This was the best Hilton stay I've ever had. I was recognized for Honors status and taken very good care of. Just wish my neighbors weren't so inconsiderate but this was the hotels fault.

Really enjoyed our stay except for our Truck window being broken out and my cell phone being stolen. Two other cars were broken into the same night as well. Property needs better security cameras located and trees need to be trimmed up higher for security.

Check in is at 4. We got their early around 1. They would not allow early check in saying they had no rooms. Any large hotel always has some rooms. There can't be 700 rooms all being released at 4. Turns out priority for check in is given to people using Hilton Honors which I am, but I booked through Expedia. We were finally able to get into a room at 330. Hotel was undergoing construction on some floors. Staff seemed overwhelmed since the hotel was sold out. Stayed here a few times for work. Will not stay again.

We were not impressed with the facilities in relation to the premium price tag. For a little more we could have stayed at the Ritz Carlton. For the price we anticipated this hotel to be top-notch. There was a used/dirty washcloth hanging in the shower when we arrived to our room. The room smelled strongly of marijuana. Sadly that is not uncommon with any caliber of hotel in the Charlotte area as of lately though. The outside grounds needed to be landscaped & cleaned up a bit. The escalator was broken during our stay, which also happened to be during a very large wedding ceremony. We had to use the stairs several times because the elevators were overcrowded due to the wedding guests. There was construction supplies & trash left in the stairwells from what we assume was remodeling. In my opinion, this was a 4-5 star priced hotel with 2-3 star qualities. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't exceptional. I would have expected to pay $130/night at a hotel like this, not close to $300. On the other hand, the staff was wonderful. Every staff member we encountered was super helpful, friendly & accommodating.

It was a terrible experience. Our room wasn't ready at check in, so they "upgraded" us to the premium floor. The premium was a joke. The first room we were in the air was broken. We keep being told that a tech would be up in 15 to 20 minutes. After 2 hours we were asked if we wanted to leave the room to chill off and return later. Its our wedding night. We wanted privacy and to be alone. Around 830 we were moved to another room after realizing the air couldn't be fixed. We were excited, but unfortunately the bed was sunken in. We tried to make the best of the situation but on our last night we slept upright just to get some kind of rest. The bed was so uncomfortable and we tossed, turned and kept rolling down into the pit in the bed. We did notify the property manager Sunday morning regarding the bed. They offered us access to breakfast and half off for one night. We wished that we would have just left all together Saturday. Both rooms were consider premium and there is no way they didn't know about the room issues. The hotel was booked, that when we realized those rooms were likely out of commission and yet they gave them to us.

Staff was rude, impolite and not helpful. Ice machine on our floor was broken. Staff said they would fix in an hour. Front desk told us to go the bar to get ice. We made our way to the bar and were ignored and when the bartender acknowledged us he was rude and exasperated at our request. We were at this property's for two nights and ice machine was never repaired. Lower level escalator broken. Our room smelled like they were trying to cover something up and it was old and dated. TV remote broken. The entire floor smelled like pot after 9 pm. I have stayed at many Hilton properties and always have had good experiences but this by far was the worst!

The plan was to stay at this property while in CLT, but I had to get a full refund after the first night! Room smelled like smoke. A roach crawled out the outlet and up the wall. The faucet sputtered when you turned it on and got everywhere. The bathtub did not drain. Fire alarm went off in the early AM hours. For this to be a Hilton property, I was highly disappointed. The only good thing about the place was the lake view. The building needs renovations and is outdated. Bathroom is also too small. I could barely close the door.

The location and boardwalk were great. The hotel is a bit dated and smelled like mildew on 8th floor. The check in and check out clerk was the best!!!!

The staff was very rude and had an attitude. The bathroom in our room was subparly clean but the beds were clean. Overall the rude staff and not clean bathroom made me give it the rating that I did. Overall the area is nice!

Our suite conditions were not great! No hot water on second day in Shower. Faucet hot water handle fell off. Toilet seat base kept moving out of place.

Only one trash can in the entire room, which is in the bathroom and it’s only big enough for a two packs of notebook paper.I had empty food boxes and had to place them on the floor in the room because the trash can in the bathroom is very narrow and small

Central location, and the boardwalk is lovely. A few nice areas in the hotel but the current renovations happening are needed. Room was comfortable, bathroom was a pain. But other a good hotel.

Great location. Convenient to UNCC, uptown and interstate. Our room was in need of a deep clean as there were stains on the curtains, walls and doors. The bathroom was extremely small. We expected more and were disappointed with our room.

I arrived there for check in at 1:00, which I know was earlier than the advertised check in time of 4:00pm However, I didn't receive a room until 6:00pm. Others who arrived after I did, yet before 4:00, received their rooms. Yet, I waited.
