We LOVED our stay in Folly! The property was amazing and perfect for two couples. There was easy access to the beach and town. The property had everything available…beach chairs, beach and bath towels, cooler…which was very helpful since we flew to SC and could only bring limited supplies. We look forward to staying here again and would not hesitate to try out one of the other Shacks!

Absolutely first-rate property on Folly! The unit was sparkling clean, finishes were high-quality and up-to-date, the unit had what we weren't able to lug along on our long flight, and communication from Sam & Katt was helpful and timely. Restaurants were an easy walk but far enough away that we couldn't hear them at night. We were just steps from the beach. My last week at Folly was in 1968...I think I'll try to return sooner this time. I'd happily stay in another of their properties again!! My only quibble is one fairly specific to me...wish there had been a tea kettle. But the microwave worked very well.

Really enjoyed our stay! Beyond so cute and really close to the beach and walking distance to pier and shops. Folly Beach is beautiful! I would never stay any where else- if in the Charleston area.

Another week in our favorite place…

We had another wonderful stay with Katt! The property is far more beautiful in person and had absolutely everything we needed. So close to the beach, every amenity you could ever want/need and has the perfect little outdoor space for little ones! Katt is readily available/on site for any needs. We can’t wait to stay here again…and again!

The Rathershacks

We stayed at The Rathershacks "Happy Shack" and the place was great. The place was very clean and the appliances were very nice and actually worked. There are all of the essentials just as stated. The beach amenities are great, not junk. There are so many towels for the beach and inside. The owners are the greatest and very helpful. When we go back we will most definitely check their places first.

Perfect location!

We could not be any happier with our stay!!! The property was exactly as pictured, clean and stocked with everything you needed for a comfortable stay. The walk to the beach was easy and short. Beaches are clean. You can even walk to town. The town has typical beach shops, restaurants (the lost dog breakfast 😁👍!!), ice cream and an awesome coffee shop! Access to the highways to explore the area are near by as well. It was our first trip to the area...highly recommend!!

Exactly what we were hoping for

This property was everything we were hoping for and more. It was clean, quaint, and most importantly, close to the beach and Center Street. Katherine and her husband also supply their properties with a whole sheet on recommendations in the area, which we utilized quite a bit. The house also came with some beach accessories, including chairs and an umbrella. We would definitely stay at the Rathershacks again

Was just what we needed. Peace and quite. Weather could have been better but no controlling that.

Home was just the right size for two. Think it would be a bit cramped if there was another couple. The home was well equipped. There was a little fly issue. Not sure where those fly’s were coming from might want to look into. We could not find lighting for the back yard and we grilled in the dark. Might want to change that.

Girls weekend

Booked a short stay for a girls weekend with my daughter at the Surf Shack. Short walk to town and even shorter walk to the beach! The weather and food were perfect. Some of our favorites were: crab legs at Snapper Jacks, shrimp salad at pier 101 and tacos at Taco Boy. Thanks for the hospitality!!

Perfect Location

Loved our first trip to Folly and the cottage was perfect! Great location close to everything but away from noise and a 3 minute walk to the beach. The decor is lovely, the beds are comfy and we couldn’t have been happier!

Surf Shack!!

I should start by saying that Kat and Sam are wonderful hosts!! The Surf Shack was perfect for mine and my sisters mini getaway. Very clean. Had everything we needed - Close to town, the beach, Bert’s, etc. Literally, was able to arrive Thursday and leave my car parked until we left Monday morning!! Can’t say enough good things. I will definitely be staying here again!

Week at Folly Beach

Quick Weekend Getaway

My husband and I made a quick trip down to Folly Beach to see a concert. This rental was well worth the trip. Very clean and cute! Close to the beach as well as downtown. Quiet location too! The owner, Katt, was very responsive as well! I would highly recommend this rental! I will definitely keep this on my list of places to go!

Perfect location and accommodations!

My husband and I and our 16 year old son stayed at the Surf Shack. We had a wonderful time and the location is just ideal. The house was very clean and cozy. Beach towels and chairs were supplied at the house, plus there was a grill we used a few nights. We highly recommend the Surf Shack!

Folly Family Fun

The Surf Shack was perfect for what my family of four needed. With a baby and a toddler rolling around in the floor I was very impressed with the cleanliness and felt comfortable letting them explore the house after putting some of the fragile decorations up high. I was a little worried about sound from the other connecting shack but never heard a thing and during our stay we had at least three other guests in and out of the connecting shack. We enjoyed Folly and we plan to come back and stay in the shacks again!
