The house was amazing. Beautiful views, the sauna and hot tub was refreshing. The kitchen has everything 12 women could need for cooking and entertainment. Gravel road is manageable but may be difficult to drive for some vehicles.

Gaylene was wonderful! I asked to leave Christmas decor up as this was our "Sibling Christmas" and it was! Host was very easy to communicate with and had quick responses! The property is Absolutely stunning!!!! I personally loved all the extra baby stuff as I have a 1 year old. Less I had to pack and bring with me. Completely stocked kitchen Above and Beyond Everything you could need and more! Plenty of room for all of us to gather together and do things on our own! Thank you

Awesome house for our family of 10. Teenagers enjoyed the game room and the theater. House is not convenient to run to the store so we came prepared and only left one day to head to Cherokee. Very relaxing time for all of us!!!

This house was great for our family Thanksgiving celebration! The amenities were top-notch and all were used, from the sauna, hot tub, fireplaces, movie room and games! I can also say that I have never stayed in a house that was so well stocked with everything you could need to prepare a family meal. So many applicances, pots, pans and dishware. The seating was comfortable and ample for our group. The only thing that keeps me from giving five stars is the cleanliness. There were dirty sheets in one bedroom downstairs and the bathroom floor down there was also not clean. It seems like it was overlooked by the cleaning crew and probably not a reflection of the owner’s standards but still affected the people staying in that part of the house. I would recommend staying here and think coming in the summer to try out the lake amenities will be next on our list!

A slice of heaven in the mountains! There's enough to do at the cabin that you'll want for nothing. We went out only to ride the train in Bryson City and spent the remainder of our time playing and relaxing at the cabin.

Pictures and reviews do not do justice for this property. The kitchen had more than enough dishes and utensils to use for our family feasting every meal. The rooms were accommodating and the bunk beds for the kids added memories to last a lifetime. There is so much to do that you will never have to worry about someone getting bored. We enjoyed boating, s'more’s by the fire, movies in surround sound, the hot tub, the sauna, and a little competitive corn hole tournament. Our family rated this property our best vacation destination yet!!! We would love to return.
First ever solo kayak trip.
Took less than 30 minutes to stand and make her way around the lake.
Very forgiving drop off into the lake.
The ladder made cannon balls a must.

Beautiful property! Clean and comfortable. So quiet and peaceful. Very secluded. So grateful owner corrected the WiFi issue before we arrived because as advertised there is no cell service away from the property for miles and miles. That took a little getting used to. Only suggestion for the owner is about so many instructions and security deposit warnings about the trash, grill, firewood usage - just gave us a little angst and was a wee bit unwelcoming. It is a great place but the owner is strict. Outdoor deck stairs were very slick after the rain - my adult son had a bad fall - but was only bruised. Also consider one nonstick pan for eggs! We ended up using the pancake griddle for our scrambled eggs! Fly fishing was challenging for my older husband due to the terrain.

Had a wonderful family vacation at this beautiful cabin located on Fontana Lake. This place has it all. Very family friendly. The host is prompt at replies and communicates well. The open concept on the main floor was awesome for our family. There are so many amenities and we enjoyed them all including the kayaks, hot tub, sauna, ping pong, pool and poker table. One of our favorite memories was spending time on the pontoon with our family. Breath taking views on the lake. So many memories made that we will carry with us forever.

I can’t say enough good things about this property. Everything you would ever need is there. I found nail polish remover which I forgot to pack and poison ivy cream if we needed it. The house is so beautiful and well stocked you never have to leave. Some rentals say accommodates 15that and only have 6 chairs. This house could sit 20 on the upstairs porch easily. Downstairs has these comfy “egg” chairs that are great for sitting with a good book. My family took advantage of almost everything that was available. Kayaks, paddle board, slide, hot tub, fire pit, theater room, and many games that were on the first floor. We rented the pontoon boat which was so much fun. Especially when my daughter fell in trying to dock the boat. It is not real close to anything, so driving 20 minutes to get groceries or a restaurant are normal. But we were happy to just sit and enjoy the house and the lake. We are Already thinking of coming back. The pictures don’t do it justice, you have to see for yourself. Gaylene did a fantastic job decorating and making sure you have a great relaxing vacation.

We can't say enough about staying at Gaylene's house. It's our second time back we love it so much. The kitchen is so well stocked which makes preparing big family meals a breeze. With labels on things, cleaning up the kitchen is hassle free. We enjoyed the lower deck this year on the egg swings during a rain storm. As usual, we enjoyed the boat, dock, kayaks, paddle board and hot tub. Thank you Gaylene for sharing your lovely house with us!

We had a wonderful stay at Fontana Passion. The lake access was excellent. The kids and adults alike enjoyed the beautiful porches, game room and theater room. Gaylene, the owner, has such great attention to detail and was so helpful along the way. She keeps her kitchen well stocked with anything you need for cooking.

I can't say enough wonderful things about this property. This house has everything you could want for an amazing week on Fontana Lake. Everything was spotless, beautifully furnished, and incredibly welcoming. The kitchen was fully equipped, the beds were very comfortable, and every room was inviting. We especially loved the outdoor space; it was private, peaceful, and perfect for morning coffee, afternoons on the lake and a relaxing evening. The host was very responsive, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed. If you're considering booking, don't hesitate, this property provides a great place to spend time with your family and friends. We already booked our next trip back!

Wonderful place for family vacation. House was clean, comfortable, very well stocked. Cabinets and drawers were clearly labeled saving search time. Lake was amazing; warm clear water, very little boat traffic. Abundant outdoor seating . Owner was quick to respond to questions and very gracious . Plenty of room for our large family to be together and also have their own space. Definitely recommend.

Great house with amazing lake views

Great remote lake house with all the amenities. Large kitchen that can accommodate big groups. Outdoor decks well maintained with plenty of seating and includes propane fire table. Sauna is very new and has great seating area. The walk to the dock is very easy and the dock is well maintained. Definitely recommend renting the pontoon boat and exploring around the extensive lake and inlets. Host was always quick to respond and enjoyable to work with.
