Beautiful Cotswold Home

The home was exactly as described. It was more space than we needed for a family of 5. The garden was beautiful. The location was perfect-just a short walk into the very quaint town. The hosts responded quickly to any requests/questions that we had. Highly recommend.

A beautiful house situated a few minutes from chippen camden amenities, the house is spacious & well equipped. The hosts made our stay fluent with clear instructions. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay and can highly recommend.

Perfect Christmas

Twelve family members (9 adults, 3 small children) spent the entire Christmas week in this Chipping Campden home and it was perfect. Plenty of bedroom space, large kitchen and great gathering areas in both the dining and living rooms. Temperatures didn’t allow us to use the sunroom or back yard areas but we did use the BBQ for Christmas dinner and it worked very well. We walked into town many times and explored the surrounding areas both by car and on foot. The location was ideal. Barry was an excellent host and promptly followed up on every concern, the home was even decorated for Christmas, thank you. We spent a lot of time sitting in front of the fireplace and enjoying the cozy atmosphere. I can highly recommend this property for any length of stay. 5 stars!

A Lovely Stay in a Lovely Home

My friends and I couldn’t have been happier with our week this August. The home was very comfortable, well appointed, and full of thoughtful touches throughout. We loved the location, just a short, gorgeous walk through the field to the main part of town (and an equally gorgeous and only slightly longer walk if we chose to walk on the road) It was a perfect home base for our exploration of the Cotswolds, and we looked forward each night to coming back to this comfortable home. Barry was the perfect host - he and Penelope were very communicative and responsive to the few questions we had during the week. I do hope we return soon!

Clean, nice and roomy house, just one problem

This house was great in so many ways! It was very clean and roomy, it looked pretty much exactly like the online pictures (including the wonderful glassed sunroom), the kitchen appliances were updated, and the location was great - just a short walk to the heart of Chipping Campden. However, at the beginning of the stay, twice a substantial amount of water backed up from the downstairs shower room into the hall and onto the carpet. The water company, as well as the property manager, Lubo, were quick to come fix everything, but the moldy smell lingered for some days. Lubo was able to remove the smell eventually, but it was still an inconvenience for awhile. Other than that glitch, our stay was great.

Outstanding in every way

Our stay at Compton House was absolutely wonderful. The house was beautiful and spacious enough to accommodate 8 colleagues requiring their own beds, and also comfortable enough to feel like home. The location was perfect, 5 minutes walk to town. The garden was lovely [partridges visited often], and Barry was such a generous host - even providing a substantial welcome hamper that allowed us to settle in and not need to run straight out to shop. The home is lovely, Barry is lovely and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We'll be back!

A Truly Wonderful Home

We had the most excellent time in this beautiful house! The seven of us had everything we needed (& more!) to fully enjoy our time in Chipping Campden. It is short & picturesque walk to shopping & restaurants. I highly recommend this property!

Fantastic Find

The property was everything we hoped it would be. It was spotlessly clean, spacious, very well equipped and brilliantly located near to the village (walking distance). It felt like being in my own home. Being a runner it was wonderful to be near so many hills and it was so scenic. Also great for hikers. I would definitely stay at this property again, without hesitation.

Comfortable house in the Cotswolds.

This house is spacious, well appointed and very clean. There was plenty of space for 9 of us, with a large conservatory and lots of outdoor seating. The house is just a few minutes walk from the village shops, and well placed for visiting Cotswolds attractions.

Excellent family home away from home in Cotswolds

We were two cousins whose families were getting together after not seeing each other for many months due to lockdown restrictions and Compton House was the perfect venue. The house itself is well proportioned with plenty of space for 4 adults and 4 kids aged between 13 and 15. The proximity to the village have us a perfect base to explore the area

Lovely cottage in beautiful setting

Lovely cottage in beautiful setting. Well equipped with everything we needed and more and a thoughtful welcome hamper left for us upon arrival. Kids loved being able to walk through teh fields at the rear of the property into Chipping Campden village. Not much choice in village for eating out, but lots of nice little pubs. Friendlly locals and beautiful village overall.
