Perfect Place and Location

The place had amazing views. We enjoyed spending time outside in the porch area and by the pool. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and unit was clean. We loved our daily visits from Penny and Tippy!

Paradise

Sailor’s rest was wonderful! Everything was just as described from the listing, but even better than we imagined. The property is located in a tranquil setting - beautiful views, peace and quiet. We were amazed at how relaxed we felt the entire time, able to sleep in without any noise waking us. The bed was so comfortable and we loved sitting on the patio- so many seating options. The grounds were beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed the pool! Our last day we were swimming when a small shower passed over leaving a double rainbow which was incredible. The location is perfect - it seemed centrally located to most things we did each day. We were pleasantly surprised to find not only a well stocked pay it forward bar and kitchen, but also numerous chairs, coolers, ice, water gear/equipment for our use. Alex and Jay were friendly and available as needed, yet we felt we had the entire pool deck to ourselves. We also loved visits from the lovely golden retriever Penny who has the best manners and spreads joy! We hope to visit St. Croix again and would not hesitate to stay at Sailor’s rest again.

Unbeatable view

Everything about this place was amazing from the central location to the comfortable furniture inside and out and especially the view. If there wasn’t so much to see on the island, you could easily spend your entire time on the terrace, at the pool and taking great walks in the gated neighborhood. So fantastic the owner would share this view of paradise with others. If you are wondering if you can hear the owners upstairs, you cannot. All you can hear is the ocean! A daily visit by Penny the dog brought added joy. She is so sweet! Don’t hesitate to stay here!

Outstanding!

This was by far the best property we have ever stayed in for any of our trips. It was spotlessly, clean, decorated very luxuriously and had a view to die for. The property owner was very good communicator and gave us privacy to enjoy our anniversary. If you are looking for an over the top experience, this is it!

Sailor's Rest is simply magical!

It's nearly impossible to describe perfection! When we arrived and saw the spectacular view, my husband and I both said, "Wow!" The pictures on VRBO of the view, the home and the pool are 100% accurate. The house was clean and tidy and the bed was top-notch. I'm certain we've found our "home-away-from home" and intend to return year after year. Alex was an excellent host and as an added bonus we had a sweet dog and two kitties that would occasionally come to visit!

Perfect Poolside Vacation Location

Sailor’s Rest was the perfect spot to sit by the pool with a drink and relax. It’s an easy drive to a grocery store and to town for dinner. Alex and her furry helpers were amazing hosts.

Spectacular Getaway

Just Amazing!

What a perfect spot to enjoy a relaxing vacation with an unforgettable view. So much to mention that we enjoyed but to narrow it down we loved the VIEW, pool, fully stocked kitchen, grill, and visits from Penny, Tippy, and Ira. We recommend stopping in at Blue's Backyard BBQ and The Landing Beach Bar. One of the few places in our travels where we would go back again. Thank you!

Perfect stay in St. Croix

We were so glad we chose Sailor’s Rest for our stay in St. Croix. The central location was great for accessing beaches and the different parts of the island. One of the best features was being in a gated community, knowing we were safe every day of our travels. The view was outstanding. Alex provided everything we could need for going to the beach and the property was very clean. We really enjoyed the pets that came and visited us. I would certainly recommend staying here and would love to return in the future.

Perfect Home Base for STX vacation

This property is perfect for a couple or small family visiting St Croix. We always rent a house on vacation and have stayed all over the island. I was a little hesitant to stay in a guests apartment as I didn’t want to feel like a was vacationing with strangers. It was a well appointed, comfortable quarters and private quarters. Our only visitor was Penny the friendly golden retriever and she was SO WELCOME to hang out with us. The bed was comfortable, the pool was warm and the view was stunning. Don’t hesitate to book this property.

Magical visit!

We were completely delighted with our visit to Sailors Rest. Alex was welcoming, thorough and responsive, the property could not have been more wonderful -- the view and the quiet/peacefulness were breathtaking, the rooms were comfortable, and the weather and persistent breeze were perfect. Can't wait to go back, and will definitely recommend to friends and family!

Perfect St Croix home

We love Sailor’s Rest! Alexandria is the perfect host, providing all the info we needed to make our stay great. She even offered to meet us at the airport, though with google maps, finding this home was so easy. The view was fantastic, the accommodations so comfortable and the location was ideal. Oh and the pool was delightful and partially shaded which I so appreciate. Our deck was also shaded but we could venture to the upper level if we preferred sunshine. Just 10 minutes to Christiansted, 15 minutes to Cane bay. Perfect! I will certainly return to sailors rest the next trip to at Croix!

On top of your private Caribbean world

This property has great reviews and that is another reason we booked, but it is special for different reasons, we think, and all is good. Some special reasons: the view, the pool, the gated entry, the easy to navigate roads, wonderfully appointed one or two bedroom bungalow (yes, had that Carribean Hollywood touch), the daily visit of furry friends (dog and cats) the super-nice and knowledgeable caretakers upstairs ( we want to meet Alex next time!) the array of sitting areas and close proximity to both sides of the island, and especially Christiansted without being right there. The nearby BBQ and fish places, Salt River area and Cane bay are also close by. We really stayed at the place much of the time because it was one of the better places we have stayed and we travel often. We are considering spending our 40th wedding anniversary at Sailor's Rest as she enjoyed her birthday on top of the world very much. Thank you, Alex and friends.

Lovely

Stayed 1 week at Sailors Rest for a little R&R. The apartment was very clean, comfortable & well equipped with the most amazing views. We really enjoyed the pool and outdoor living spaces. Alex was great with all communications which made the whole process a breeze!

Perfect!

We loved exploring St. Croix and this property was absolutely the perfect place to stay. We spent most mornings on a walk/ hike through the nature preserve. We enjoyed the view from our veranda so much that we cooked dinner several nights and ate outside. Alex was wonderful. We plan to return!!

Amazing view!

Judith's Fancy is a great place to stay being centrally located on the island. The view from Sailor's rest is amazing and very private. Alex our hostess was very accommodating with her home and we would recommend Sailor's Rest to anyone looking for a private getaway.

Amazing!

Alex's place is wonderful. From the moment we arrived we were wowed by the views. The patio is just incredible and we spent many days just relaxing there and by the pool. Alex was so nice and gave us complete privacy, but was available if we needed her. We loved the area and felt like we were in a perfect spot to explore the island. The BioBay is a must-do! The house was clean and we really appreciated having basic cooking supplies and condiments. We'll be back!

A Fantastic Slice of Paradise

Our stay at Alex's place in Judith's Fancy was fabulous. The accommodations were comfortable and clean, and you absolutely could not beat the view. We were delighted to find that the property sits right on a bioluminescent cove where we could see kayakers cruise through after dark. We loved the swim up bar in the pool where we swam under the stars. Overall, this was a trip we will remember forever as one of the best we have ever had.

Perfect Vacation

We had a fabulous visit at Sailor's Rest in Judith's Fancy last week! The views are exactly as shown in the listing and the inside of the apartment is the perfect size for two people. It was clean and well-kept, and Alex was awesome! We had one minor glitch with the internet TV, but she came and took care of it immediately. We also enjoyed having pets around, especially Penny! The location was convenient to both Christiansted and Fredericksted, and the roads in Judith's Fancy put most of the rest of the roads on the island to shame. We will be visiting again soon, and we can't recommend this property enough! If you are looking for a romantic getaway on a beautiful island, this is your place!

Wonderful stay!

Great location. Gated neighborhood. Views can’t be beat! Alex was an amazing host! We really enjoyed meeting our new four-legged friends, Penny and Tippy. Everything was as described. Loved the pool! Kitchen was fully stocked and so was the rest of the house. We would definitely stay here again!
