The couple who run the place are the nicest ever. We ordered a pizza delivered. The pizza place called the motel manager to say they wouldn’t be delivering it after all. The manager came to our room explained the this and then took me to pizza place to pick up my pizza. While we were out, he picked up some other guests from the grocery store and brought them back to the motel. Great guy!!!

Would highly recommend, good size rooms, bathroom was large, kitchen was great with breakfast bar for 4 people big fridge and 3 arms chairs was a delightful bonus, little porch with table and chairs. Bathroom had good supply of towels, face clothes etc. Bedroom even had a decent size wardrobe. Host were lovely and friendly. Our room was very clean. Pictures on website do not do this place justice.

Der Besitzer war sehr freundlich und höflich und ich hab mich gleich willkommen gefühlt. Das Motor Lodge war einer der saubersten in denen ich je war. Sehr schade das wir nur eine Nacht waren.

A lovely stay.
Not the most salubrious of locations but this was more than compensated for by the establishment itself which was excellent, and the care and attention taken by the owners. We would have no hesitation in staying here again, in fact, we wouldn't bother looking anywhere else. Lovely stay.

Peter and Tessa are exceptional hosts and elivated our stay. They done us multiple favors. Rooms are cozy with everything you need. Loved the beds. Couldn't be happier with our stay here and even extended it a few more nights.

Stay closed to Christchurch and near to airport. Very friendly and helpful couple run the place. Would recommend if you want to be near airport or city centre

A beautiful property close to the airport that has been meticulously restored and operated by a remarkable couple who pour their hearts into making ones stay memorable. Peter and Tessa share very high standards to ensure their hospitality is unparalleled and memorable. We were picked up from the airport and taken to pick up our motor home which was close by their property. They have shared their laundry facilities with us to wash a few clothes after a long trip. A very clean beautifully restored property operated by a very committed couple made our short visit a wonderful experience. Thank you Peter and Tessa! You guys are the best!
