Fantastic!
I rented this home as a place friends & family could stay as well as the venue for my husband's 50th surprise party. It had everything my guests & myself could want. Lots of space to spread out while still allowing for large groups to gather. The teens loved the game room & movie theater. Fully stocked kitchen so you can cook anything you desire. The only drawback are all the stairs but us old folks managed just fine! Overall 5 star location & highly recommend.

Friend’s reunion
We had a bachelor party/reunion for one of my best friends for 2 nights at this property. Beautiful, quiet and spacious place to stay for people who love the indoors or outside.

Perfect for big groups
Cabin and scenery was beautiful. Location was convenient also. The only thing our guests and I had a concern about was the water. We used bottled water to drink and cook, because of the strong iron smell/taste in the water. Overall though the house was perfect for our big group. We were never bored!

A wonderful week at Park Place
Our extended family enjoyed a lovely week here in July for a long overdue family reunion. We found the house more than adequate for our needs - from kitchen supplies to the media room. Owner was very responsive and quick to answer any question or concern. The location is beautiful - in a cove in the state park, and we had room for both swimming off the dock and tying up our boat. Great place for early morning kayaking. Will hope to enjoy this place again!

Great home for an extended family vacation
We rented this wonderful home for a weeklong vacation with my husband’s mother, his siblings and their families. It was a great place with lots of room, a fabulous movie room, pool table and multiple decks leading to the lake. The lake was lots of fun and we even rented a pontoon boat one day and had it delivered! The kitchen was beautifully stocked with cooking ware, bakeware and even a ton of spices! The property manager stayed in contact with us throughout the week and was very helpful and timely. There are lots of steps both in the home and down to the dock which was difficult for some family members but overall we were thrilled with this home!

Great place!
Our family had a great thanksgiving weekend here. There was something for all of us with the game room, theatre room, canoe, and great hiking. The kitchen and dining area was just right for cooking and serving a big family meal. The view from the decks and the windows is cozy and woodsy. We would definitely return.

Beautiful House and helpful owner
We had a large group gathering that celebrated a friend's 40th birthday party at this property. We were all blown away by how beautiful this house is and how much space! It was everything we needed for the weekend; from a kitchen fully stocked for cooking and baking, to grills for use, to a canoe and kayak...the property really had it all! Jack was readily available with prompt responses when I contacted him in advance, as well as during the weekend for any questions. He was a great host for a fantastic house! It really helped to make our weekend special. I only wish we would have stayed longer!

Good, clean property. Lots to do.
This was a very nice place to spend a family vacation. The facilities were well maintained. Good access to the lake with its own private dock, two kayaks, and a canoe. Pool table on the ground floor. Great movie room. Five very nice bedrooms with individual decks. Now for the negatives: Internet access was spotty. The entertainment system was hard to figure out and required a lot of trial and error. Location is pretty remote to groceries. The beach at Lake Norman State Park, was not as nice as other state parks we have visited including flotsam in the water and sand.

Loved It!
We loved the house! Had everything we needed! The lake was not busy and when we went swimming off the dock, we weren't bitten by fish (normally happens alot in coves). We will definitely rent here again!

This was a fabulous property for our family to gather at for our son's wedding.
Jack was so helpful in getting us settled in. The kitchen is especially well equipped for large groups. My adult children absolutely loved this place.

The home is well loved and cared for and it’s in such a beautiful spot!
The home is massive and very separate so with 5 families all together, we didn’t even notice that there were 11 kids (6 toddlers) with us! Basically everything you need is there! The theatre room is awesome and SO well done! The perfect place for teenagers to sleep. The state park offers awesome hiking trails and family walks. We really enjoyed our time and Jack, the owner was SO attentive. We hope to be back soon!

Awesome house!
We stayed at Park Place for a reunion with 18 people over Labor Day weekend and had an amazing time. The house is set up over three floors, so it never felt crowded. The pictures and video do not give it justice. The house is beautiful and the property feels very secluded which made for a relaxing getaway. We rented a pontoon for Saturday at the nearby marina (10 min drive) and it was very easy and accommodating. We cooked every meal in the kitchen, which was fully stocked with every appliance or utensil we might need. Jack was so helpful, reaponsive, and friendly and his house was stocked with everything we needed. We had an amazing time, definitely stay at Park Place!!

terrific place to stay
Our 19 relatives had a family reunion July12-17, 2017 at Park Place. We had a ball. We found the place to be spotless, exceedingly well equipped, top quality appliances, plenty of linens and entertainment items. Not a thing was lacking in the kitchen which made meal prep easy. The grandchildren loved the canoes, kayack and swimming off the dock. All agreed it is a great place for a large group. We had a pool tournament downstairs, poker game upstairs and the kids watching a movie in the theatre room. Something for all. Jack was a super host, ready to answer any questions and make suggestions about the area. We highly recommend the property. We do this every two years, we may be back in 2019. Great spot for a family reunion
We stayed here when my nephew got married in Charlotte. Loved being on the lake and in the middle of the state park. Easy access to wedding activities in Charlotte too. There was room for everyone, and the teenage girls created a beauty bar in the master bath. We enjoyed hiking, kayaking and boating. Jack was super helpful too. Great place!

great house, great location!
We had a family get together at this property and the sister property. the homes were well stocked with everything you would need for a long weekend. We brought a boat and the docks at both homes were great for tying up for a few days. we had 12 adults and 11 kids and we had plenty of room. Great time had by all. Jack was very easy to work with, gave great instructions for check in etc. The grocery store is a bit of a hike, but the flip side is, these homes are secluded on a little cul-de-sac in the middle of the state park. beautiful and quiet.

Perfect Location for a large gathering!
We had the best time staying at Park Place! Beautiful home on a quiet part of the lake with more than enough space for everyone and then some. If I'm back in Lake Norman any time soon this will be my first choice!

One of our families greatest weekends.
We found this rental a wonderful place to celebrate the graduation of one of our grandchildren and the 0 ending birthday of the the oldest family member. Three generations of each of the grandchild's parents were able assemble at one place for a weekend of fun and fellowship. Ages were from 7 to 70 and all enjoyed a GREAT, GREAT weekend. The photos here greatly understate this rental. All has been considered. Unlike many of our previous rentals, this kitchen was FULLY equipped. We will definitely use this house again.

Gorgeous house that sits right on the lake
We have stayed at this house for 3 years now. It is a great home that is well stocked with anything you could need. The kitchen has shelves full of spices and every utensil imaginable. The dock is beautiful and using the kayaks on the lake is always one of my favorite things. The movie theatre is very nice. Overall really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to other people.

House was perfect for a family reunion!
We had 13 people and it accommodated everyone well. We really enjoyed the kayaks, noodles, and other flotation devices for lounging in the lake. The kitchen has everything you need in terms of pots, pans, and utensils, including an ice cream scooper! We used the green egg for grilling, which was great! And we also used the oven to cook large meals. We made a day trip into Charlotte, but with the lake so close, we cancelled our Carowinds outing and opted to hang out at the house instead. We took some great family photos in the front yard and on the dock. We couldn't have asked for a better place! It was nice that the owner lived close by - he helped us with the Nintendo set up.

The home was beutiful

Beautiful area of the lake!

Wonderful house/property-Perfect for larger group!
We rented this house on the 4th of July weekend with a group of five families. The house was perfect! Lots of space- stocked with everything you could need and more! Plenty of space for everyone to spread out and hang out. Very nice perk that almost every room has its own bathroom. Quite kid friendly (LOVE that there is a gate with latches at the end of the dock) too! We met Jack (the owner) as we were checking in. He is very nice and hospitable! We absolutely enjoyed our stay and have already started looking for a date to come back next year! Thank you Jack for a wonderful 4th of July weekend!

Fantastic Vacation!
We rented both Boardwalk and Park Place for a birthday celebration. We stayed for five days and the accommodations held all 32 of us! The homes were just a short walk apart, and it was nice to have a bit of separation. The larger home was stunning. It was beautifully appointed and decorated. There were decks off of almost every room in the house and the location was beautiful. The smaller home is definitely more outdated and was a bit musty smelling, but its location provided for better swimming for everyone. Having use of both homes allowed us to use the larger one for meals and the smaller one for swimming. The lake is beautiful and the water was deep off of both docks. I would definitely recommend renting these properties. Jack Green, the owner, was so wonderful to deal with, and his propoerty manager met all of our needs (ie: more toilet paper!) immediately. We would definitely stay there again!

Amazing
The house was beautiful and was perfect for a guy's weekend! There were so many entertainment options (pool table, game room, and lake activities) and it never felt crowded with 20 men in the house for the 3 day weekend. The house had many high end features and Jack did a great job giving directions and laying out the rules/expectations before we got there. I plan on coming back in the future and it's a perfect house for retreats and family reunions.

The house was great!!
We had 18 family members staying in the house and we had a great time!! We did have some older family members who struggled with the abundant amount of steps, but other than that our family was able to share quality time together as well as spread out in our own private space when needed.

Beautiful location, beautiful house
Went here for a long weekend with a bunch of friends. We had a ton of fun out on the kayaks, walking around the park, playing at the nearby disc golf course, and playing video games in the huge theater room. We also grilled some amazing meals on the Green Egg and just generally enjoyed the beautiful view while having a beer on any one of the many decks and balconies. The inside was comfortable and spacious and the owner and his son were good dudes. Had a great time.

A business training week in the perfect location
Park Place was the most successful training location that we have rented throughout the time our organisation has been around. Park Place was clean, exactly as described, large enough to house our 18 employees, secluded, quiet and ideal for any business or group of people hoping to hold a similar event. Our host made our experience beyond expectation. He was extremely accommodating, flexible, prompt with pre-stay details and so kind! Our employees took equal interest in him, because of his friendly and kind attitude toward our stay and our training week. The lake and the surrounding trails were gorgeous, the facilities both in the house and in the surrounding state park were family and business friendly. The kitchen was well equipped, the water sports equipment were free and readily available to use, the movie theatre was fantastic, and the spaciousness of the house allowed all 18 of us the privacy and freedom to not feel like we were all cramped in together. Our host was extremely informative and well-educated in parks and forestry so he gave us tips and ideas on how we could better manage our training and utilise the area that we were in. He was extremely passionate about Lake Norman and the surrounding forest and took great pride in the home that he rented out to us. He also went above and beyond in other areas like providing unlimited charcoal for our bbq night, unlimited toilet paper and so much more. We've never had those things offered at other homes and I can tell you, at 7pm at night when you realise you forgot to replenish the toilet paper - having those added bonuses that our host provided takes a lot of stress off your plate! For businesses or large (and small) family and friend parties you can look forward to: - a location that is secluded yet filled with many adventure and water-related activities - a house big enough to accommodate large groups - a host that is organised, helpful, and friendly - a place that is easily accessible via the airport - a place where you won't want to leave! I can speak for days on how fantastic our stay was. Having run many similar events, I have come to find that a house like this is hard to come by and a host like ours is few and far between. We are very thankful, and if you'll have us, we'll be back for more! Thanks again for a successful training week!

50th Wedding Anniversary Family Reunion
Our eight days here were as perfect as we could have imagined. Our family of fifteen—ranging in age from 6 to 76—enjoyed all the numerous amenities the house offers. The younger ones camped out in the media room, while they and the adults enjoyed the pool table, TVs, and games. The kayaks and canoe, plus the fishing and boating dock, gave all of us the fun any lake house should provide. The spacious rooms and private balconies meanwhile offered privacy whenever any couple sought it. The house was clean and the kitchen and bathrooms most accommodating.Taking hikes and walks in the surrounding woods was as entertaining and relaxing as was the water access. We'll recommend it to friends. A beautiful getaway! Also, on our departure day we awoke to find a flat tire on our car. Dave came to our rescue, repaired the tire, and pumped it up. We were very grateful for this "extra" service.
