons omis d' échanger à ce sujet avec la propriétaire. C est avec plaisir que nous séjournerions à nouveau dans ce gite. Merci Madame de Pibrac pour avoir mis à notre disposition cette belle demeure.

A fabulous fortnight

Our annual family holiday is a special occasion. It’s also a bit of a risk spending two weeks in a place that you’ve never visited. Our tick list has evolved over the years, with our priorities now being an enclosed garden for the dogs, ground floor accommodation for the parents and a swimming pool. This property ticks all the boxes and much more. Aline was a wonderful host from the outset. Communication before we arrived was easy and our questions were answered. During our stay Aline was on hand if we needed her, otherwise she allowed us to keep ourselves to ourselves. The house is beautiful, typically French with the usual fixtures and fittings you would expect. We had a couple of criticisms, one that there were only two toilets for the whole property. The other that there wasn’t enough comfy seating in the lounge. That aside it suited us perfectly and we actually spent most of our time outdoors anyway. The garden is huge and ideal for two dogs that need exercise. The pool and surrounding area is stunning, a real bonus. The property is set in the grounds of a chateau, idyllic. We certainly loved the location and would recommend it if you are looking for peace and quiet. In the day you could hear the peacocks whilst at night the owls came alive. There is a lovely little town just a couple of miles away, with the supermarket very close by. We enjoyed exploring other local towns and villages by car and bicycle. Thank you Aline for a lovely stay!

Fijn huis

Gastvrije ontvangst door de vriendelijke eigenaresse het is een groot huis wat wel zo prettig is met 8 personen. De woonkeuken is heel ruim en qua inventaris ontbreekt er niets, enig minpuntje...de kastdeuren boven de ooven waren niet zo schoon die plakte. Slaapkamers zijn prima en ook de badkamers. Tuin is enorm groot echt heerlijk voor kinderen en hond. Zwembad is eveneens groot en heel fijn! Helaas was het weer niet helemaal wat we gehoopt hadden en hebben we er daardoor niet dagelijks van kunnen genieten. Al met al een comfortabel huis in een mooie omgeving.

Magnifique séjour

La maison est magnifique, propre, avec tous comfort. On a passé un excellent séjour. La piscine ainsi que le parc ont fait qu'on a pas trop bougé de la maison, mais les petits villages aux alentours sont aussi très beaux.

Peaceful perfect stay

Such a beautiful property in a lovely location with everything we needed for a brilliant stay with family and friends. We had a relaxing week enjoying the pool, garden, woods and local area our young children really loved it. Aline was very helpful we adults were able to relax even with a 3 year old, 1 year old twins and an 18month old around!

Un magnifique week-end

Nous nous sommes retrouvés entre amis dans ce havre de paix. Tout d'abord, la maison est magnifique, encore mieux que sur les photos, la décoration est faite avec goût. C'est très grand, tant à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur. C'est très calme, et reposant. La propriétaire est adorable, et disponible. Le samedi apm, nous sommes partis directement du château pour faire du canoë, c'était une activité surprise pour le groupe, vraiment un super moment. Et le dimanche matin, nous sommes allés faire une brocante. Je recommande chaleureusement ce gîte. Pour ma part, nous aurons surement l'occasion d'y emmener nos enfants ! Merci à Aline.

Tres bon accueil dans ce site au milieu des bois. Beau temps donc nous avons mangé matin midi et soir dehors ! Superbe piscine pour enfants et adultes.
