We loved enjoying the double decker dock and utilizing the available Lily pad, paddle board, and floaties. We had a great time in the house using the pool table and great kitchen. This place was great for our yearly vacation!

Summer vacation on the lake!

We had a very nice time staying on Lake Norman. We had three teenagers with us. We rented a pontoon boat for a couple days and the kids loved going tubing. The boat was delivered and picked up right on the dock. The dock was our favorite spot as it is two stories with plenty of furniture to sit on and a extra large sunbrella for shade from the hot sun. We stayed through the Fourth of July and by far had the best view of the fireworks and all the boats in the cove lit up the lake. We also loved and enjoyed the swinging two seater swing right on the dock. It was and peaceful week. Leah our host was very accommodating and pleasure to work with!

Nice location, disappointing stay

I will start with the positive, the house was very conveniently located on the lake with a very nice dock. The negatives, house was outdated compared to the photos provided. Host was not cooperative in taking ownership on issues of the house while we were there -Our first 20 minutes we were there on Monday, we texted the owner about the AC not working properly. The thermostat seemed as it was on a “hold” and it wouldn’t adjust temperature. The host stated that she spoke to her ac guy and he stated it was “ok” that the temperatures were so hot that the ac units in the area were having a hard time keeping up. We took their word on it and didn’t try to mess with the thermostat. Temperatures in the house reached 84 degrees the next two days. It was truly unbearable. I will say, the host did come and put up curtains in hopes that would help, but it did not. By Wednesday we were so miserable that we decided to start pushing buttons on the thermostat, some how taking it off of the “hold” it was on making the thermostat work as it was intended. After talking to the host on Friday after we left, she agreed that it was on them and their AC guy was not correct and she apologized. But when we asked for some money back due to the major inconvenience of staying in a hot home, the owner refused. Even after she agreed it was their fault. TRULY DISAPPOINTING!! We work hard for our money and our trip was ruined by the host and an unbearably hot home!

NASCAR weekend

Our group ages 14-74 enjoyed our stay this weekend! The house had a beautiful view of the lake! The home was very clean and Leah was quick to reach if needed. The neighborhood is quiet, clean, and safe. The views of the lake cannot be beat and the two story dock was the best for sunset viewing. We chose this lake home to enjoy before and after the NASCAR races. It was a perfect escape from the crowds!!

PGA Championship visit

The property is as described with a couple of wonderful surprises. The dock and deck on the water is a beautiful work of art. We hung out there a couple of nights. The deck around the back of the house is older, but well laid out. The house itself easily handled 4 adults and a little dog. Leah was a great host and handled our requests professionally and promptly. We are already talking about coming back in the future. We recommend.

Great Lake get away

The dock and outside of property is spectacular. Great views, perfect location, easy to get boats in and out. The house is well stocked. Had a great time with my family 14 yo to 76 yo all had great stay.

Perfect Getaway

Arriving, this home felt like a close friend had lent it to us. Instantly relaxed, beautiful views, very quiet area, and nice beds. I liked how welcome we were to be there, neighbors waved and brought us cheesecake. :) We would enjoy staying here again, it was exactly what we needed. I'd recommend you check it out, the pool table was really fun too.

Perfect Stay

Working with Leah was wonderful! Overall, it was a fantastic stay—probably the best VRBO experience I have ever had. What struck me most was how well-equipped the house was. Leah thought of everything: from a fully stocked kitchen with all the essentials and some delightful extras, to cozy and comfortable bedding that made us feel right at home.We stayed during Christmas, and to our delight, Leah had put up a beautiful Christmas tree, adding a festive and warm touch to our holiday. Every detail seemed to be considered, including helpful local tips that made our stay even more enjoyable. Leah's attentive communication and warm hospitality truly set this stay apart from others. I highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a comfortable, well-equipped, and welcoming retreat. I can't wait to return!

Enjoyable Thanksgiving on Lake Norman

Both house & host were amazing. Well stocked kitchen & a seemingly endless supply of recreational equipment with enough toys & games to entertain all ages. Located at the end of a cul-de-sac, which is great if you have children (no need to worry about heavy traffic). We can't wait to book again during the summer so we may take full advantage of the two story dock & the plethora of water toys. Highly recommend this property.

The home was exactly as the pictures. I have never seen an AB&B so well equipped for just coming in with your suitcase. They had everything you would need to stay. Our stay was one of the best in our experience with AB&B. I would highly recommend anyone staying and I guaranty you will love your time there.

Blue bungalow

We enjoyed our stay so much!!! The blue bungalow was furnished with all of our needs. The host left us a welcoming basket which the grandchildren loved. They also loved the kayaks and paddle board. This is definitely a relaxing vacation spot. Hope to return in the future!!

Wonderful stay

We had an absolute wonderful stay at Lake Norman. The house was perfect. Clean, well stocked, and comfortable. Leah had a welcome basket with goodies for us when we arrived. We spent the month of April at the Blue Bungalow. The house met all of our expectations and the hosts were quick to respond to any questions or needs. The guys had a great month of fishing and having the dock was extra nice for easy access to the boat. We loved sitting on the deck to enjoy the awesome view. We even got some great sunset pictures from the top level of the dock. We definitely hope to stay again. We were able to meet the owners, Leah and Shawn, when they came over to take care of the yard. They are super people. We truly enjoyed meeting them. And the cherry blossoms were beautiful. We loved our time at Lake Norman.

I would recommend this place to everyone!

I would recommend this place to everyone! Great location on the quiet west side of Lake Norman. We live in Charlotte and needed a little getaway. We stayed at the Blue Bungalow for four days and wish we had the time to stay for another couple days! This is a beautiful property and location with incredible views. The home was so comfortable and peaceful and we had a stress free check-in. The rental is decorated perfectly and it was very clean!! The home is stocked with everything you could need and then some. Cozy and comfortable beds and there are lots of toys and items for playing in the lake. We especially enjoyed riding the bicycles through the neighborhoods, taking evening walks, fishing and sitting by the fire pit. The two-story boat dock is amazing and star gazing and counting shooting stars late at night on its top deck was a real highlight. Our host was so nice and accommodating and was very responsive and easy to communicate with when we wanted to know about using the firewood we didn’t know was provided. We had an awesome time! So peaceful, quiet and quaint. We will definitely be back!

Christmas in Carolina

We rented this the week of Christmas as it was close to another family member’s house, so location was great for us. It is at the end of a road, so minimal traffic. It has a beautiful view of the lake. It is an older home/cabin, but has been updated some. The host was able to accommodate an early check in which was appreciated. The host was also very responsive with any of the minor issues we had. A lot of necessities were also included and available which was nice. There was a slight musty odor to the place which was improved with some air fresheners. We didn’t use the deck much and did not use the pier or lake due to it being December. The beds were comfortable. Overall it is a nice lake cottage that I would rent again.
