Christmas family gathering
The best part about this property is the Oyster River view and open floorplan on the main level. Sadly, we were disappointed with communication with Vacasa. We had an issue accessing the keypad. We were told to use the lock box instead. When asked, why the keypad didn’t work response was “you don’t really want to spend your time trying to figure that out with me. Just enjoy your getaway” Further, we were dismayed at the poorly lit and dangerous entry to get down to the property. To make matters worse the stench from the decaying shellfish attached to boat dock right outside the front door was overpowering. Despite having unseasonably warm weather, we could not open a window. Once inside, we had to clean the table surfaces and pick up the dirty rugs in the bathrooms. As well, the furnishings were worn and stained. A cream colored blanket was thrown over the furniture to cover the thread bear cushions. The chair cushions were stained and should’ve been replaced long ago. The pictures showed a table with seating for six. We were hosting our family Christmas dinner here and there were chairs for five. We had to bring a chair from outside. Additionally, there was not flatware service for six. I had to purchase plasticware up the street. oven did not work/had an error message. Vacasa put us on long hold, disconnected; no call back. Bedrooms spacious, showed stained carpeting and pillows should be replaced immediately. It’s quite unfortunate since this home has great potential.

Great Chatham Experience
Great house within close distance to local shops and eateries. We enjoyed it! We only stayed for a weekend, but we enjoyed the views and quiet.

Great location!
I loved staying here! The views of the river were beautiful from so many rooms and I loved the sunlight coming in every morning. It was a comfortable place and I would definitely return.

Location was great but the house was less than desirable.
The location was great, but the house was less than desirable. There were constant bugs in the house and a musty odor. The furniture was old and extremely uncomfortable: the couch, dining room chairs, and beds made it extremely difficult to have a good night's sleep. There were stains on the carpets, bedroom comforters, sofa & ottoman. The Kitchen was old and dirty, and the walls were dirty.

Cute getaway place in serene location
Quiet and beautiful spot on Oyster River. Open first floor plan allows for sunlight and breeze. Great wraparound porch / deck. 5 minute drive to Hardings Beach. 10 minute drive to Downtown Chatham. What you see in the pictures is what you get. Some minor housekeeping items for management: 1. there is a private outdoor shower but it wasn't connect to water supply. 2. the shower handles in both indoor bathrooms were tricky and it took some time to figure out how to get the right temperature.

Unfit for human habitation
Reserved a 2-1/2 week stay. Left after one disgusting night. The furniture is filthy. The rugs are (assuming pet) stained. The house has the aroma of a kennel. The river view is nice.

Great place for a short getaway by the water. Amazing views!
Property is definitely "cottagie". It is no frills but clean and there is ample space for 6 (we were only 2). We could not figure out how to control the heat (it was early spring). The master bed is a full - could use at least a queen. Bedding is not great and pillows were terrible (bring your own). Shower adjustment is quirky. Overall, we would stay again - the view is great, the area is very peaceful and lends itself well for long walks to the harbor or beach

Wonderful Property
Communication with the property was rough, not going to lie. I had a service dog and additional questions that I reached out 2 weeks before our stay, but didn't get a response till 2 days after we checked out. With that said--the property is wonderful. We went before season so everything was quiet, but if you are noise sensitive I would avoid this property. This sits directly on top of the boathouse so during the summer I'm sure it's busy. The property is super clean, the sunrises are amazing, and we all had a wonderful time.

Great view, but...
The view of Oyster River is beautiful, but the owners are resting on their laurels a bit. First thing is the path to the house...actually dangerous; I am surprised that they were allowed to build the house without a safe entrance.. (After it rained one day, it was muddy.) Path is on a long slope and uneven..glad we didn't arrive at night..no lights and a distance to the front door. The slip covers on the sofa and love seat were stained as were some of the rugs ( you can always purchase an additional set of slip covers and change them for the next guests). The shower curtain liner was ripped, and the tub didn't drain well. And what you don't see in the photo is how close you are to the boat yard...right next door to it. And they were power washing the boats through the week, and one morning at 8:30 am. Nice guys, and they were only doing their job. We have rented many properties throughout the years, and we understand that things will not always be perfect, but there are things the owners can control: a safe pathway to the front door and the cleanliness of the property. The proximity to the boatyard was not an issue until they started power washing the boats! The view from the house is spectacular, so you can weigh your priorities based on that.

Lovely house with waterview
We had a great weekend at the house. It’s a bright, airy home with a gorgeous view of the water. It is right next to a boat yard which we didn’t mind, but might matter to others. We enjoyed seeing the boats come and go. Only other drawback is the parking is a bit tricky and it made it hard to load and unload the car. Otherwise the house was just perfect for us and I would recommend.

Vacation rental community
The house seems to be 100% rental use and it shows. There is mold and mildew, bathroom door does not close with paper thin walls. The location is nice for my one that wants to be above a marina. Overall, we would not go back to this place.

Not worth the money
The house had a nice view of the river but I don't think it was worth the money. First, the house is extremely hard to find. I had to call the company to ask where exactly it was located. When we asked 3 different neighbors where the house was located and no one knew (which I found very strange considering they all lived or rented literally right next door to the house) so no one was helpful. When we finally found the tiny green sign that said #20, we had to walk through a nonpaved tree path to get to the front door. Second, as we were unloading our truck, the welcoming committee showed up (A.K.A someone from the condo association) and told us we had to move our vehicle because we weren't parked in the correct spot (very rude). Third, it seemed as though everything that we touched fell apart. the first floor bathroom door had a bracket and hinge holding it closed but then that fell off so the door didn't close at all so we weren't able to use the bathroom very often. Overall, we were very disappointed.

A beautiful private feeling property!
We enjoyed our stay very much! Although there are many surrounding properties you feel very private. Everything is clean and updated, it's the perfect getaway close to everything :) There is no ac as described but the cool ocean breezes make it very comfortable. Looking forward to our next stay.

Disappointed
Chatham is a charming little town and nicely placed on the peninsula. This particular rental should not have been rented in the physical condition it was in. Lights didn't work. window shades were torn down in the bathrooms. The master bed makes so much noise when you move that we ended up moving into another bedroom on single beds. Trim was missing everywhere. Hall door for the washer/dryer was broken. The main floor toilet didn't work for the first 3 days of our visit. We were told all these problems were going to be addressed during the off season-so perhaps the home will be brought up to snuff. Other concern to be aware of is that it is right next to a working marina. Walking out your front door, you can have a conversation with their employees without shouting. They were quite noisy when we were there power washing boats. It didn't bother us as we were running around early every morning-but if you are looking for quiet time in the AM, that may be challenging. The view on Oyster River is nice.
