An amazing lake vacation

I’ve been using VRBO for over a decade. We’ve had mostly good experiences with a couple of not so good. You never know how things will go until you arrive and stay. I’m happy to say that this property and this host is the best we have ever experienced. Literally everything was top notch. My family would like to back and next time, rent a boat as well.

Peaceful Getaway with lots of Extras!

We loved our stay on Kiser Island! It was peaceful, quiet and also well stocked! We enjoyed the large, clean grill, fire pit, and kayaks. The owners obviously take good care of the property and spend time there them selves. The kitchen ware was clean and of nice quality. I had everything I needed to prepare meals for my family! Don’t hesitate to rent! The master suite is truly amazing!

Wonderful experience

Our family stayed a long weekend at this house and it was one of the best experiences we’ve had. You don’t need to bring a thing, every detail is thought of. Location was perfect both on the lake and close to everything you could need nearby. Communication with the owner was above and beyond. We will definitely stay again.

4th of July - Relaxing and convenient

First and foremost - Tonya was very easy to communicate with. The location was very convenient for us being from Charleston. Large, open living spaces made it easy for everyone to watch movies at night. The pool room was a hit and you really can’t hear anyone playing when you’re in any of the bedrooms. I got sick the day we checked in and headed to the Novant Go Health about 10 mins away. Got the testing I needed and picked up a prescription on the corner. I was nice to have that close by when you’re OOT. The Sam’s Club was the best one I’ve been to; lots of stores around you are used to at home. Not remote like in the mountains sometimes. Plenty of cookware and the Weber grill is great! We took a small boat and it was easy to get in and out just down the road and we tied up right on the dock at the house. My son and his gf went by boat to eat at Toucans and it didn’t take long at all. Water temp was perfect and no turtles to worry about when swimming around the dock! Enjoyed the week! Thanks for sharing your home!

Another perfect stay at this beautiful home!

We love this home and keep coming back year after year. This is our 5th year staying at this beautiful home on Lake Norman and it’s just as pristine as our first stay. The home is gorgeous with a perfect view of Lake Norman. Tonya has thought of everything, all the way down to providing toothbrushes, toothpaste and sunscreen. Thanksgiving getaway

It was an amazing experience from start to finish. Easy communication with host. Beautiful home and surroundings. We used the week to visit nearby universities, Nascar teams and to relax for Thanksgiving. She was nice enough to tell me that there was no turkey roasting pan, so we packed our own. The weather was beautiful and the sunsets spectacular. We had visits when a young doe and buck daily. It was sad to leave and go back to reality

everything you could want !

Beautiful home on the lake. impeccably clean and beautiful decor, comfortable beds, and everything you need in the kitchen. 2 great places to sit on the deck and enjoy the view. kayaks and bicycles if you wish to use them. wonderful peaceful place ! This 5 ***** star review can’t convey how great… but if you’re thinking of renting on Lake Norman this is the place for you !

Great location, beautiful lakefront home

We loved this lake house! High quality beautiful decor & furniture inside & out. House was completely stocked w/ everything we needed + much more! Kids ages 11-17 enjoyed the floating mat and swimming in the very quiet private cove w/ no worry of boat traffic. Ramp was nearby & very easy to get boat on and docked @ the house. Plenty of room to park trailer & truck @ house. Tonya was great to work with. Prepared us for everything ahead of time & gave great recommendations for restaurants and nearby entertainment. We loved boating to dinner @ Toucans. Lake Norman is now one of our favorite places!

Lovely week at the Island Oasis

We stayed at this property for a week and had an amazing time. This is one of the cleanest properties we’ve stayed in on the lake I would add that the hosts really go out of their way to make sure everything you need is on the property! There is absolutely nothing I would ask them to change.

A beautiful home in a peaceful neighborhood! We have stayed in several VRBO rentals and this home was the best by far. The home is exceptionally clean, beautifully decorated and very comfortable! It is stocked with “Everything” you would need and more. When we did have questions, Tonya responded quickly and was so gracious. Prior to our stay Tonya provided a detailed list of area restaurants, shopping and activities. This was so helpful to have ahead of time. There are so many places inside and outside of the home to relax and enjoy. The sunsets are absolutely gorgeous. We created many fond family memories at this lovely lake front home.

Warm and Wonderful Thanksgiving at the Lake!

We took Thanksgiving on the road this year and we could not have had a better experience! The home is well-appointed. While we brought our own special china, serving pieces and silver for sentimental purposes, all of our dining needs would have been more than met by what was in the house. We had 3 family members working remotely during the week and found the strength and speed of the Wi-Fi to be more than satisfactory. We also were pleased to find that though the house feels like a true escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life, grocery delivery services were still available. Who would want to leave the property to head to store!? One of the highlights of our stay was spending every evening around the fire pit on the porch watching the stunning sunsets over Lake Norman. I truly believe this house has the best sunset views on the lake! Even the blue heron who joined us seemed to agree. The location is on a quiet cove with big lake views, making it a safe haven for inexperienced kayakers while not forgoing the beauty of the larger body of water. I would be remiss not to mention our lovely host. She was responsive to every need and gave us great suggestions on ways to enhance our stay. You will find an immaculate, warm, and welcoming home with comfortable furnishings to enjoy during your stay. We have already recommended the property to friends and look forward to returning soon!

Amazing location

The house was amazing, the weather was incredible. I have talked about doing this trip with my dad and brothers for a long time and it did not disappoint. Couple things you might want to be aware of or suggested…. Spare key for sure, even in a lock box somewhere for obvious reasons. Some of the kitchen pans a warped which made it difficult for cooking consistently. The fire pit only lasted us about an hour before the propane ran out so plan on refilling the propane tank.(not included in rental) There were spider webs everywhere, especially on all the out door patio furniture. Overall, amazing house, amazing experience, amazing views. Thank you.

This was a great lake house and the host was excellent. It’s a beautiful home right on the water with a lot of amenities including three kayaks to explore the lake. There’s also shopping and restaurants close by. Overall, it was a great spot to explore Lake Norman

Great Time in Lake Norman

Wonderful VRBO experience in great home and location. The house had all you could ask for - lawn games, kayaks, outdoor grill, fire pit and pool table...perfect for family fun. Responsive host who went out of her way to communicate with us throughout our stay and she even provided some additional recommendations for what we could do in case of rain which thankfully did not happen. 5 Stars for sure!

Beautiful Home / Perfect Location

What a fantastic long weekend getaway for our family. This home is absolutely gorgeous, immaculately clean, perfectly located in a quiet corner of lake norman, and has everything you need to make your family vacation special. Tonya is wonderful, attentive and thoughtful, and made sure our experience was smooth & seamless. Perfect Lake House!

What a perfect home on the lake! So much room for everyone, with a great floorplan. We loved the Fall décor to celebrate Thanksgiving in your home, such a nice personalized touch! Everything was spotless and the house has everything you can imagine. Kitchen is fully equipped and bathrooms are stocked with all the necessities. The views are so great sitting out on the porch by the fire, or even in doors when it was chilly. The kids loved to run around in the huge yard and run down to the dock to fish. Our family had a great time using the game room. We are already planning to come back in the summer. Definitely a summer house with all the kayaks, floats, corn hole, etc. We LOVED everything about your home and our family that we brought with us couldn't believe we found your home to stay. Thank you for opening your home for us to experience NC and Lake Norman for the first time...we will be back!
