PROS: Communication with host was good, clear instructions for check in, parking, codes, etc. Big selling point is the water view and large private deck. Lots of windows to enjoy waves and boats. Location is in a quiet, safe neighborhood. A/C blows nice and cold and quickly cools the place down after a day at the beach.Condo manager, and everyone else we encountered, is very friendly. The family history as it relates to the condo is interesting, recommend reading Palace Politics. CONS: Time, salt air and sun have taken their toll on fixtures, appliances, mirrors, and finishes. Every metal surface has corrosion, including inside the fridge. When we first entered we noticed stale, rather than fresh, air. It was “clean”, but not freshly cleaned. Four days after we checked in we used the Swiffer in a closet. It’s not four days of dust that was picked up. After that we did a deep clean. Two hands and a firm stance are needed to open the sliding glass door.Only one beach chair so we bought another one and left it.Water leaks in the guest bath and primary bedroom from the ceiling, in the kitchen from a window. Fridge door doesn’t work right (with a note taped to the front, so obviously a known issue). The windows don’t function right - with strong winds you get howling.Lots of deferred maintenance around the property.Photos reflecting the current condition would be helpful.Water is not swimmable in Jan with steady 20mph, gusts 35-40. Too loud/windy to enjoy the deck.
