White Family

Great location, close to a beach but affordable, non beach front price. Lovely surrounding yard. Room for several cars off street. Great space for a large family plus extra bed options. Spa was very nice. Great view and Mike is very attentive and kind.

Truly enjoyable in every way

Mike greeted us and showed us the simple ins and outs of the property. The house immediately exceeded our expectations. We have 6 kiddos. All quickly found a special space. Our dog and younger boys LOVED the fully fenced in huge back yard. The fire place porch was so warm and surrounded by an incredible and dynamic view. We love the home from top to bottom. Everything we needed from tons of towels to a variety of coffee choices along with little extras like books and puzzles were close and hand. We all enjoyed the indoor spa/pool/hot tub room that led out to the beautiful back yard covered porch perfect for the rainier days. A beach was with in walking distance. Our favorite Whidbey Island grocery store was less than 5 minutes away. And the many adventures we had touring the island made for a perfect Spring Break week. We help to return in the future. This was truly a home away from home.

Beautiful home, view, and grounds on Whidbey Island!

This gorgeous house sits on a plot of land overlooking Useless Bay, it is so picturesque. The house was stocked with all of the home essentials (cookware, appliances, entertainment, games). There's also a grocery store just a couple minute drive away. The spa was huge and loved that it was indoors, so we could enjoy it out of the rain. The grounds are stunning, the relaxing coy pond with huge coy was a highlight to sit next to. The grass lawn was well maintained and our 2 dogs enjoyed running around so much. Each room was spacious, had comfortable beds/bedding, extra pillows/comforters, and all the toiletries you could need. Mike was a wonderful host and very communicative. We got to meet briefly on arrival. We definitely recommend staying at his beautiful home.

Perfect House for a Happy Get-Together

We're college friends from all over the country who have gotten together every September for 20+ years -- pretty amazing since we graduated in 1965! This house, everyone said, was the Perfect House for us. We also rented the guesthouse for our group. The layout, the incredibly well-stocked kitchen far above average, the patience of the host who answered every question, the generosity of the host who went far beyond the extra mile to make sure all was well. The location is excellent for hiking and beach access right near the house, and is in easy driving distance to all you want to do in Whidbey, from picking up groceries minutes away to the galleries, shopping and eateries in the villages of Langley and Coupeville, to must-see beaches and hikes like Ebey's Landing. We even had wonderful weather mid-September. Highly recommended.

Great for a family vacation

We spent four wonderful days here with our family of five and our small dog. The property is beautifully maintained and offers plenty of sleeping options, so everyone had their own bedroom. The fully fence in garden was perfect to let the dog run around without worry. The kids had a blast on the lower level, enjoying the foosball table, spa pool, and movie nights together. The main family room and kitchen are perfect for gathering, and preparing large meals was a breeze. There's a well-stocked grocery store just 3-4 miles away, making it easy to get anything you need. Even on the rainy days, the property was spacious enough with plenty of activities to keep us from feeling cooped up. The owner was fantastic, providing clear communication and ensuring we had everything we needed, including plenty of towels and toiletries. Of all the VRBO vacation homes we've stayed in, this one stands out as one of the best overall experiences we've had. We would stay here again.

Whidbey Island getaway

We had a great stay! The house was clean, the kitchen was well stocked and we really appreciated the extra touches like flowers and bottle of wine upon our arrival. We actually forgot our phone charger so the host graciously supplied one for us. When he dropped it off he also included story books for our kiddos! The swimspa was a big hit with our kids, we’d definitely stay again!

Presidents Day Weekend

We stayed here for an extended weekend. The house was really nice, spacious and super clean. Communication with the owner was really great and there were a lot of nice/thoughtful things they did that we don’t regularly see. When we arrive there was a bouquet of fresh flowers, snacks, bottled water, abundant variety of coffees, a bottle of wine and a bundle of wood for the outdoor fire place left for us. The Spa/hot tub was also really awesome; the weather was cold, so not having to walk outside to get in was a huge perk!

Perfect family vacation

My wife and our 8 & 13 y/o daughters spent 5 days celebrating the adoption of our 13 y/o daughter from foster care. It was everything we wanted, relaxing and fun in a beautiful home with a wonderful setting. Kids loved the swim spa; adults loved the sauna. Movies were watched, games played, naps taken. When we reached out with questions the host was very responsive and highly accommodating. Highly recommended; we will be back.

Best trip ever

This house is amazing and the owners are so thoughtful. They set up a Christmas tree for us, so many treats they left, kitchen was stocked well, tons of towels and shampoos and body washes. Hot tub and pool fun. We used the outdoor fire which was great. Thank you for making this a great trip.

Home away from home!

This place is amazing! The owners have some many things in the home that make it feel truly like a home. It was relaxing, beautiful, clean and so comfortable. The fresh cut flowers, farm fresh eggs, and overall homey nature of this place made it a heaven on earth. We will definitely be staying here again in the future and bringing more family with us.

Great place for a weekend get away.

This house is amazing and the host is even better. Spent the weekend here with friends and really enjoyed it. The house is large and well appointed. The host went out of their way to make us feel at home. I would definitely stay here again.

Breathtaking Views, Solitude, Nature and Comfort!

As a family of three generations, we had a fabulous stay. There was something for everyone. We have a lot of experience renting vacation properties, and found this to be one of our favorites. If you like natural beauty, you will be delighted by the access to the beach, hiking trails nearby, and the gorgeous views of snow-capped mountains, the Sound, the tide going in and out. The property itself is gorgeous--we loved the horses next door, the flowers, the fish pond, the vineyard. It was a feast for the senses in the best way. The house is very comfortable and has a ton of space to spread out in. Everything is in good working order, carpets are fresh, paint is fresh, it's all well-done. Having young children, this house was ideal in that it did not have fancy knick-knacks everywhere that we would be concerned about our children breaking--such as marble book ends or glass decorations on tables. The pool and hot tub were a huge treat. Loved this amenity! Also, great coffee shops, groceries, restaurants only four minutes away--ferry only 12 minutes away. Finally, owner was AMAZING in remote communication. Every question and need was met with graciousness and generosity. Fabulous hospitality. Also, the welcome treats and gifts were very appreciated.

Spectacular view

This home is exactly as pictured and provided our family with a much-appreciated quiet respite. Its kitchen is particularly well stocked, with plenty of plates and glassware. The home wa very well cleaned and there were lots of towels and extra blankets. The host is an excellent communicator and kindly left us some fruit and wine as a welcome gift. The AC works well and we all slept well in the comfy beds. Note that one of the four bedrooms is an internal room only, meaning that it has no windows. In the open space downstairs there is a single child's bed and a futon couch, as well as an available pack and play and air mattress. The grounds are quite lovely and the deck is very relaxing to sit out on. Plus, there's an excellent grocery store just a few minutes down the road. We quite enjoyed our stay and would be very happy to return.

Relaxing Stay

Our family enjoyed great weather and a relaxing time at this beautiful property. The owner responded quickly to all questions and was on property when we arrived. He provided snacks, wine and coffee. Location is convenient to Maxwelton Beach, Useless Bay and Langley.

Million Dollar Home!

Want to feel like a million dollars? This is it! The list of amazing things to say about this place is endless. Quiet, beautiful property, lots of privacy, gorgeous views, close to everything, spacious, etc. My son loved the swim spa, hot tub, and foosball table while the adults enjoyed lounging on the balcony with drinks in their hands. I would be back in a heartbeat considering how close it is to Seattle. Do bring your own groceries before crossing over the water, the store prices here can be pretty high.
