Excellent property, clean and well-appointed. Walking distance to neighborhood and downtown restaurants. Off-street parking worked well for our van. Listing was accurate except Wi-Fi wasn’t available. I’m sure the owners would have worked to fix that had we notified them - but we didn’t want to disrupt our down time in the home to accommodate that.

It was better than the picture describe. Very accommodating with a fully stocked kitchen. A beautiful backyard that feels secluded even though you are in the city. The location is perfect and close to everything in the Belmont neighborhood.

Clean and comfortable

Charming. That's the word for this little house. Two very comfortable beds (separate bedrooms) for my friend and me. The big farmhouse dining table was perfect for a jigsaw and the front iving room was bright and airy. On top of all this, there was not a speck of dust anywhere...it was sparklingly clean.I'd book here again in an instant.

Fantastic Stay!

The Yellow House was such a lovely place to stay for a girls' weekend in Charlottesville! It's cute, clean, and comfortable, and close to restaurants! Location was perfect.

We LOVED it!

We were in C-ville for family time and sports camp. We absolutely loved the yellow house for our home base. Such a charming property. Big shared backyard. Super duper comfy beds and pillows. Walkable to the best dining and coffee shops. Close to the stunning Monticello trails. We can't wait to stay here again. Thank you!

Sweet cottage in C-Ville

We loved our stay at the cottage! It was a sweet, quiet neighborhood. We loved the walkability to several great restaurants and the town mall area. It’s only a 7 minute drive to Monticello. We were able to visit many wineries, all less than 30 minutes away. If it hadn’t rained during our stay, we definitely would have hiked at Shenandoah. Next time! Thanks for a lovely, clean, thoughtful vacation rental for our 10th wedding anniversary!

Weekend getaway

We had a very nice weekend stay. Bed was comfy and house was great. Close enough to walk to a lot of the places we wanted to see, so we could leave our car parked in the driveway. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

Conference with family

Perfect Family getaway

This was the perfect house for our family of four. We loved the cozy living room, screened in front porch, and comfy beds. We enjoyed walking to Belmont for coffee in the morning and for dinner and shopping in the evening. The restaurants were all delicious. It’s a quick drive to the downtown mall, but we also liked walking there. There’s lots of nice homey touches too, including plants, tons of books and a record player.

Excellent and peaceful stay

Long time Charlottesville residenrs back in town for a family funeral. The cottage was perfect, immaculate, and provided a degree of serenity at a difficult time. Will absolutely stay again.

Girl’s Weekend

Great location and very comfortable accommodations. We explored Charlottesville and the Wineries during the day and were able to walk to breakfast and dinner every day for fantastic meals. Can’t wait to return!!

Perfect stay especially with a toddler

This house was awesome. It’s in a great location in Belmont. It’s very easy to walk to a ton of good spots, and vineyards and hikes are a very short drive away. The house was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed to be totally comfortable. It also felt very safe for our toddler immediately, so that was a huge benefit. We could just let her roam freely without worrying. She really enjoyed it too.

Perfect Charlottesville spot!

This was the best spot for exploring Charlottesville! Close to everything, comfortable rooms and good working A/C. We had a baby and toddler with us and appreciated the extra things for kids like the books, bathroom stool, and swingset in the backyard. Would definitely stay again!

In the heart of C-ville

Perfect location in the heart of residential C-Ville. Charming historic cottage with modern updates - the perfect size for a small family (we stayed with our 6yo and he loved it - especially the super cool loft and backyard) or small group of friends. The owners (who live nextdoor and are super nice and accommodating) have thought of everything…and there were tons of nice little touches like eclectic record and book collections, kids games, and a great sound system.

Loved the Yellow House!

The Yellow House is in a great neighborhood with lots of nearby restaurants (Belle, Conmole, Tavola, The Local), easy walk to the Mall, and a short drive to trails and Monticello. It was also a cozy place to post up when the weather turned ugly! If you’re thinking about staying in C’ville, don’t hesitate to book here - we’ll certainly be back!

cozy quaint cottage in a great location!

This was our second stay here. Fabulous hosts, cozy light filled cottage, easy parking and easy access to UVA, restaurants, and activities in and around Charlottesville. Its an easy walk to the downtown mall and great restaurants in Belmont.

Yellow Cottage

We loved the house. It was very clean, well appointed, and close to everything. The beds were super comfortable. The only issue we had is that we are not familiar with the front door locking system and had trouble figuring out how to lock the door when we left. Perhaps an explanation in the check in/check out instructions could be included to help your technologically stunted guests.
