We loved this house. It was cozy and eclectic, and perfect for our group of nine—we all had plenty of space to spread out. We took walks through the woods, spent full days on the lake fishing and relaxing, and just enjoyed being there. The host had everything you could need, from plastic bags and trash bags to laundry detergent and dryer sheets. The kitchen was well stocked with spices, plus plenty of pots, pans, and utensils. If we had questions, the host responded quickly.We also hiked Mount Yonah, which is just a 5-minute drive to the trailhead, and the views at the top (you can even see the house) were amazing. We’ll definitely be back to this area of Georgia.

Our stay in Helen was absolutely wonderful.The house was incredibly spacious and comfortablyaccommodated all 13 of us without ever feeling crowded. The layout was ideal for a large family gathering, giving everyone room to relax while still feeling connected.

Check in was easy. Great location to the trails and Helen. The hot tub was awesome. I used it several nights to relax after enjoying the nearby hiking trails. The house was very welcoming and the game room was used every night. Our 2 year old niece used the outdoor played every day. It was a great stay. Would stay at this location again.

Our little heaven on earthWe were a group of 74 teenage boys and three adult adults enjoying the for holiday. Everything was immaculate. We have one little hiccup with the hot tub and the air pump to pump up the bicycle tires. We contacted the host and they sent a repairman to fix it immediately I was so impressed. They even pumped up the wheels on my wheelchair for me. Everything was clean and spacious and oh so many things to do the kids loved having their own detached playroom with all of the pool tables and chess games and ping-pong and such my 17-year-old grandson and I were sitting on the back porch and I sneezed and he laughed, and he said grandma your sneezes echoed throughout the whole area such a thrill to see the night lights in the sky. You know the natural ones that God created. We will definitely be back again thank you so much for your hospitality and all the beautiful surroundings

Perfect location!!!! So close to Helen to enjoy the Helen Christmas Festivities, and still secluded in the beautiful mountains. The house is everything I hoped it would be when bringing the family in from 3 different states. We had small busy children with us and the playground was a huge hit. This house is a 10 out of 10. We'll be back.

The “ rental “ feels like a home. We had everything we could ever want for a few days and more. The beds were so comfortable. The house was super clean. We appreciate not having to buy spices to cook. Love how you can spread out in two different sitting rooms. My 83 year old dad said he couldn’t imagine a better place for our family to have stayed as we said goodbye to a beloved family member. The views from the house are amazing. The privacy … amazing. Beautiful birds, deer, and even caught a couple of fish ( returned them to their homes ). This house is a family house. It was perfect for our family. The house is easy to get to and was centrally located to all of our destinations. If we could give more than 5 stars, we would. We would have loved to have our grands, as the property is kid friendly, sadly circumstances didn’t allow. Thank you! We would love to visit again!

We loved how interesting Cameron House Retreat is! Something interesting to look at, read, play and enjoy at every turn! Owners and manager attentive although we had no issues at all. The “how to” manual answered all of our questions. We enjoyed outings to Helen, Cleveland and Sautee. Hope to come back again.

Staying at Cameron House Retreat for our annual birthday trip with our twin 13-year-old boys and our family friends was an absolutely wonderful experience in every way. The house was so well kept and furnished with every conceivable amenity that it seemed the owners lived there full time and had just left to allow us to stay. Because Helen has so many options for dining, we only cooked one night but had everything we needed. The children enjoyed the hot tub, fishing in the lake, and playing all the games in the game room. There was only one issue, and it is only worth mentioning because the owner had it addressed immediately and came the very next morning to ensure everything was handled. We can’t wait to go back!!!! We love Cameron House Retreat!!!

Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. We had a wonderful time. The reason I gave you four stars for cleanliness, when we got there on Friday we noticed there was quite a bit of green mildew, mold on the front porch railing and we had to clean that up along with the chairs on the front porch. Thank you for cleaning the hot tub for us during our visit as the children really enjoyed that. We do wish there might’ve been curtains on the windows in the bedroom that block the sun so that we didn’t have to get up at 6 when the sun came up. It also would’ve had been nice to have hangers available. Those are just minor things and we truly want to thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. Thanks also for providing the sticks for tubing. Pam

Papa's Fish & Kids Getaway!!!

Papa's Fish & Kids getaway was also a pre surgery getaway. Papa' will have surgery soon and will be hanging up his pole (hopefully only for a short time!). The Cameron House Retreat was our respite. From the lake to the front lawn, the sweet sound of the grandchildren laughing and playing. To the occasional deer and plentiful lightning bugs, and the afternoon walks. What more could you ask for to recall upon when we are deep in our thoughts. Photos are wonderful, but they can't capture the smell of French Toast and coffee in the beautifully appointed downstairs. The whimsical upstairs children's rooms are a dream come true, and even the adults enjoyed their afternoon naps in their own spacious rooms. Mimi's favorite room was the downstairs library. It called me like a long-lost friend, my friend, time. The booking went smoothly, even though we added an extra night after our initial booking. The owners of the Cameron House even went out of their way when something was left behind. It's hard to trust what you see on the internet sometimes, but I can say with complete certainty, Cameron House Retreat is more than just a VRBO listing. It's a feeling of home and most importantly family. Mimi & Papa'

Great mountain stay!

Plenty of room for 6 adults and 6 kids to stay while playing in a baseball tournament at Yonah Preserve. Hot tub was great for the kids and adults. Beautiful walk down to the pond and great mountain views from the back porch! Robert and Debbi were VERY good about checking in to make sure everything was ok. Extremely accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. Would definitely stay here again!

Family weekend in Helen

The Cameron House was great. The house was larger than expected and provided plenty of room for all our family members. The host was great in responding and made sure we had everything we needed. The house is also in a very good location close to Helen and many other attractions. We had a great time. Will stay again!!

Precious family time

We gathered to celebrate a daughter's significant decade birthday. "Surprise" guests for her included a favorite aunt from Ohio and Marine son stationed near Baltimore. We cooked (too) good meals, played games. Our fishermen were delighted to fish the small lake in the boat. Such a lovely home in a great location....seemingly in the middle of nowhere in the mountains but a short drive to grocery store, Mt Yonah hiking, wineries. It doesn't get any better.

Bachelor trip paradise

My fiancé and a group of about 10 of his friends stayed here for a long weekend to celebrate his bachelor trip. They had the best time!!!! He said the house was immaculate with plenty of room for everyone. The game room and pond was such a nice addition. Easy check in and great communication with the owner. Thank you so much!!!

What a great house for our large group. Plenty of room to spread out, great location, beautiful view, GREAT game room, and thoughtful touches. Great for children. It's the total package. We really enjoyed our stay. Robert & Debbi were great hosts & very responsive. We'll be back! :-)

Amazing home.

I must start off and say that the pics of this home do not do it justice. This house is amazing and my family loved it. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out when the weather kept us inside and a great gameroom. The lake was great (although i would trim the willow tree at the dock) and we really wished we had the weather to take better advantage of the property. The home is very convenient to Helen and the surrounding areas, everything we wanted to see was no more then 15 minutes away.

Work Wellness Retreat

Property location is very zen. Calm, relaxing, peaceful, yet close to Helen, GA and other activities. Game room is great! Pool, ping pong, air hockey, poker, and other board games. Property owner and property managers are easily accessible and responsive.
