Whether you're an avid angler seeking an escape, a remote worker in need of tranquility, or simply looking for a relaxing getaway with friends or family, this cabin is the perfect choice. Nestled in the charming community of Cherry Log, just a stone's throw away from downtown Blue Ridge, Ellijay, fishing spots, vineyards, and local attractions, it offers an ideal location. Dahlonega, which is 47 miles away, is definitely a must-visit as well.



    Start your days by savoring a cup of freshly brewed coffee on the covered front porch, taking in the picturesque surroundings. Spend your afternoons and evenings gathered around the stunning and huge flagstone firepit, adorned with ambient string lights, or engage in a friendly game of cornhole in the spacious yard. Additionally, a fully equipped gas grill on the porch awaits, ready to facilitate delightful summer cookouts.



    When you return from your day's adventures, unwind in the living room in front of the cozy fireplace, and indulge in streaming your favorite shows or movies on the 65-inch smart TV with YouTubeTV and other streaming services. There is a sound bar in the living room for the perfect movie-watching experience. The stainless steel full kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare delicious home-cooked meals, including extras like kids' dishware and cups and s’mores sticks. Both bedrooms feature their own 43-inch smart TVs for added convenience and entertainment. Moreover, every nightstand offers wireless phone chargers, and a charging station in the living room ensures your devices stay powered up. Other essential amenities include free WiFi that is perfect for remote work/study, a private washer/dryer, a cornhole game, and a Pack N' Play.

We were very impressed with our stay! The location was excellent - very close to all we planned to do. The actual cabin was lovely. It felt like home! The hosts left everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We would definitely stay here again!

Lovely Blue Ridge weekend

The house was very clean and well stocked. Beds were super comfy. It was a great location between Blue Ridge and Ellijay.

We had a wedding to attend in the area and this Cabin was the perfect spot to stay!! So cozy, very clean and welcoming. We enjoyed the fire pit and the quiet atmosphere. It was fully equipped with everything we needed, from a fully stocked kitchen (pots and pans, coffee maker, dishes) to corn hole and uno cards. Beautiful property and experience! Highly recommend. The final half mile up was a little narrow and steep at times. Great overall experience.

Great Family Retreat

This cabin in the woods was just what our family needed. The cabin and amenities are amazing. We absolutely love the design and simplicity of the cabin. Would love to have this as our house.

Perfect Getaway

We loved the peace and quiet of the location, cabin was very clean, nicely decorated, well stocked kitchen, bonus for the charging stations placed thur out the cabin, fire pit was a huge plus, gas grill is great, too! Look forward to our next visit!

Beautiful Mountain Cabin

It was absolutely lovely. Right in the middle of all the places in Blue Ridge Mtn we wanted to visit. Only issues not enough towels and hand towels. I highly recommended and look forward to staying again

Great cabin

This is our 3rd or 4th visit to this cabin. We have been visiting this areaa for many years and always stay in a cabin. We will return. Easy access, 2 or 4 wheel drive. Well stocked and clean.

LOVE this place!

Beautiful cabin, great location, cozy feel. We took the short drive up to the mountains for the weekend, just my husband, my pup and I, for a little quiet getaway and it was just what I needed! We spent the day shopping and drinking local beer and wine in Blue Ridge and relaxed by the firepit by night! Can’t wait to go back!

Perfect get away cabin!!

We celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary at Fishful Thinking and had the most relaxing time. From hanging out around the fire pit to cozied up on the couch, it was perfect! Cabin had everything thing you need.

Nice stay in North Georgia

We’ve stayed in a lot of cabins throughout the Smokies and north Georgia mountains and Fishful Thinking ranks with the best. Nicely situated and well stocked with thoughtful amenities, this is a sweet little cabin that is conveniently located and just the right size for a quick getaway. Highly recommended!
