Wonderful Stay!

We had such a great time in Clayton, GA celebrating 4 family birthdays. The cottage was perfect size for our family of 5. The rest of our family stayed up the street which was super convenient. We had a great time rafting, tubing, horseback riding, wine tasting shopping and eating in GA and NC! The cottage was clean, cozy and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!

Great cabin up on the mountain but close to everything! Golf, downtown, lake rabun and Burton. Derek was excellent and we will be back. 10/10 stay

Great stay

Beautiful home, very well designed. Appreciate that the kitchen was well equipped with essential cooking utensils. Would recommend bringing basics like salt, sugar etc but location was peaceful and a great escape from the city!

So much nicer than description !!

The property is beautiful! Definitely decorated professionally. The furniture is very sturdy and comfortable. You will find everything to make your stay very memorable. The views are breath taking. We hope to return next year.

Nice 3 bdr and 2 bath home in the mountains next to Clayton. Clean, easy access to town and a well stocked kitchen. Minor issues with the internet but otherwise it's 5 stars.

Christmas Getaway

Property is as described, great location for everything. Only thing to knock is garbage, we had to take to the recycling center, being from out of town maybe clear directions would be better. The cabin/house is clean and cozy. Everything you need is already there. Maybe for the ladies, a blind in master bathroom, but that is being a bit picky. Absolutely loved the place, will stay again and would recommend to anyone interested.

Classy Clayton Home w/ Views

House came as advertised, was clean and comfortable and would recommend to others. Great central location for quick drive into town, hiking and wineries. Notes: - Someone else mentioned this, but the road leading up to the house is pretty steep and takes a little getting used to, but wasn't a big deal for us. - We did walk into town for dinner one evening (to Fortify Kitchen & Bar). It takes about 20 min and is mostly safe although there are a couple of short stretches with limited area to walk on the side of the road.

We really enjoyed our time at this home perfect location close to amenities and secluded enough for some peace and quiet. Our favorite part was The sunroom with all sliding doors that could open with screens. It felt as if we were in a tree house with many windows. House is located at the end of the street with enough privacy. The decor was super cute. Plenty of outdoor seating. Special touches were the tic tock wooden game board, swings and room with bunk bed that had a tv with CD’s for kids. Parking right by the front door was easy for unloading. It’s a short distance to parks, river, waterfalls , Tiger ( drive inn) and beautiful country roads to Helen,Ga

Nice, with a few quirks

The location is convenient to downtown, but because it is so close to the the highway, it is also very noisy. The property is very nice, and it is spacious. The beds were very comfortable. However, the deck was very dirty, looked like it had not been swept off or the furniture wiped down for weeks. Also we could not get either shower to work, so had to take baths. Check-in was a little tricky because the door’s keypad was not working. There was quite a bit of food in the refrigerator and freezer. I don’t know if it was from a previous renter, or the owner, but we did not use any of it. Overall we enjoyed our time in Clayton, just some of the issues listed above were a little irritating.

Great place but no internet service.

Internet was not functional. Owners seemed great and tried to help but it was an internet company delay. If you need internet I would not recommend this place. I recommend the owners fixing the issue with Starlink as their is not a lot to choose from in Clayton.

The cabin is very nice. The inside was clean, but the deck and areas around the cabin not so much. The outside is covered in spider webs. The deck looked as if it hadn't been blown in weeks. Yes, leaves were fallen, but the leaves on the deck had been there for some time. We didn't use the deck at all because of the spider webs. One would think that the owner would spray for insects and spiders. Hopefully, after this review they will consider doing it. Another suggestion is to provide dish towels. We didn't use hardly any plates, utensils or glasses, so we didn't need to use the dishwasher. It would have been nice to have had a dish cloth. The cabin is located very close to downtown. The road to the cabin is very narrow. Thankfully, we didn't meet any cars going up or down. I don't know what we would have done if we had met someone, especially in the hairpin turn. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the beds were extremely comfortable.

Nice place, but trash policy should be changed

As a guest, should not be expected to take trash to a dump site a few miles away when you leave. I have stayed at several rented homes and cabins in the same area and never once was told to take trash to the local dump. Host charges for cleaning, but the guest is required to do way to many things that should be done by the fee the host charges for a cleaning crew to come in after the stay. This hosts requirements are a great example of why less people are renting vacation rentals and going back to hotels.
