We loved the cottage. We plan on coming again next year. Perfect location in the mountains. Beds are very comfortable. Flowers and hummingbirds everywhere outside in the yard. Beautiful.

Fontana Heights Cottage

Fabulous small cottage!! Beautiful views. Fasten your seatbelt for the drive to and from the cottage. Snakey road and vertical drop offs.

What a view!

We woke up every morning to enjoy the gorgeous sunrise over the mountains. We picked this cabin because of the stunning views from inside, and not just from a deck, which was harder to find in the area. Very well-equipped kitchen. Tiny quiet neighborhood well off of any main roads. Check the weather forecast for Fontana Dam before you go- the house is not fully winterized, and the furnace could not keep up when temps were sustaining below 35-40F

The PERFECT Escape!!

The precious yellow cottage & WHITE PICKET FENCE that I've dreamed of ...at the top of a mtn ❤️ I have n e v e r been a person to sit in the dark & wait in front of a picture window for the sun to rise.... until this escape! I actually RELAXED on this trip & my little 9 pound toy poodle LOVED the fact that Mama was 'chilled'. Then, I actually caught HER sitting there staring out the window like she was waiting for the sunrise the next couple days. The cottage was perfect on every way & the view was the icing on top!! The location was far enough away from town that you didn't just run out on a whim. But when you went out, the trip was an experience in itself being on the Moonshiner28. Cell phone signal was non-existent as explained ... but the WI-FI wkd perfectly & when I connected my cell phone to the wifi & did wifi calling... no problems... I had my cell phone at the cottage along w perfect internet!! I can't think of a thing that needed to be changed except I wish I'd booked more than 5 nights ;) Definitely hoping for a return trip!!

Quaint Cottage

Week in Paradise

This is one of the most beautiful little cottages. Then it gets blown away every morning by the lifting steam from the mountains as the sun rises. Pictures and reviews will never tell the whole story. This was our second time there and we will be sure to be back. Thank you for this little piece of heaven on earth.

Clean, adorable Mtn views Cottage

Super clean with a fantastic view. We love this area and this cottage was perfect. The flower pots, bird feeders and outdoor seating is awesome. Everything you need in the kitchen and charcoal grill for outdoor cooking. Furniture and beds were comfortable. The WiFi worked great the whole week.

Couldn’t be better

When we showed up we were in awe!!! This little place is beautiful. It had everything we needed. Perfect place to disconnect as there is no cell signal at all, wifi is very hit and miss which is nice because you can’t rely on it so you are truly disconnected. It’s a wonderful yet odd feeling. There was sat tv but that too was spotty. Again not a bad thing considering we were there to relax connect and recharge. This house has the best view on the mountain. Mornings were spectacular to wake up to. I will definitely be coming back. Thank you so much for making this wonderful home available to us.

Very cozy and nicely put together. I could tell right away there was a lot of time spent adding all the accessories and interior bits to add character to this wonderful home. Gorgeous view of the mountains every morning and evening. Truly a great place to stay and relax. Property owner was very nice and helpful which only added to the experience. My guests and I very very highly recommend this spot!
