Très bon week-end, maison très grande et très bien equipee pour recevoir enfants et adultes. Toute commodites, grands espaces intérieurs et extérieurs. Hôte très réactif ! Seule bémol, la pièce cuisine est un peu sombre mais sinon les chambres spacieuses et confortables !

A fab holiday

We stayed as a group of 16 and had a fabulous week at La Grange. The kids loved the pool, the woods, the cinema room when it was cloudy, and the swing was a big hit. The adults loved the bbq and outdoor seating for dinner and sundowners. The kitchen was really well equipped. There was so much space and the play room / games room had toys and games for all ages. Communication was fab and they helped us with some recommendations of places to go as well. A fab week.

This was the first large family holiday we have done before and I can say the were no disappointments. The pool was awesome, the games room and pool table got so much use. The cinema was a great feature that the kids loved. Would definitely recommend A****

Beautiful Setting Lovely Converted Barn

We spent a very enjoyable week celebrating my wife’s 40th birthday. The barn is spacious with plenty of area for the kids to play and adults to relax. The bedrooms are large and all beds very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed plenty of good meals at the huge dinning table. The pool is great, although the weather was unseasonably cold when we stayed and the pool had an issue and did not reach temp until the day we left. The location is perfect if you want to get away from it all. And it’s a lovely short walk into the village. We were out of season so the river beach was not set up for use when we stayed.

Wonderful stay, beautiful house

What a such a wonderful week at La Grange de Chatelus! We were three families (six adults, eight children) and we stayed for a week during August. The house is stunning, huge rooms, comfortable beds, amazing ensuites to all the bedrooms, multiple washing machines, tumble dryers and even two dishwashers. The kids loved the swimming pool, cinema room and pool table. Richard and Sisca were great hosts, they quickly replied to our messages and the lady who checked us in was very helpful. We had a great afternoon by the river down the road, we hired a boat and canoes which was lots of fun! The house is quite remote with a drive to supermarkets and towns but this was perfect for us. Thanks for a brilliant stay!

Great outside space

Lovely peaceful location. Great pool and outside eating area. Cinema room was brilliant for the children, they loved the woods and the river beach and had a great time building a den and fishing. Kitchen well equipped and there were 2 big BBQ’s that we used nearly everyday. The hosts kept in touch to make sure everything was ok and we could contact them if needed.

Stay with friends in a very nice accommodation

We were with 3 families (6 adults and 8 children including two dogs) in the beautiful accommodation of Richard and Sisca. We liked it overall very much. The accommodation is spread over three levels, downstairs is the playroom for the kids with ping pong table, dart board, kicker, PlayStation and Nintendo Wi. Also the laundry room with two washing machines and dryers is on the lower level. On the middle level is the large living room with grand piano, pool table and sitting area, the frequently used cinema room with a lot of DVD's and also books. The videos can be played on a projector with sound system. This was especially our children very happy to use. The really large kitchen is very well equipped and offers plenty of space. There are two refrigerators, a separate freezer, two dishwashers, an ice machine so that it really lacks nothing. We really liked that that. From the kitchen you can go outside at ground level. In addition, there is another toilet and a large bedroom with bathroom on the middle level. On the upper level there are 5 bedrooms with bathroom. We all found the beds to be very good. Everyone always slept well. If many people are showering at the same time, the water pressure is a little low. The outdoor area is very spacious and well maintained. The pool is large. The neighbors are far away and it is absolutely quiet. Contact to Richard and Sisca was always very good.

Family and Friends Holiday

The property is in a real nice, quiet location. Most of the group stayed in and around the property all week and the children spent lots of time in the pool. Aside from a bit of miscommunicaitons on arrival it was ideal and we would look to book again in the future.

Séjour chaleureux en pleine nature

Grande "grange "jolie , confortable ( literie au top ) , bien équipée , grande cuisine et salon , correspond parfaitement au descriptif .Côté "anglais " apprécié !Les aménagements de jeux ( billard , table de ping pong , jeux très variés pour les enfants ) , la salle de home cinéma , ont été très appréciés les jours de pluie .Terrain de jeux , calme , environs agréables .Un peu difficile à chauffer en hiver malgré l'excellente qualité du bois fourni , les poeles sont un peu justes ; dans les chambres , radiateurs électriques OK .

Quality family time 6th~20th Aug 2022

Beautiful house and superb location for those of you that are in much need of a well earned rest. The facilities meant that the young ones had plenty to do whether it were watching films in the cinema room, playing pool, table tennis and the abundance of toys and games. Beautiful walks in the woods with our dog that we’re plentiful and all off road. Would definitely recommend

Lovely stay apart from the pool problems

Pros - The house is fantastic for a large group. It has a well equipped kitchen, great living room and lots of facilities - the pool table was much loved. The bedrooms are all comfortable, each their own en-suite. The BBQ was much used and there is a lovely outside seating area. Cons - the pool was not working for a number of days. The owner lives in the UK and does not have somebody monitoring the pool locally. Managing a pool from another country seems to be a recipe for disaster. Judging from the visitor book and some previous reviews this does not seem to have been the first time the pool has caused problems.

Beautiful Location for a Relaxing Break

This beautiful converted barn sits deep in the French countryside. It had everything we needed for a relaxing stay with the family. The heated swimming pool was the favourite with the children. The host was attentive and kept in touch to make sure everything was right. We visited Limoges and the Lakes and the local towns. Amazed at the lack of traffic on the roads. you could drive for miles without seeing another car. This was a perfect place for our family break. Can't think of any negatives, unless you are looking for some night life. We certainly were not.

Belle propriété, bien tenue, chambres agréables même si tous les matériels ne fonctionnaient pas. Cuisine très agréable et très bien équipée . Escaliers un peu difficiles. Des répétiteurs pour la boxe seraient indispensables. Piscine impeccable et bien chauffée. Les clients Français aimeraient un contact en français.

Nous avons reçu un accueil très chaleureux de Tréhane et Debbie qui se sont appliqués à nous parler en français et ont été disponibles et présents. Nous avons passé des moments merveilleux avec nos 4 enfants et leurs conjoints et nos 6 petits enfants de 9 mois à 7 ans et demi. Nous remercions également nos hôtes pour la jolie attention par le panier d'accueil et ses surprises. La "grange maison" de caractère est adaptée à tous les âges, avec de grands volumes permettant également des espaces d'intimité dans une décoration très "cosy so British". Le feu qui crépitait dans les cheminées a apporté une note chaude et familiale. Chaque chambre bénéficiant de sa salle de bain a été fort appréciée. La salle de jeux offre de nombreuses possibilités qui a fait le bonheur des petits et des grands, la table de ping pong et le baby foot, ainsi que le tableau de fléchettes ont fait la joie des sportifs. Dans le grand salon, certains se sont essayé au billard, tandis que d'autres ont joué de jolies mélodies sur le piano à queue. La salle de cinéma a également fait la joie de tous. le lieu est splendide, en cette semaine printanière les arbres étaient fleuris, le ciel bleu et l'air doux, nous ont permis de profiter de la piscine chauffée après un barbecue sous la tonnelle et un repos sur les transats. L'environnement arboré tout près des bois nous a permis de jolies balades à travers les sapins ou au bord de la rivière et d'entendre le brame du cerf et d'apercevoir un faisan. Tout ici est propice à la détente et au repos dans un cadre à l'écart et en pleine nature. Nous recommandons sans hésitation aucune ce lieu magnifique où nous espérons vivement pouvoir revenir.

Excellent séjour.

Mes amis et moi avons passé un excellent week-end. Les propriétaires Richard and Siska, sont très à l’écoute et d’une réel gentillesse. La grange est très grande, et le confort d’avoir une chambre qui a sa propre salle de bain, est parfait. La piscine chauffée fut un bonheur pour les enfants, comme pour les grands. Tous les jours mise à disposition sont aussi très agréable (billard, ping-pong etc…). Les lits sont très confortables. Bref, excellente location, si vous voulez être coupé de tout, pour vous ressourcer et passer du temps entre amis ou en famille. Thanks again Richard and Siska. ☺️
