Loved our stay at this lovely rustic, yet modern, A-frame home. Perfect size, cozy wood burning fire, excellent kitchen and bathroom. Just the right amount of everything, and a grill and games to play! Will stay again! Thank you! Celebrated a birthday weekend here...

We stayed here for one night (Christmas) as a getaway from the city. It was a cute enough little cabin but I was under the impression it was more remote. I could’ve thrown a leaf and hit the nearest neighbor’s house, and the other two houses weren’t much further away. If you want secluded, or a walk in the woods, this isn’t it. The cabin was relatively clean when we arrived but the heat had not been turned on, and it was frigid! There were space heaters in the living room, a small space heater in the upstairs bedroom, and a baseboard in the downstairs bedroom. It was a little tricky to figure them all out and get it right. The house did heat up quickly, though. Our main issue with the place was that the downstairs “bedroom” was probably a converted laundry room (super tiny) and the bunk beds should only be slept on by children. My 70 year-old parents joined us, and didn’t feel comfortable climbing the stairs to the loft so they took the bunkbeds. They were so miserable! Their hips hurt from the thin mattresses, and my mother ended up coming out to the living room to sleep on the slightly more comfortable loveseat. Neither got more than a few hours sleep. For such a “cozy” cabin, there wasn’t a single piece of furniture that you’d want to curl up in. Overall, it wasn’t the getaway we were hoping for, and had a pretty high price tag for what it offered.

My mom and I stayed for Thanksgiving night. We arrived about 30 mins early and the host was kind enough to allow access. Good thing since we both needed the restroom after a long drive to get there. Thank you!!! We both brought our dogs, played games, ate Beechers Mac n Cheese, drank wine and stayed comfortably warm with the wood fire. Such a cute place, well equipped and easy to find.

Beautiful property close to everything but far enough to feel at rest. Hosts reached out to make sure everything was set and it was. We come to the island often and will definitely be back here. The style and layout are perfect for a night of relaxation.

So peacefully set among beautiful huge trees. Although in a neighborhood, it feels nicely secluded. Incredibly well-stocked, more thoughtful and better than anywhere else I've stayed, for example, loose teas, coffee with grinder, dog bowls, firewood and kindling, great books, games, and puzzles, shampoos and soaps. beds and bedding were very comfortable. Lovely to sit on big front deck and read. Downstairs bathroom has spacious shower with waterfall showerhead. I'd love to stay longer. The "kids" (grown-ups, but still kids) and dog enjoyed it.

Such an awesome place, we felt very privileged and blessed to have stayed in such an incredible home. We were so excited in the lead up to staying in this beautiful and spectacular accommodation. It was everything that we had imagined and so much more. The A-Frame was so unique and totally amazing, such a wonderful experience. It was so beautiful and an absolute gem, tucked away in a stunningly beautiful and quintessential island. It was an absolute highlight of our holiday, a very peaceful retreat. Thank you so much for letting us share a little slice of your beautiful hidden haven. We loved it. BIG Thank you to the host, Kirsten for all their hospitality, Kirsten included so many lovely touches, the attention to detail was phenomenal. We felt very welcomed and very much at home by all the thought and love that had put into making our stay as lovely as possible. Kirsten was the perfect host, checking that we were OK and was always there to help if we needed any help or assistance with anything. We thoroughly enjoyed our cosy fires and exploring such a pretty island. Kirsten provided plenty of literature of suggested places to visit and was really helpful when we messaged for any recommendations. It was with an extremely heavy heart that we left the accommodation at the end of our stay, we had the best time and would definitely come back again to stay…next time for longer! Thank you once again for your hospitality, it’s been the perfect holiday. Jill Xx

The cabin is adorable and and very private. You relax the minute you walk in. The wood burning stove helps create a peaceful atmosphere. We will definitely return. The owner of the property was amazing to work with. She is very responsive and a joy to work with!!!!

My boyfriend and I found this unique space a PERFECT abode for us! It was incredibly well kept, spacious and had a sweet outdoor area to enjoy the local wildlife. We had the good fortune to see two deer and many boisterous birds from the comfort of the front porch. Such a cozy, welcoming home. Thank you so much for the wonderful space!

Very cute a-frame in pleasant neighborhood, home is totally private as it is surrounded by beautiful trees and shrubs. Home is very clean and well organized, lots of amenities and I loved that there was no tv though the boys grumbled a little at first (they ended the trip saying it was nice to not have the tv)! Super quick drive to Maxwelton beach. Host is very attentive and kind. Would highly recommend this property if you’re staying on Whidby!

Very cute and cozy place to stay. The neighborhood was quiet and the cabin is tucked away. We felt like we were in the woods. The place is decorated very nicely. We spent every night playing games and sitting by the wood burning stove. We would definitely recommend this place, and hope to come back again.

We absolutely loved this stay! Such a cozy place, beautiful trees in front giving us a feel of privacy. We had a few meals in & were close to everything to get some meals out. Our host Kirstin, was the best!!
