Beautiful location with superb views. Immaculate property. Would visit again. No AC in one of the bedrooms. Unable to check in late but this is pretty standard in many countries where you need to meet with an agent of the owner.

A Truly Unforgettable Stay in Costa RicaWe had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful house. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The place is incredibly well maintained, with a fantastic cleaning team, and everything you could possibly need for cooking is available.The climate is very pleasant. Even though it can get warm outside, the house itself stays at a comfortable temperature thanks to the fans — we didn’t even need to use the air conditioning, which says a lot.One of the highlights was the breathtaking nature all around us: monkeys, stunning sunsets, and the peaceful surroundings — simply a dream.We did go through a difficult moment during our stay, as my wife became seriously ill with pneumonia. Fortunately, there is a small public hospital just 15 minutes away. Despite its size, it has everything needed — and it truly made the difference. We are incredibly grateful, as it helped save her life.We also want to express our deep appreciation to the host, Miss Dee, and Philipp, who was always there for us, when we needed something. They were incredibly caring and checked in on us regularly — their support meant a lot during that time.Despite this challenging experience, this house was truly a place of comfort and safety for us. We can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a special and memorable stay in Costa Rica.Pascal & Sibylla

Wonderful week! We saw many animals around the property such as monkeys, toucans, green parrots, lizards and much more! The place had an amazing view and the pool was perfect to sit by and swim on the humid days. We would definitely come back! Phillippe was very helpful and kind. Great communication and feedback on anything we needed. 10/10!!

Absolutely breathtaking!

This property was exactly as advertised, nested in the jungle with breathtaking views of the ocean. Every day was a new adventure. Miss Dee has really thought about everything you could possible need. The House Manager, Philippe, was awesome in giving us advice about daily excursion or just the local vibe, places to eat, etc. I would highly recommend.

Hidden gem

We had a very nice stay in this beautiful house. The location and view are world class. Best we’ve ever had. If you are looking for a peaceful stay with a lot of wildlife around you, this is the place. Also the house comes with all the amenities you can think of and had more equipment than our own house. Very good communication with the host and the local point of contact, Patrick. Felt really welcome.

Best VRBO yet!

We have stayed in several VRBOs over the years and have always had good luck. This house surpassed all of our expectations. The location is superb. We saw capuchin monkeys, toucans and other Costa Rican wildlife from our infinity pool looking out over the ocean. Philipe was a wonderful property manager. I highly recommend this home. We will definitely be back.

30 Day stay in CR

This is a fantastic property! This was our first time in Costa Rica and this Villa was a great homebase to explore the country. My wife and daughter enjoyed the property, and the pool was wonderful on the hot afternoons. I enjoyed the outdoor cooking area. Philippe (House Manager) was a tremendous help, a wealth of knowledge and took care of any of our needs. Thanks again my friend ! Amazing Experience!

This property was THE best place we have ever stayed before. The home is so beautiful. Watching the sunset every evening from the infinity pool was breathtaking. Seeing the monkeys and toucans right there daily plus watching the macaws and parakeets fly by each evening was so cool. I wanted to give my wife a fully relaxing time away from her stressful job and this was completely on point. Many beaches and nature trails to explore nearby (the one on the property was breathtaking on its own!), nearby roadside restaurants with amazing food, grocery stores near by...the list is endless. And to top it off the best property manager, Phillipe, to answer all our questions and help schedule the best tours. It was definitely very hard to leave. HIGHLY recommend!

amazing experience!

We are two parents with our two kids ages 19 and 21 and they each had a friend. The house worked perfectly for that kind of a group. We as parents had a ton of privacy with a master suite and our own patio. The shared space was massive and impressive and the view...it is completely amazing and breathtaking. The house had everything a cook could want and we loved dinners there. We went on a few day excursions to Corcovado National Park (from Uvita using Bahia Adventures) and snorkeling at Cano Island with Sierpe Outfitters). Both great but we can very highly recommend Simone from Sierpe Outfitters. She was tremendous and had a lot of local knowledge. Finally, our house manager, Phillipe, was gracious and kind and very attentive. He is an expert at making you feel right at home and his attention to detail is great. Overall, we loved this home and this country and can't wait to come back.

Great Experience

Very nice home, decor, furniture, beds, setting, etc. The pool and view are exceptional. We saw tucans and Monkeys around the house. Property is gated and the drive up from the main road isn't too bad. Would recommend staying here for sure. There are two things to be aware of and the first would be resolved I would assume sometime in the near future. First, internet was a hotspot that didn't work for us we needed internet connection to check in on work and personal matters. Host said this was a temporary issue for the time being. Second, there is no AC in the main living area only in the two rooms. Host said to keep back and front doors open for a breeze but we didn't feel comfortable with letting bugs in. Overall, for the price point, the beautiful house, pool and view it is a great deal to make great memories.

Wonderful villa in a fabulous location

We couldn't believe our luck that we'd picked this villa even knowing very little about the area. Both ended up being perfect for us. We loved all of the nearby adventures--recommended to us by House Manager Philipe, who is fantastic--and we also loved coming from those adventures to the villa to swim or just watch nature. Howler monkeys, whiteface monkeys, and toucans were all observable on the jungle side, which was truly thrilling to watch. And the couple of sunsets we observed from the beach side were incredible. I can't recommend this villa (and Philipe!) and this part of Costa Rica highly enough. We can't wait to come back!

Wildlife oasis

The property is absolutely beautiful. We saw monkeys on a daily basis passing through as well as countless macaws and toucans. The infinity edge pool was amazing. We had no difficulty reaching the property and the communication with the property manager was effortless.

Spectacular location and view

We had a wonderful but short stay at this seaside Villa in April 2023. There are spectacular beach vistas to enjoy as well as a fantastic garden view which is frequented by many different types of wildlife. 20th Anniversary Paradise

My husband and I celebrated our 20th Anniversary is Costa Rica! There are really no words to describe our stay in Ojochal! The house is AMAZING!! I seeked PEACE and PEACE IS what I found here!! Everything you need plus some was there to make you feel really at home. Philippe is such a beautiful soul. We met his beautiful family and he gave us ideas for restaurants and tours even booked some of our tours. This house and everyone involved in the process is Amazing! We will definitely be back! Paradise with a View

My husband and I stayed at this gorgeous house for a short three night stay. The house, property, pool, and view are amazing. The location of the house was perfect for us. You’re a short drive to nice beaches, waterfalls, and restaurants, but you also have a ton of privacy and can’t see any neighbors. Mike provided us with a bunch of great recommendations and was very helpful. We would 100% recommend this house and hope to be back again!
