Cute place

We had a soccer tournament in Charleston so we decided to make it a long weekend. We were looking for somewhere close to the beach for our down time and somewhere pet friendly and this place was perfect! Beds were super comfy and the outdoor area was so cute and relaxing!

Great location!

Hard to beat the location for access to the Folly Beach shops and restaurants. Well kept property, with a very nice courtyard. Easy check-in and out process.

Excellent location that's extremely comfortable!

Soft comfortable beds with all the ammenities you could need for a great stay in Folly Beach. Comes with a dedicated parking space that was very key on the long weekend. We are looking forward to a return trip!

Wonderful and Convenient

This place was great for our family. Situated right by the shops and restaurants, you didn’t hear anything from the strip. Every room had a fan which helped keep the sound at bay and helped us sleep! There were people upstairs and we never heard them either. I would highly recommend this stay to anyone. We would come back.

Good location convenient to everything you’d want in Folly. Sunny Side Down is nothing fancy but good enough for a place to sleep and make your home base for a few days.

Perfect weekend

Sunny Side Down checks all the boxes! An extremely clean and comfortable stay in the perfect location. Once in the gate it’s so private and the wall hanging baskets and lighting add such a special touch. It’s a true hidden gem! We plan to stay again, and again!

Folly Beach, SC

The property was in a fantastic location just a couple blocks from the beach and right across the street from multiple restaurants, bars, and shops. The house itself was nice and fit the 3 of us well. There is only one mirror which is in the bathroom so if you know you will have multiple people getting ready to go out at once, come prepared! Overall the trip and property were fantastic.

Center of town

Perfect for a small group. Pet friendly. Great location, close to everything. Nice fenced in yard/patio. However, there is a port-a-John for a parking lot right next to the fence. It got pretty rank on the patio when it warmed up outside. Good potential, could use some new mattresses and shower head.

Fun spot in the heart of Folly!

We had a wonderful stay at the Sunny Side Down apartment! Enjoyed the patio area in the afternoons between our morning sunrise beach walks and evenings out. The beach is no more than a 5 minute walk and the restaurants, shops and bars are just outside the patio gate to enjoy! We found the apartment to have everything we needed and was very clean upon arrival. We would definately stay again!

Return to Folly

Long overdue with family. Three 70 somethings stayed in the apartment and it was perfectly situated for guests with mobility issues. The patio was the perfect place to entertain nieces and nephews. Some noise from upstairs guests, but mostly during waking hours. The dedicated parking space was always available. We'll be back!

I would consider this to be a hidden gem. As you walk down Center Street you would never expect that there is a cute little apartment tucked behind the bustling shops and restaurants. I really don't think you could get a better location. We didn't bother with a car or golf cart because once you step out the door you are in the middle of everything. And despite the prime location, the apartment still manages to be quiet and peaceful. I recommend it for a small group or family staying at Folly Beach.

The house was almost perfect!!! We were able to check in early. It was very clean and it was a short walk to the beach. The only issue was we were in the down stairs unit and the renters in the upstairs unit had teenagers and the made a lot of noise until about 1am every day!

Great little place, very convenient to everything. needs a new coffee maker, as that one did not work correctly. Also encourage the owner to clean out around the backside of the house, old AC unit sitting in the corner, as most guests bring their dogs, and they harbor pests. Also might want to consider some traps for rodents scurrying about. Everything else was great and my family really enjoyed their stay.

Nice base from which to enjoy Folly Beach

We didn't know quite what to expect given the property's location behind a store, but it was surprisingly quiet (the noise ordinance works!) and super-convenient to walk to the pier/beach, dining, etc., and close to the county park. We needed a couple of missing kitchen items and the property managers dropped them off that same morning. We also chose it for dog-friendliness and ours got comfortable pretty quickly, even though the upstairs tenants also had a dog, which might have excited ours.
