"Overall lovely stay staff very friendly efficient with prompt service. As a 4 star hotel a few things could be improved like a fridge in the room to keep the bottled water they provided cold, air conditioning but probably would be too expensive to fit due to the age of the building and paintwork here and there needed touching up. There was a problem checking in to the hotel as they asked us to pay again even though we had already paid. They said they would sort it on checkout but this could have...

"Great first stay at the Joiners Arms. We took our dog and they had a bed, ball, bowls and treats in our room. Sunday lunch was amazing as ever, service prompt, extra gravy not a problem. Couldn't fault breakfast, really impressive and the check-in/check-out was easy. Would highly recommend."

"Room was beautiful with amazing shower. It was lovely and warm despite temperatures outside! There were lots of helpful extras like bath robes, toiletries, tea, coffee and even shortbread! Breakfast was delicious and service was excellent. "

"Lovely room, lovely staff. The only thing was it was slightly chilly in the room as the window wouldn’t close properly as the cable was going out for the Christmas lights. However this was also not helped by the windy weather "

"Lovely character hotel in very peaceful surroundings. The staff were just lovely , friendly and chatty . Our room was in a good location and it was easy to get to the restaurant , bar and spa . The room was a good size and the towels were nice and soft, the hot water plentiful too. The only slight dent in the room was the condition of some of the fixtures and fittings . The carpet had quite a few stains on it , the shower settings were missing parts and the towel radiator missing coatings ....

"Wonderful hotel in such a picturesque town. Our suite room was amazing and views of castle fantastic. Food drinks and staff also fantastic, so intend to go back next year again for our anniversary. Thoroughly recommend this hotel for a great time away. "
