Horsefair Cottage is conveniently situated in a contiguous village adjoining Regency Cheltenham with only a 5 minute drive / 20 minute walk from centre of the town, and just 4.3km from Cheltenham’s famous race course. A bus service stops just outside the cottage offering a direct route into the town centre. A superb community location positioned only a short distance from award-winning 18th century pub/restaurant; The Royal.
The village offers a wealth of local facilities with a convenience store and post office, pharmacy, wine bar, two pubs, a bagel shop, boutique coffee shops and deli, a butchers, local supermarkets, an Indian and Italian restaurant, a fish & chip shop and chinese takeaways. The leafy village also offers a recreation and children’s playground and four churches.
The cottage is ideally located to allow visitors to take advantage of all that Cheltenham and the Cotswolds have to offer on your short break.
This Victorian larger than average cottage is filled with period features throughout, has off street parking for two cars with electric charger, four double bedrooms, lounge with feature fireplace and triple sash window, dining room overlooking patio garden, kitchen with ceramic hob, dishwasher, breakfast bar seating and two bathrooms with MIRA power electric showers.
There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The three bedrooms upstairs consist of a double, a small “queen” double, and a bunk bed, plus single bed, a bathroom with bath/power shower, and WC. The downstairs bedroom is a small “queen” double plus single, located next to a shower room plus WC.
The cottage is located on the one-way historic Horsefair Street in the village of Charlton Kings in Cheltenham which dates back to the Iron Age 1220 BC. Beautifully positioned opposite the grade ll listed Church of St Marys which is dated 1190 AD, the rectory of which belonged by a gift of Henry l.
Cheltenham is a Regency town in Gloucestershire, England, home to the renowned Cheltenham Festival, 4 days of horse jump racing culminating in the Gold Cup, held annually in March at Cheltenham Racecourse. It's well-known for its stunning Regency buildings, including the Pittville Pump Room, a remnant of Cheltenham’s past as a spa town. There's fine art at The Wilson museum, and the Victorian Everyman Theatre has an ornate auditorium.

By Air -Just 3.2km out of town is Gloucestershire Airport; one of the busiest general aviation airports in the country, offering private charter flights from locations around the UK and Europe. The international airports at Bristol and Birmingham are both little more than an hour away, while London Heathrow is only 2 hours away, with excellent connections via road, rail and coach services.
By Road - Cheltenham is served by two junctions on the M5 motorway, each within a mile of the town, making it easily accessible from all areas of the country and less than 2 hours from London and under an hour from Bristol and Birmingham. The A40 provides direct access to Oxford in under an hour, while the dualled A417 connects Cheltenham to the M4 and the South/South East.
By Bus - Cheltenham is well-served by national coach and bus connections, with several daily services to London, and frequent services to Birmingham, Bristol, Exeter, Cardiff, Manchester, Sheffield and Edinburgh.
Locally, the town has an excellent public transport network with regular buses across the town, including two Park & Ride services, along with routes into the neighbouring Cotswolds.
