"We stayed on a tent site and were so very happy with the accommodations. Our dogs were welcome and the host is very gracious. He is excellent at communicating as we were arriving very late on a Friday night and he did everything to ensure that our check in was smooth. "Perfect, we've stayed at the Mermaid House before and are already planning a trip or two for next year. Chris, the host is quick and easy to communicate with. House is well appointed, pretty much everything you need for a stay. The pool is my favorite, listening to nature, floating with a cocktail, you can't beat it. The tiki bar is also amazing! Plenty of room, house is kept spotless and has beautiful finishes inside. "

"We love this location and have stayed many times over the past five years. The house could use a little TLC, but the location is perfect. Also, the hydrilla can be an issue getting into the River. Thankfully, some fellas on the river cleared a path for us. The screened porch is fabulous as is the yard and dock. Don’t plan on grilling-various issues like no propane or the last users leaving it dirty have deterred us. We will continue to return. You should definitely go! I’m mentioning the issues...

"Very nice, comfortable set up for a small group or family. It was close to everything that we needed & wanted …including the city beach. Lots of water toys were available if you want to haul them out. We decided to rent for the kayak & tubing events, just easier. The communication with the host was quick & helpful. I highly recommend.
