An amazing view, and a peaceful home

This home is bright and beautiful and just a short walk up the trail, is a clearing that has an amazing view that demands a little time and attention from your camera. Loved our stay!

UVA Family Weekend

It's close enough to get to all the UVA events, but remote so you feel like you're getting away. Place is very clean and well appointed.

Amazing view

Such a unique, amazing stay. We are so happy we found this property for an early Thanksgiving getaway in Charlottesville to visit our family. The kitchen was stocked with enough pots and pans and appliances that it was perfect for making a full Thanksgiving meal. We loved it!

Lovely Home in a Beautiful Setting

We loved our stay at Broadhead Mountain Retreat. The kitchen and baths are well stocked to ensure a comfortable, relaxing stay. The view from the mountaintop is amazing! Can't wait to go back.

Great Place!

We absolutely loved our stay! The rental was clean & the views were beautiful. The privacy was amazing and we had everything we needed. The driving directions were spot on, so definitely pay attention to them and not your gps! I would totally recommend staying here & we will probably stay again!

Great house with stunning views!

The house is beautifully designed. Wonderful kitchen, beautiful fireplace, and so many windows to take in the stunning views! We really enjoyed spending our time on the fantastic deck.

What a beautiful place! The interior is spotless clean and modern with great amenities. The view is so beautiful and the setting is quiet and peaceful. We loved sitting on the porch just taking it in. Thank you for a great stay!

Family vacation

This was our first VRBO stay and we were unsure what to expect. Everything was absolutely wonderful! Communication and information about check-in was easy, the property was clean and the location was gorgeous. We are a family of 5 and it was perfect for us!

Beautiful Views, Lovely Space

Wonderful retreat up on a mountaintop. Secluded, nice paths to walk around the mountain. A very nice spot. Spartan but that merely enhances the views you get from the main room. Would stay again.

Family Weekend at UVA

The views are amazing and we loved having time away together as a family. Cottage has all you might need, but a good idea to bring provisions since it takes longer to get to than you might expect.

Amazing experience

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Broadhead Mountain! The kitchen has everything you could possibly need! The house is surrounded on all sides by trees, with the closest house being at least a half mile away. If you are looking to get away from it all, this is the place to be. It was so quiet and peaceful. We would definitely go back again!

Secluded Retreat

Fantastic property for the location alone, sweeping views of the valley. It is not 15 minutes to Charlottesville, it’s 15 minutes down the road off the mountain to get to the road to Charlottesville, then another 15.

Family weekend while moving into UVA

The cabin was comfortable and clean. Unfortunately it was further out then we realized, so it did not allow easy access to UVA or restaurants etc. If you want a remote, quiet get away it is perfect. It was definitely a good 25 minutes to get into Charlottesville though and we nex

Great mother daughter getaway

We had the best weekend. My only concern is the road condition getting there. We got a flat tire from a rock on the hill and ended up stranded at the house. Thank goodness it was stocked with everything g we needed for a great day.

Lovely, peaceful, isolated

My family of three stayed at this property for the Thanksgiving weekend. The property is isolated—a cabin in the beautiful woods—but it was just what we wanted. We enjoyed walks up to the top of the mountain, with its amazing views. The kitchen is well-stocked—more pots, pans, and plates than many of these properties have. We also enjoyed fires in the fireplace. It is about 20 minutes to Charlottesville. It was perfect for us.
