House had not been used in quite awhile prior to our arrival. Yes, we were there off-season. Strong musky/mild smell as soon as you walked in. Had to buy at least 8 odor neutralizer to address the smell. Linens/towels were not freshly washed. Several guests experienced allergic reactions ranging from wheezing to watery/puffy eyes, running nose, congestion. Cable boxes missing -had to be installed next day. Over grown landscape addressed two days later. Cleaning lady showed two days later to only vacuum up bugs. Listing showed a garage but there wasn't one, was told I should have confirmed there was one. Parking is tight if you have more than 3 cars. Felt our concerns were dismissed when addressing the issues. House is big enough for a large family/gathering with plenty of rooms. Would have thought a partial refund should have been discussed/offered but wasn't.

House well stocked but needs maintenence

Our stay at the Wintergreen property had some challenges. Communication with the host was lacking—they didn’t respond to questions before or during the stay, which was frustrating. The house itself felt worn down: a window wouldn’t shut, some lights didn’t work, and the floors appeared unvacuumed.On the positive side, the house was very well stocked, which we truly appreciated. However, the driveway was extremely steep and difficult to navigate—both driving and parking felt unsafe. The listing should have described the driveway situation more clearly to help guests prepare.

Well stocked house and met our needs

The house is large with lots of group area. The kitchen is very well stocked and perfect for a large group. Many bedrooms and beds everyone in our group was very comfortable. Many lights either did not work or had burnt out light bulbs we arrived at night, so this made things a little difficult. Please be aware that the house is up a very steep hill. We had freezing rain at night, which turned the driveway into a sheet of ice. We purchased ice melt and shoveled the driveway ourselves to be able to get out of the house.

Amazing large house to accommodate a big group!

We had an amazing time staying at Wintergreen. Ashley was super easy to work with and the home was very accommodating! Everything was clean, spacious, with everything we needed. There was plenty of fire wood. We look forward to returning!

Girls trip

Property was nice. It was very nice having 2 refrigerators! Would have liked bath mats in the bathrooms. Floor is very slippery when wet. The parking and driveway was very deceiving. There were quite a few broken/ missing things. Lots of firewood stacked front and back of the house but no fire pit. But overall our stay was great!

Family reunion

Overall everything was great. The driveway is tough to navigate when you have 7+vehicles or Large trucks so parking and entering and exiting The driveway was a challenge. The Deck needs some TLC but we made it work as well as the cement blocks on the walk path below deck. House is Beautiful and spacious. We had 20 Family members stay and still had several beds empty so plenty of room. Kitchen is huge great for family meals! Having so many bathrooms in house was ecspecially nice for parents and grand parents. We had an Excellent stay and will return next year!

Nice Wintergreen Property

We had a nice getaway to wintergreen over the holidays. This property definitely seemed clean and well kept. The check in process was seamless. Communication was on point with Ashley during our stay. The online listing was very accurate for this property. The neighborhood seemed safe. This home isolated just a quarter of a mile to the main lodge so it's not far away from the action like a lot of homes at Wintergreen. We will definitely be returning to this one!!!

Great house especially for Wintergreen

This was a great stay for a home in Wintergreen. This is a pretty spacious spot with everything feeling clean and not too outdated for Wintergreen. When we arrived everything was impressively clean like it was likely just completed. Everyone had plenty of space in bedrooms and multiple living rooms allowed for everyone to spread out when necessary. It was nice how close this house is to the lodge in Wintergreen because being a large resort we have found that tricky. We were able to maneuver easily to the lodge and restaurants. Large table was nice for meals and our social games. Great weekend stay for sure.

College Reunion for 14 - stay was nice

We had 7 couples stay Nov 3 - 5. The house has seven bedrooms and there were plenty of prepared beds for everyone to have space. Overall, our group had a great stay. The house was clean but like some previous posts, we agreed it could use some freshening up. Steps and handrails that help avoid the steep driveway walk up were missing steps or handrails were loose. These are just wear and tear items that could be fixed both inside and outside the house. But overall, if you are having a large group get together for a Wintergreen stay or brewery tour (like us), this house is great. The kitchen table sat all 14 of us at one time. And plenty of other seating around the open areas. Overall, a decent value for a large group!

Wine and Beer hopping

We had a very nice stay in Wintergreen Resort for the fall. We especially loved the nearby wineries and breweries. Lots of great spots to enjoy the fall leaves with a drink or good food. The home was spacious enough for everyone to have comfortable sleeping spots and gathering spots. Everything seemed thoroughly clean and well thought out for guests. Great overall trip for everyone that came!

Nice house close to the lodge

Great house at Wintergreen. This one is very close to the Wintergreen Lodge so you didn’t have to drive through all the roads of wintergreen a distance to get to the restaurants or amenities. We had lots of space for sleeping and hanging. Everything appeared welcoming, clean, and tidy when we arrived. We will definitely be returning here! Lots of 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great location, but dirty.

Check in was amazing and Ashley was great to work with. However, when we arrived the house looked like it had not been cleaned. There were ping pong balls everywhere downstairs and dead bugs in every single bathroom in addition to mold on most of the shower curtains. The house was exactly as listed and was the perfect layout for our group. Overall great stay, but could use a really deep clean.

Family wedding stay

Our son got married 15 minutes away from the house and the house was a fantastic place for our family to stay for the weekend. We had 20 family members from age 3 to age 76 and the house was perfect for us all. The beds were so comfy - which is important when you are really tired after a long day of wedding partying.

Wintergreen Retreat

We had a great time at Wintergreen! The house had amazing views and plenty of space for our group. The only minor thing we noticed, was the downstairs bathroom could use a good clean, as the shower curtain was dirty. Other than that, the house was great! It is very close to the Mountain Inn and activities.
