Overall, it was very nice and pleasant place to stay. For the owner or the management's information, i'd like to say a few things for next guests. This place would become even more a pleasant and want-to-return place. 1. Fireplace wasn't working (or maybe we couldn't figure out how to operate?)2. Towels saved in the cabinet had strong odor.3. Jacuzzi buble didn't work (or maybe we couldn't find how to operate?)4. It would be very kind if sound system operation instructions were provided inside the facility5. 2 doors to the backyard couldn't be locked from inside. It might be a safe place. But we were a little bit worried at night.6. A bathtub in the second floor was clogged very badly. It was unpleasant showering in that tub. 7. Only 2 small packs of dishwasher detergent were provided. They were not enough for 2 nights stay. 8. Blankets were not cleanly stored in the closet. We were afraid of using them.9. The futon bed in the game room is badly dirty and spotty. Huge yellow spots made us concern about its sanity. We couldn'd use the bed, but used the floor. Your guest

The interior of the house was very clean and comfortable and roomy but the exterior had not been cleaned in some time - pine needles and tree droppings all over the driveway and back patio furniture. There was no outdoor lighting along the driveway so it was really hazardous trying to get to the house after dark (we were at an event close by). FYI, the downstairs toilet ran constantly, and the shower in the primary would not easily turn off via the keypad, which appears to be inoperable. The shower/tub in the upper bedroom does not drain properly. These items were mentioned in previous reviews, so we called to make sure they were remedied and were assured that they were, but in fact were not.

House was spacious but very poorly maintained! Upstairs bathtub had no water pressure making it unusable. Downstairs powder room toilet continually ran 24 hrs. per day. Many lightbulbs were out throughout the house; one lamp had no bulb at all. The hot tub cover is in major disrepair the floating cover was tossed to the side of the concrete (been there awhile).Four out of seven nights we heard rodents in the wall behind headboard in the master bedroom. Keeping us awake. Found a hole going into the wall outside where they were coming in from.This home needs a lot of maintenance to become anything close to a five-star rating. We expected better quality for money.

We enjoyed staying at this house, big house, nice hot tub and steam room, we missed some instructions like ( how to turn on heating outside, how to turn on fireplace and so on ) will be nice to have it , although was a good experience. Thank you

Pine Straw Retreat

I was a bit concerned about my choice of housing after reading reviews of this property. There was no reason for concern. Everything about the house was wonderful! The house, itself, is simply gorgeous, the design and materials are all top notch. Although the home is expansive, it still had a cozy feeling, due to lovely, comfortable furnishings and the rusticity of the natural wood and tasteful muted colors. We were a group of senior women enjoying an annual college get-together. We’ve rented and stayed in many wonderful homes over the years, and this home went straight into our list of “favorites”. The fabulous hot tub was hot and clean and ready for us, and we spent many happy hours around the fire pit, celebrating our good fortune in finding such a lovely site. [Shhhh. There’s a secret room with the double bed that you’ll never find, until you give that book case on the staircase a gentle push. Seriously! So much fun. Don’t tell!] The kitchen is an absolute dream and includes every cooking tool, dishware, flatware, etc. On top of that, the home is generously, well furnished with extra towels, pool towels, games, movies, spaces for gathering and spaces for escaping. The home was impeccable. There WILL be pine needles! I can’t imagine how they could keep the property clear of them, as they fall like….. well…..pine needles. Lots of good walking area. We enjoy staying in a different special place from year to year, but many in the group suggested that we return next year.

No effort into making guests comfortable

The house is large and beautiful but it is clear the cleaning company isn’t doing their job. The floors were filthy throughout the house. I communicated this with the property manager asap to make them aware. The house can accommodate many, with an excellent layout but with the absolute worst beds, sheets and pillows. The master bedroom headboard had white stains- pics were sent to the property manager. Other furniture in the master was also stained. The towels were minimal and low quality. We ended up finding more in the laundry room. The bathrooms did not have hand soap. Overall the home is beautiful with An amazing layout but I feel no effort was made into making this comfortable for guests and I’m disappointed that for the amount of money we spent we got terrible quality beds, sheets, towels, dirty floors, dirty refrigerator and no hand soap. Won’t be renting here again.

Even better than the photos! (Just NO local property management)

We had a family reunion here, and it was absolutely MAGICAL! The photos are great, but the reality is even better. Even with 12 of us, there was always room in the kitchen, comfortable clusters of group and individual activities throughout the house, and excellent sleeping arrangements. The pots/pans/dishes/cooking utensils are VERY well stocked-best I've ever seen. My only complaint is that the front and backyards were not swept up, and clearly had not been swept up in a long time, so we had to sweep all the cushions and pine needles before we could even use the yard. I was NEVER able to get ahold of any help, when I asked if I could delay my checkout an hour to make up for the hour lost spent cleaning. I texted with the Vacasa property management 3 - 4 times a day every day, and they always responded promptly, telling me that they had submitted a request to "Local Staff" but "Local Staff" never materialized, even after I checked out. The remote property manager had no visibility if there was a guest staying after me, and was unable to reach anyone local and was unable to resolve my issue. In the end, there was never any resolution to the cleanliness issue.

Great Experience

This was everything we needed. The set up was beautiful and spacious, so everyone had a space to relax. The hot tub was amazing and the master shower. Spacious, clean, and fully stocked. We would definitely rebook.

Inaccuracies in listing and amenities misleading

Several of the amenities listed were not maintained or in proper working condition. We found the hot tub to be only partially filled. The "double bed" in the listing was just a mattress folded up on the floor of a closet. The whole house has an audio system but there are no directions left by owners/management on how to operate it. Overall for the price you end up paying to stay here you might want to look elsewhere in Suncadia. You can certainly get more bang for your buck at a different rental. Beautiful home but far too many problems or deviations from what was listed.
