Amazing place that was a pleasure to stay in. Very well equipped kitchen and amazing pool with a stunning view. Road up is a gravel track but was warned about this before and was fine to drive up. Excellent directions from the hosts.Thanks for a wonderful stay.

The house is great and very well équiped. The garden and the swimling pool are fabulous. If you are looking for a quiet place go for it! Reading a book under the figs and olive trees is Very relaxing. The instructions are very clear and the people looking after the house are discret and Nice. The children were very happy. We can see the hard work that has been done since 1990.

Quiet retreat

Three of us stayed at Vasciano 9 for two weeks. A wonderfully curated traditional tuscan farmhouse just the right size for our little group. The vision and execution of the gardens are exceptional. There are so many thoughtful spots to rest and enjoy. And, the pool, is soooooo nice after a day walking around the local towns. The owners have a complete set of notebooks introducing local businesses and necessities. A very special experience.

A lovely haven

Vasciano is a lovely haven and Hilary a thoughtful and responsive host. The house is charming and well-equipped. The garden is a real joy, mature and well-maintained - the photos do not do it justice - with banks of flowers, the pool set apart, table in different locations and a built-in barbecue. The situation is peaceful with some local views. Given the rural location, few journeys other than to the nearest village are less than half an hour; there are attractions in every direction, though staying put is also very appealing! Highly recommended for a family or small group.

Sehr schöner Ort

Ein liebevoll restauriertes und ausgestattetes Haus mit sehr gepflegten Gartenanlagen, zahlreichen schattigen Sitzplätzen und großem Pool. Dank der genauen Wegbeschreibung der Vermieter war es sehr gut zu finden. Ein sehr schöner Ort!

Beautiful, secluded stay in Umbria

We had a wonderful week - the sort of place you almost don't want to tell people about in case everyone discovers it! Beautiful garden, pool, views, well-equipped and spacious farmhouse which was ideal for our family. All communication was perfect and lots of helpful information in advance and at the house. Klassiek huis in de heuvels

Prima contact met eigenaren. Huis ligt op prachtige plek. De weg (rough road) naar het huis is echter heel slecht. Je zit daardoor ver van winkel/bakker etc.

Nice holiday

We traveled as a family of three and had a great stay. The villa is very well equipped and lovingly restored and has a beautiful well maintained garden. The Pool was fantastic. We had some small issues with insects around the pool, but the owner helped us to find some solutions quickly. We did some kovely trips to nearby historic villages. Great holiday.

Relax e natura

La casa è bellissima, la tenuta anche, la piscina eccezionale. Noi purtroppo siamo stati sfortunati con gli insetti, una invasione di tafani ha reso il nostro soggiorno poco piacevole, inoltre la strada per raggiungere la casa è accidentato. Consiglierei questa casa a chi cerca relax e vita a contatto con la natura in un ambiente rurale ed esclusivo!

Very pleasant place

We had a very good time in Vasciano. Good weather, neither too hot, nor too cold of course. Beautiful view, beautiful house and garden and swimming pool. Everything gathered and well organised to have rest and fun with our family. Thank you Hilary and Jack!

Total bliss

Fabulous garden! Swimmingpool with stunning view. Totally charming farmhouse. Very well equipped kitchen. Don’t let the drive of the last kilometer to the house scare you of: It is a steep climb on an uneven road (for a Dutch driver anyway), but totally worth it!

Home and garden of tranquility

Vasciano is an extraordinary home and garden, reflective of years of care and creation by Hillary and Jack. If it’s a relaxing stay you’re after in a secluded rural retreat offering a house of rustic comfort and character, set in a gem of a garden with pool, Vasciano is perfect. (Some grading of the access road would make it extra perfect!)

Best holiday home I've ever had.

The farmhouse is great, the rooms are well furnished and the kitchen is really well equipped. But the the best of all is the fantastic garden with the awesome view. We enjoyed the stay and fell in love with the house, the garden , the peaceful atmosphere, the delecious food, the tasty regional wines and there friendly Umbrian people. We surely will come back.

Tranquil getaway in the Umbrian countryside

My family of 3 had an incredible week at this beautiful restored farmhouse. The pictures simply do not do it justice. I have traveled extensively and stayed at some beautiful places but the setting of this farmhouse could not have been lovelier. In addition, both the owner and the property manager were great to work with and very responsive, both prior to our stay as well as during our time there. If you just want a place to hang out and relax or looking to take day trips to the many beautiful villages and towns in the surrounding area, you will not be disappointed.

Ein wunderschönes altes Haus mit einem paradiesischem Garten

Wir haben uns in Vaciano 9 ungeheuer wohl gefühlt. Das Haus selbst hat alles und noch viel mehr, was man für einen perfekten Urlaub braucht, der wunderschöne Garten bietet für jede Tageszeit ein Plätzchen, an dem es sich wohl sein lässt, das große Schwimmbad sorgt für ein luxuriöses Gefühl und in etwa jeweils einer Stunde erreicht man all die vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten, die Nordumbrien zu bieten hat. Es ist einfach unglaublich, was Hilary und Jack Lance innerhalb von nahezu 30 Jahren aus einem verfallenen Bauernhaus und einer Brache gezaubert haben.
