This experience was doomed out the gate. First and foremost the booking agency, named Grand Welcome, double charged us for the stay. When contacting the rental company, they adamantly said that they did not charge my card twice, though I provided them proof from my bank that they did. I then had to go about asking my bank to cancel the double charge since Grand Welcome would not. After checking in the with Better Business Bureau, someone wrote a similar review and had this same thing happen to them.We finally got everything fixed and showed up at the rental based off the address given. My family and I went up to the door to check in and could not get into the rental. Turns out that the rental address provided to us was off by three digits and I needed to go down the street to go to the correct rental. The rental states, "Located in the welcoming neighborhood of Evanston..." This is not a welcoming neighborhood, every night I made sure there was nothing in my car and when I woke up in the morning had to make sure it wasn't gone, broken into, or on cinder blocks.The rental looks nice in the pictures but is clearly a quick flip cash grab. The floorboards under the carpet are questionable and there is definitely a spot on the second floor that there might be an actual hole at the top of the stairs. The oven scrapes the wall when you open it. The floors were filthy and showed black on our feet. There was more but I don't have enough characters to type them.Don't come here.
