I'm glad I had searched the property via Google Earth maps, because I knew it would look as like as far as the driveway being steep and narrow. Overall, the stay was perfect and I loved being able to wake up in the morning to hear the birds singing and the very subtle sound of the creek/river close by. The beds were comfortable and my daughter even said it was the best she had slept in a long time. If I were to add anything to the description it would be to note it is very secluded and not a touristic destination (unless someone wants to go to the casino), but it is close enough for an easy and beautiful ride to Gatlinburg. We would love to stay again!

Perfect for fishing the Ravens Fork

Made for a wonderful stay for a fishin trip. Great simple little place in a perfect location. Liked it so much I'd buy it if I could. Will definitely be back again.

Offline maps

Overall I was extremely happy about the location of the house. Well maintained and clean. Easy communication with the host. No fault to them if you are unfamiliar with the area, you definitely need a GPS with offline maps. I would still refer this to anyone I know.

Perfect Spot in Cherokee NC

Perfect sized home at the gateway to the Smokies. Basic, perfect home. Easy access. Plenty of nice towels and access to washer dryer. Love the rocking chairs outside outdoors and view of the River valley.

Other than house not as clean as expected lots of dust in corners . Which has nothing to do with anyone other than the cleaners just something I think needs to be addressed other than that. The house was amazing. We enjoyed our visit very much.

Weekend in the Smokies

We were in the area for a gymnastics meet. This rental fit our needs perfectly! It was comfortable, quiet, and well stocked. We enjoyed hiking, seeing elk, and a little R&R! Great communication with the property owner and listing was as descrives.

Great property and host. My first VRBO and they had everything spelled out nicely on printed sheets at the property. Location is close to downtown Cherokee. Quite a steep hill up to property, but leaves you with a great view!

Close to fishing and casino!

This was a really fun trip for my husband and I We were looking for a nice place to stay secluded but close enough to everything. Great fishing on a beautiful river right across the road! House was clean and beds were really comfortable.i would recommend!

Great location, beds and shower great. Only marginal comment is the porch was really covered with debris, freezer bottom needs cleaning and window sashes vacuumed. But close to town and the park. Saw an elk first day going into town.

Cute cabin

The cabin was perfect for 2 people or 2 adults with 2 kids. It was in a very quiet area but very close to the beautiful little town of Cherokee. The river was right across the rode. You could definitely hear it but there was no view. Maybe in the winter there could be a view when the trees are bare. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was nice. Jo was very responsive when we were having problems with the internet. There’s lots to do in the area.

Disappointing

You cannot see the river from this property if there are leaves on the trees. It is not “steps away”. It’s down a steep driveway, across the street and over a guardrail. The floor was dirty. I went barefoot for a little bit the first night, and the bottoms of my feet were black. The TVs are not smart TVs, so you can’t stream anything. You get basic TV with about 30 channels. The WiFi was out most of the weekend, unless you had Verizon, which had a weak signal, you couldn’t even receive text messages.
