Great long weekend stay for a large group of friends
We had a wonderful time spending a long weekend at the Malibu House. A couple of things to note:
- Make sure to receive the check-in process and save it to your phone prior to arriving. We did not have great cell phone service at the house so we had to leave the house to get reception in order to receive check-in instructions.
- The in-house audio was not working while we were there which was a bummer, but the manager of the property said they were working on it.
- The screen on the door of the screened-in porch was missing which was another bummer when we wanted to spend time outside without the bugs.
- We could not get the theater to work while we were there, but it ended up not being a problem because there were so many other things to do at the house including a bonfire in the back, swimming in the indoor pool, and playing outdoor games in the large, beautiful backyard.
- We were able to see the northern lights and it was nothing short of spectacular. The lack of light pollution at the house provides incredible viewing of the stars at night.
- We hired Chef Colin of Chef on the Run and he was FANTASTIC. We can not say enough about him. He was professional, on-time, and made DELICIOUS food for us even with short notice leading up to the event. Do yourself a favor and hire him for your weekend at the Malibu House.
- The setup of the house features a bathroom for every bedroom which worked out great for our group.
- We would definitely return to the Malibu house!
