Such a gem

Right on the lake on a short private road this immaculate three story house has it all. Immaculate and well appointed. It has a kids loft that will thrill elementary school kids with its bean bags, train table, books and toys. Nice accessible first floor with a walk in shower. We loved our stay.

Great view!

Beautiful home! And the view was incredible! We could see the lake and a great shot of Mt. Lassen. The loft was filled with toys and games and kept our 2 and 3 year-olds very occupied. We took the kayaks out one day and had a blast! Definitely will plan another stay :)

The view is worth it!

The view from the living room/deck makes this place worth it. Looking at Mt. Lassen glowing with the first rays of the sun over Lake Almanor while drinking our morning coffee was just amazing. Great location, very easy access from Hwy 89, but we never really noticed any highway noise. Our only complaint was not so much the house but the description, the main bedrooms and baths are upstairs while the lower level is just the laundry room and the murphy bed/bathroom. Also you have go through the main bedroom to reach the loft which could be a little awkward in certain situations. None of this would have prevented us from enjoying this property and we would absolutely stay here again.

Great home

Lots of room for our family of 4 grown bodies. Easy to find, conveniently close to the hwy, clean, comfortable and stocked with everything you need. I always bring kitchen items with me and I didn’t need a single thing! They had a fully stocked kitchen with all necessary tools. Even plastic storage containers for left overs! I would just add that if you want to use the hideaway Murphy bed in the first bedroom, you will need to move the couch out of the way, which was light and easy to do. Would most definitely stay here again.

Traditional Lake Almanor Vacation

Our family began this annual tradition 31 years ago always going to Rocky Point Campground with many family members. My husband passed away last year… so this year we began a new tradition in the extension of our memories at our favorite place at Lake Almanor and rented a house. It did not disappoint. Lots of love , laughter and tears … even the damage of last years fire didn’t dampen our joy. As the spirit of the locals was so generous and giving. Blessed to try in a small way to support and give back to this special community and help keep them going. Beauty comes from the ashes… we saw it- first hand. Great place, great family, great time. We had Too Much Fun.

Wonderful home on the western shore of Lake Almanor -- close to the nearby resort areas, Lassen Park, the town of Chester, and great neighborhood amenities. The owners were very clear in all their communication, and the home was perfect for our extended family. The young children loved it as well as their parents and grandparents.

We had a great time at Lake Almanor West. Very comfortable place to stay with a beautiful view of the lake and Lassen. Good location, not too far from Chester. Though it was a hot week, it was cool indoors with AC unnecessary.

Great Getaway!

We had such a great time during our stay in June at this amazing cabin. The views are amazing and such a beautiful cabin. Our kids enjoyed swimming, playing cornhole, riding bikes down the private road, and swinging in our hammock that we brought. I highly recommend this property for a family vacation.

Beautiful location & great house!

This house is absolutely wonderful! The 5 of us (4 adults & a 17 year old) loved the location--so peaceful. We enjoyed ping-pong, kayaking, hiking, biking, corn hole, and pickleball. We also relaxed, read, and watched movies. The owners are very friendly and helpful with suggestions of what to see and do. We went to the Holiday Market a couple of times during our stay & were impressed with the variety of products. Koninkrijk Koffie in Chester has delicious pastries. Highly recommend this lovely home. :) Thanks Steve & Erin!

Fantastic

Came up with our family of five and had a blast playing in the snow. Perfect sledding hill just behind the house. Kids (ages 10 and under) really loved playing in and sleeping in the upstairs loft. Beautiful views out to the lake and mountains from the main room. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well-stocked. We hope to be back, maybe in the summer next time!

Very comfortable and welcoming!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Because of the terrible air quality from the fires, we stayed inside most of the time. Luckily, this house was perfect for that! Lots of places to read. Fun game room in the garage. Great kitchen to cook in. Etc. So, while it wasn't quite the vacation we had envisioned, it was quite rejuvenating and the home was very welcoming. We got a chance to really notice and enjoy the personal touches. It felt more like we were staying at a friend's home rather than a home designed to ve a vacation rental.
